Life Restart

At this moment, I am about to set out to the outside of the manor for the first time after taking ownership of this body, I'll be taking my first step into this new unfamiliar world.

What's coming next will be an entirely different experiences for me.

I am a little nervous in leaving, but my nervousness couldn't compare to the anxiety my send-offers are feeling.

Looking at me with eyes that looked tear stained are my mother and father. The reluctance they are experiencing can be showed even without words.

Father chose to be the first one to say his goodbyes out of the two.

Father took a deep breath and put his hands on my shoulder meeting my eyes "Letisha be careful of strangers, people you are unfamiliar with can not be trusted, especially I mean ESPECIALLY those men, All male students are wolves in human clothing! All of them are untrustworthy!" Father put more emphasis on the later parts of his advice thinking

' Can't have you bringing home a suitor anytime soon, my daughter is still 14, she can still live without any annoying mosquitoes around her'

Contrary to Alistair's mindset, Letisha thought of something else when he said his words

'Wolves in human clothes? Is he talking about beast kin? IS there anything wrong with them? But I thought this country was made of mostly humans, so wouldn't tit be rare to see any race that isn't humans within the academy too?'

I put on a confused look, meeting father's eyes "Father, I don't think there are any beast kin attending, this country is made up of mostly humans after-all."

Father looked at me as if he's meeting a rare species, he then muttered to himself loud enough for me to hear "....That's not what I meant!"

Breaking the conversation between father and me, mother pushed father away from me, and covered my hands with hers "Letisha if you ever need anything from us, be sure to send a letter, we will give you everything you need. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as its for you we will do it"

Mother bent over and whispered in my ear "Forget what your father said, I'd be happy if we could see someone special to you"

Not noticing the hidden meaning behind mother's second words, I said "Mother, Father, I won't meet anyone that is more special than you guys, In this world, you are the people who I know will be by my side no matter what, the only people who I can feel at ease with. You don't need to worry about me at all, I will become someone that both of you can be proud of."

Mother and Father both had wide eyes from my declaration. Their daughter who for most of her life never told them they loved them suddenly called them her special people. It's like a dream come true, something they can't believe is actually happening.

In all these years, they never felt this fulfilling feeling, they thought 'They would take all the harsh criticisms that were given to them by Letisha in the past again, if it meant she would be saying these heart warming words in the end'

Alistair wiped out a tear bringing out a bright smile "We are very thankful for having a daughter like you Letisha"

'.....I am also glad to have parents such as you' I silently said in my heart

Looking like he remembered something important suddenly, father spoke saying "Letisha, there is one more thing we need to inform you about before you leave"

Calming his emotions father stated "There will be another person staying by your side during your time in the academy, as much as you assure us you'll be alright, it's still better to have someone report to us how you're doing."

"Oh I see" I agreed thinking 'Somebody to accompany me in the academy, being a middle person between father, mother, and me would make sending letters and such much more convenient'

"We looked through some candidates within the staff and found someone who we believed you would not mind being your companion"

As father finished his sentence, a maid with brown hair arranged in a simple yet well done pony tail stepped into my vision.

The maid performed a curtsy with her lips in a big grin "It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to be at your service young miss, I, Marie will be your maid during this excursion. "

A light tug on my lips appeared "It would seem we are going to be seeing each other for a longer time, I am glad to have you accompanying me to the academy Marie"
