In the middle of the forest. A bunch of black-clothed men was surrounding a corpse. Their colleague's body.

Someone was checking the wound on the corpse. They were surprised as they saw an unwounded body, except at one place. The corpse's neck was almost broken as half of the meat on the neck was chomped by something. It was akin killed by the Fierce Beast, but there was no any Fierce Beast in the Green Mountain!

"Leader. . . " One of the assassins hesitated to ask their leader.

"I know. Dispose the body. We will return shortly." The leader replied without hesitation.

". . . We aren't going to revenge him?" All of the assassins were surprised by the order of their leader since it was not the style of the Black Crow Palace. But since defying their leader's order was not an option, they could only ask.

"It will be problematic if the Academy's personnel were alerted. This retard was courting death all the time. We couldn't afford to fail this mission." A bone-piercing cold could be heard from the leader's word.

". . . I understand."

"Check the corpse before disposing it. We have to find the killer, but not now. That's it. Return now" The leader of the assassin clapped his hands and immediately lead his team out of the Green Mountain.

One of the assassins was shouldering the corpse and following from behind.

"Remember. Revenge best served cold." The leader added while on the move to outskirts of the Academy.

And the forest returns to its tranquil state in the night.

"... Yueyue…" A voice resounded repeatedly in her mind

[My head felt dizzy, I couldn't focus my mind.]

She felt something wet was touching her cheek repeatedly. Her eyes felt heavy too, but she forcefully tried to open her eyes.

[I couldn't see anything very clearly. But I believed that I was in a dark place.]

"…. Where.. Is this?" She tried to ask someone.

This place was kind of cold and wet. But there was something warm beside her. She unconsciously went closer to the something warm as if she was scared to lose the warmth. When she tried to touch it, that warm thing suddenly moved and made a sound.

". . . Xiao Wu?" She tried to make a voice. Her voice was too rough, maybe because her throat was dried.

Xiao Wu was surprised by my voice. "Yueyue!! Are you okay? Have you fully regained your consciousness? Is there something you need?" Xiao Wu was clearly happy for seeing Mingyue awake. But . . .

His 5 sense would be disturbed and his mind wouldn't be able to use Elemental for some time. His physical condition would be disturbed.

[I have tasted Over-usage of Elemental once, but this one was much more disturbing. It's not easy to hold a clear mind. Fortunately, my mind was stronger than normal people, but my body was much weaker than them. My body was weakened even further.]

[I believe Xiao Wu would understand them.] Mingyue nodded in her mind.

Mingyue gave Xiao Wu a reassuring smile as Xiao Wu returned to her Spirit Brand, which was located at outer-side of Mingyue's right t.h.i.g.h. Her Spirit Brand was shaped like a jumping deer. After patting my right t.h.i.g.h lightly, Mingyue took a branch and started to walk outside of the forest.
