Life Giver

Chapter 33 - A Solid Punch

Following the end of Redfire's teaching, Casmir decided to immediately head home.

While he was training his Qi flow using the new exercises, he realised that these exercises stretched and flexed nearly every part of his body. If he was to utilise the Life Body cycle while doing these exercises perhaps he could reliably train every part of his body.

As Casmir thought about this, he neglected to notice that someone was following him. It wasn't until they were outside of the university on a quiet path that this person caught up to Casmir and called out to him.

"Junior wait up!" A polite voice called out.

As Casmir turned around, he found a slightly taller young human had called out to him, Casmir felt that he knew this young man

"Ah, I finally caught up to you, you sure walk fast." The young man said with a smile.

Casmir noticed that this man was well dressed and polite, yet Casmir couldn't help but feel something off about him.

"I'm Arthur, Arthur Feniss. I just wanted to clear something up with you." He said with a gentle smile, he was clearly putting in an effort to appeal to Casmir.

"Clear something up?" Casmir asked back prompting Arthur to clarify himself.

"We met the other day at the Golden Flower House, I was hoping that you wouldn't tell anyone about that.. incident. It wasn't my fault, I was promised something and I was just trying to vent my feeling, you understand right?"

Casmir suddenly remember who Arthur was, he was the young man who had f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y kissed a young girl and proceeded to be 'kicked' out by Clara.

Casmir's impression of Arthur instantly hit rock-bottom as he frowned.

Noticing Casmir change in attitude, Arthur who appeared polite until this moment, changed his tactics.

Arthur's only goal was to get this unlucky new student to shut his mouth about what he saw at the brothel, he wanted to do it amiable but upon seeing Casmir's reaction to him, he knew it wouldn't be so simple.

He spoke in a harsher and more authoritative tone.

"Look, just don't tell anyone about it and we'll be friends. You might have heard about the Feniss Farming initiative? That's my families business." He said placing emphasis on his position of power.

Casmir frowned further, he truly didn't care about Arthur and didn't have any intention of spreading the news of his 'incident' at the Brothel. Casmir knew that Arthur wasn't a good person but from what Clara had about his family's power, Casmir wasn't going to needlessly provoke someone with power.

Intent on leaving as soon as he could Casmir said, "Fine, I wasn't going to say anything anyway."

Arthur smiled at his reaction believing his tactic had worked.

He patted Casmir shoulder laughing happily "Haha, Good my friend. It was just a simple scuffle over some whore named Rose..."

Casmir felt disgusted from Arthur's attitude but as he heard Rose's name and remembered why Clara had kicked him out, he froze.

Clenching his hands into fist's, he clarified in a hoarse tone, "..Ava Rose?"

Arthur was still smiling happily and didn't notice Casmir's change in attitude, he replied casually.

"Yeah that's her name, I wa..."

Before he could finish his sentence Casmir punched Arthur right in the jaw, the resulting explosion of force knocked Arthur backwards and onto the floor.

Arthur, an older, grade 1, advancement 5 cultivator, was knocked unconscious before he even hit the ground.

"God damn sc.u.m!" Casmir hissed at Arthur, ignoring the slight pain coming from his hand.

It took a few moments for Casmir to recollect himself, Casmir was disgusted by Arthur cavalier attitude towards those girls but what angered him to the point of punching Arthur, was his intentions for Rose.

After Casmir had first met Arthur and Clara kicked him out, she informed Casmir that Arthur wanted to 'buy' someone.

This was a disgraceful act on it's own, but the fact that he wanted to 'buy' Rose, crossed Casmir's bottom line.

As Casmir calmed down and realised what he had done, he felt slightly nervous but he didn't regret his actions.

He walked over to Arthur to check he was still breathing properly.

After confirming he was fine Casmir simply walked away, Arthur would soon wake up and be able to make his own way home. Casmir had no intention of apologising to him or helping him in any way.

After Casmir had walked out of view, a pair of Elemental's silently walked out of some nearby shrubbery.

Shockingly one of them was Instructor Redfire, the other was a plainly clothed old man with a cold black aura.

The old man was frowning as he spoke, "He won't let this go easily."

Redfire tossed the old man a small crystal, "This is all he'll get, If he doesn't like it, tough shit."

The old man's eyes gleamed as he saw the crystal, he quickly pocketed it.

"Fine."

Redfire began to walk away continuing to follow Casmir, however before he was out of sight he turned around to look at the old man.

"Remind this kid that it was his own fault. If he retaliates, it won't be me he'll be afraid of, it will be my sister." Redfire said coldly before he left.

The old man frowned before he gently picked up Arthur.

This old man was Arthur's guardian, he would have intervened earlier if not for Redfire stopping him.

The old man understood how much weaker he was compared to Redfire.

When Casmir got home he immediately went to the training hall, he sat down on its steps watching the small stream as water flowed by.

His thoughts stirred like the water he watched.

He didn't know if what he did was right or not, he didn't really care about that. What he cared about was his control, he shouldn't have reacted so rashly.

After thinking for a short while Casmir decided to forget about it, he couldn't change what he did, only what he would do.

He got up and started his exercise's.

As Casmir began to use the Life Body Cycle with the basic exercises, he realised his body felt much less strained than before. Previously he had just been pushing his body to the limit using various unorganised exercises, with the basic Qi flow exercises he felt the energy in his body flow from one place to another refining his body.

He wasn't simply using up the energy, he was letting it flow through him.

"Oooh..." Casmir g.r.o.a.n.e.d for a moment, the sensation's he felt as the energy flowed through his body were amazing.

By the time Casmir felt exhausted ha had doubled his previous training period from half an hour to a whole hour, when he checked his progress of the Life Body Cycle it had gone up by 0.4% to 4.4% overall.

"Hahaha.. I'll be done in no time..." Casmir laughed to himself happily.

Normally each session would only raise his completion by 0.1%, this was a massive increase and Casmir couldn't help but be curious as to what his body would be like when he finished the cycle.

Casmir had noticed how powerful he had gotten when he knocked out Arthur earlier, such a fast powerful punch was way beyond Casmir's capabilities a few weeks ago.

It was a solid punch.

Casmir couldn't help but feel a bit proud of it but he was suddenly awoken from his thoughts as Elena called out to him.

"Casmir!"

Casmir was resting on the floor as spoke back "Hey! Sorry I didn't come see you straight away, I wanted to vent a bit."

Elena, who was wearing one of her nice white dresses, walked over and sat down next to Casmir questioning him.

"Vent? Did something happen at the academy?"

Casmir went on to explain to Elena what happened with Arthur, she was shocked to hear about someone so disgraceful.

She leaned over and gave Casmir a kiss.

"You did great, don't doubt yourself." She said comforting Casmir.

Casmir smiled back as he spoke jokingly, "Thanks, do you think Rose will give me a kiss too?"

Elena blushed as she lightly poked his side in protest.

"How should I know? Hmph, you should just ask her yourself."

Casmir leaned over to Elena hugging her, "How has she been? Is she getting along with the family alright?"

Elena smiled lightly as she explained how Casmir grandfather, Alonso, had been bothering all day about a baby room, apparently he was even more enthusiastic than Barbara.

"Haha, I'll talk to him about it." Casmir said.

"More importantly, how are you? With Rose?" Casmir gently asked.

Elena was clearly a little reluctant to talk about it but she spoke eventually.

"I'm ok, it still feels weird... I-I think you should spend some more time with her though. At the moment all you do is pop in every other day to see how she is."

Casmir nodded but he needed to clarify something with Elena first.

"Are you ok with me being.. intimate with her? Don't force yourself, I don't want you to feel like you don't have a choice." Casmir said quietly as he held Elena tightly.

Elena was silently for a while, she leant onto Casmir c.h.e.s.t as she listened to the water flow down the nearby stream.

"Promise you won't lea..."

"I promise." Casmir said before Elena cold even finish.

Elena rested on him silently for a few more minutes before she sat up again.

"Ok, don't tell me about it unless it's anything important. I trust you." Elena said.

Casmir stood up, even though his body still felt a bit week, he picked up Elena in his arms and walked towards the house.

"I hurt you, so just like I promised, I wont let you out of my sight until you collapse in p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e."

Elena entire face flushed red as she squirmed, she was reluctant to let Casmir have his way with her but also reluctant to tell Casmir, that was exactly what she wanted.

"..w-wait... I was in the middle of cooking dinner.." Elena eventually said.

Casmir awkwardly stopped as he realised he was starving and he couldn't just whisk Elena away whenever he wanted.

He scratched his head awkwardly saying "Sorry, I got a bit ahead of myself there...."
