Chapter 3: Gaining Enlightenment; Awakened

I do not know how much time passed since then. I only meditated alone.

At that time, I suddenly heard a voice. For unknown reasons, it was somehow transmitted directly into my head.

Oops, it won’t. But still, I can now see the surroundings!

The hype builds up and I tried to shout but my voice won’t come out.

I heard a strange voice again. At once, my happiness died and as a result, I gradually calmed down.

First of all, let’s confirm the situation.  The surroundings seem like a laboratory. There is no light and it is very dark. But I can still see them clearly.

Around me, various tools and weird test tubes were scattered. There is also a magic circle drawn ahead.

It ceased to function due to the long time it was left alone. I thought it was kinda dull but upon closer inspection, it’s cleaner and beautiful than I expected. What does it do?

Next, I examined myself. I have a beautiful silvery metal body. I willed myself to move and raised both my hands before my eyes.

Ooh, it worked!

There are exactly 5 fingers in each hand but they are clearly not organic. The fingers look more like robots.

Step, one more step.

I thought the sounds created would clatter but unexpectedly it is muffled. This body moves quite smoothly don’t you think?

Still, this body is kinda small. My viewpoint was only a head taller than the desk in front of me.

Hmm. Apparently, this metal robot would be my body from now on.
