Law Of Creation

Chapter 39 - New Terms

Day 2nd, the month of the earth, aka spring.

"Fortunately, you have recovered. But, sigh." Lan Bingyue was talking with Mingyue. Lan Bingyue only had a few days worth of time together with her delicate daughter.

Today was the first day of the month of earth, aka spring. Now Mingyue is 11 years old.

Mingyue should have celebrated her birthday back in the middle of the month of water, aka winter. Fortunately, there was no need for a big celebration.

Usually, commoner only celebrated the age of 15 as the first step to become an a.d.u.l.t, and at the age of 5, they had Ceremony of Acknowledgement. But the sad thing for Lan Bingyue was Mingyue had to celebrate Mingyue's birthday in a bad condition.

After many days of recuperation, Mingyue's condition had gotten better. Of course, her recovery rate was much slower than the normal child, but it was better than nothing.

Lan Bingyue also knew that Mingyue was absorbing a part of the healers Elemental. That was one of the Witch's traits. They could absorb a small part of Elemental from other people. That's why Lan Bingyue was suggesting that they should hire a bunch of healer from Mercenary Guild.

Of course, the pretext she used was 'We couldn't afford to trust Apothecary Guild since Yueyue's body experienced an Over-usage of Elemental, it should be better to ask healer from Mercenary Guild'.

And Xia Longyu bought her words. Lan Bingyu couldn't help but smile when she imagined her father-in-law reaction.

'Apothecary Guild? Those money-grubbers? Scram for this Daddy! I don't want to be scammed by them again! Go hire those healers! Make sure to hire them from many cities, don't depend on the one at Royal City! Make sure we could hire at least a hundred!' Xia Longyu kicked Xia Wushan in the b.u.t.t.o.c.k.s and ordered him. Xia Wushan ran away from the reading room as if he was running away from a Demonic Beast.

Lan Bingyue took a good look at Mingyue, who was sitting on the chair in front of her. Currently, both of them was having a lunch in the dining room. "Yueyue, you must remember. Never Over-usage of Elemental again. Your body recovery was far too slow." Lan Bingyue said with sadness in her face.

Mingyue nodded and answered, " Don't worry Mom, I will listen to you." Mingyue gave Lan Bingyue a reassuring smile. After that, Mingyue continued to concentrate on the food in front of her.

"And remember, be careful at the Academy. Don't trust anyone there." Lan Bingyue gave Mingyue a serious look. "Never tell anyone about your plan."

Mingyue was contemplating for a while as she had some good friends and also good roommates. Mingyue felt bad if she had disappeared so suddenly. But in the end, she nodded.

Mingyue couldn't afford to let her family's plan to go awry because of her own selfishness. At least, it's not like what Mingyue wanted to do was harming her friends.

[Sigh, only a few days. I don't really want to be separated with her, but. . .] Lan Bingyue was conflicted in her own mind.

In the end, Lan Bingyue just spent her every day together with Mingyue. Making sure that Mingyue would have enough motherly love in these limited times.

Lan Bingyue's Monologue

Day 10th, the month of the earth aka, spring.

Seeing the carriage that was disappeared, I felt in a loss.

I couldn't hold my tears anymore. She, who had the same Witch Bloodline as me, would have to depend on herself from now on. I couldn't do anything that attracting any attention, or my other children would be implicated.

Longyi had gone with his master. His destination would be a solitary island with an active volcanic mountain, far in the west. I don't know how long he would be gone, but I believe he would be safe there. Ever since he knew about the story from father-in-law and my husband, he became gloomy and very rarely smiled. He only smiled in front of Yueyue and me, but I knew that he didn't really smile anymore. A good kid with a good smile had changed.

Lanyue had gone to Water Association's mercenary cities after she got an agreement to be a mercenary. She went together with her 4 friends from the Academy. All of them had dropped out from the Academy for good. She didn't know anything about the Xia family's danger, but that was for her own good. With her hot and short temper, she would definitely go to her uncles and cousins to beat them up.

Yueyue, she was the one I worried the most. She had the same bloodline with me, but her body was much weaker than my body in my young days. Her body recovery rate too was very slow. Moreover, she had to make a run herself. Even though she could depend on her rusty necklace, I couldn't help but worried about her. This world was wide with so many dangers everywhere, I only could pray for her safety.

Little Shi would be with me after Yueyue ran away from the Academy. We would go to the Clear River City in Water Association together.

[Why did these things happen to my family!] I wanted to scream! I wanted the answer !!!

As I was in the middle of my sadness, I could feel someone was hugging me. He didn't say a word. He understood that there was nothing he could say.

He had done his best for the family, for our family, but there were a lot of enemy from inside and outside. We are powerless. And his brother didn't care about us and making us fall even deeper into despairs.

I didn't know when we could meet each other again, but I only could pray for our family's safety.

Until the day we reunited.

Inside the carriage.

"Xiao Jing, Xiao Wu, I am on the way. In a short time, I will arrive in the Wolf Forest. Prepare to return." Mingyue sent telepathy to the two girls.

[It has been a long time since I saw them.] Mingyue smiled while muttering silently.

Today was the day Mingyue return to Star Royal City. She had spent this last month with condensing the third and fourth Spirit Brand. Since Mingyue had a surprise from the healers, she decided to condense them into Spirit Brand. And luckily, Mingyue could condense the fourth one. But it was still not full yet. Thanks to her stunt, Mingyue's healing rate was really low.

[Well, in exchange for my slow recovery, I could provide enough Elemental to support those girls cultivation and I even could condense another Spirit Brand. Well, the price was a little pricey, but it was better than nothing. The girls training went well. I shouldn't be experiencing another near-death experience anymore.] Mingyue was humming because of her good mood.

Suddenly, two shadows went into the carriage without anyone realizing it. Only Mingyue knew who it was, thanks to the connection between her Immortal Soul and Spirit Brand. Xiao Jing and Xiao Wu.

Similar to Mingyue, there was nothing different from their appearance. Both still had the same appearance and temperament, but their presence was much thinner than the last time Mingyue saw them.

"Un, Shadow Stealth. It is a good move." Mingyue smiled.

Shadow Stealth was the second level of the Shadow Step. If Shadow Step would allow the user to move around the blind spot, then Shadow Stealth would allow the user to remove their presence and sound. A very suitable technique for assassination.

The Nine World Celestial Step had nine movement techniques with 'step' in the technique name. Each movement technique had their own level, and this Shadow Stealth was exactly the second level of Shadow Step. The third level and the last was Shadow Form, allowing the user to become a shadow itself. That person could jump between shadow and hide in someone's shadow. It is a very convenient ability.

"Un, it was the easiest to learn!" Xiao Wu was boasting proudly. When Mingyue looked at her 'praise me' look, Mingyue just rubbed Xiao Wu's neck and cheek until she contented.

Xiao Wu was satisfied with only that.

"Of course it won't be too hard since Shadow Step movement technique is the very basic skill between nine movement techniques. You are a smart girl, so you will definitely be able to learn all of it. Cultivate more diligently, okay?" Mingyue continued to pat Xiao Wu as Mingyue coaxed Xiao Wu patiently.

Xiao Wu nodded her head while enjoying Mingyue's magical hand.

Originally, Xiao Wu always was the first one to w.h.i.n.e. Mingyue was more focused on Xiao Wu since she was planning to teach most of the Nine World Celestial Step. But because the challenge was too big, Xiao Wu felt that she was untalented and wanted to give up many times. Seeing Xiao Wu's miserable expression that was sent from Xiao Jing, Mingyue felt bad because she rushed things too fast. In the end, Mingyue just tried to coax Xiao Wu to learn three of the Human-tier movement technique. Unexpectedly, after a little coaxing, Xiao Wu became spirited again. Mingyue only smiled, knowing the way to encourage Xiao Wu.

[Well, all of it thanks to the long-distance video transmission from Xiao Jing. That was the first time Xiao Jing and I tried to do a very long distance video transmission. Fortunately, it works.] Mingyue remembered the sensation of using the long-distance voice transmission and the video transmission for the first time.

Different with Xiao Wu, Xiao Jing was a little indifferent about what she had achieved. After she arrived at the carriage, she only went back to Mingyue's body. Xiao Jing would rather prove the result. Xiao Jing had a different training plan, she focused on minimalizing the Elemental leakage every time she used the Elemental. And in the end, she could reduce the amount of Elemental leakage from her body. And of course, I asked Xiao Jing to teach Xiao Wu.

Elemental leakage was the inefficient form of Elemental usage of the two familiars. Since they were not very familiar with the Elemental manipulation, they would end up wasting almost half of the original cost of Elemental.

"Un, with Shadow Step, we could go anywhere undetected. With Clear Step, you could run on any landscape. And with Frost step, we could trick our opponent. These three skills are very useful, make sure to always train it, okay." Mingyue continued to coax Xiao Wu until they arrived at Star Royal City.
