Inevitably Trapped With The Amorous Husband

Xiulan took a long time trying to gather her thoughts after reading her sister's email.

"Zhao Lingyu? No wonder she's so familiar." Xiulan mutters as she taps her fingers. "I thought she's living overseas?"

She looks at the photos one last time before closing her laptop. "Why did she need to see me?" that's the only thing that is making her curious. 

"That woman should meet my husband and settle their affair. That woman shouldn't include me in her plans." Xiulan gravely thought.

Xiulan took a shower to clear her thoughts and speculations. For now, she should wait for her husband. As much as possible she must stay away from that woman. Women from the past of her husband are not good news.

The next day, Xiulan arrived in her office with most of the employees giggling over the boy group SHADOW.

"Ah, it's their debut today."

"Good morning, madame!" her employees happily greeted her and she curtsy nodded at them as a greeting. 

"Good morning, Boss! Your husband's boy group sure has gotten so famous in just a span of days. It's really incredible that you and your husband have the Midas touch[1]." Secretary Dandan commented. 

"Maybe we are just good in our respective fields." Xiulan humbly said. For Xiulan, as long the person is good or a master of something, they can culvert that skill and make money out of it. 

"Oh! I thought so! By the way, the clients were happy about the email you sent a few days ago. They responded that it's okay to take some time and you were very humble. They said we should prioritize our safety first." Secretary Dandan reported.

"That's good to hear. I was a little nervous since there were a lot of delays already." Xiulan was relieved that her clients were understanding of their matter.

Dandan reported and asked more about the tasks that Xiulan last night. After getting her answers and new tasks, she eventually left Xiulan's office. 

Xiulan's mind went off to working mode and completely forgot about Zhao Lingyu. 

Now Lunchtime and Xiulan were so surprised to hear that her husband is back in the country. She thought that he'll stay longer in Korea.

"Why did he cut his business trip?" Xiulan asked the bodyguard who fetched her.

"I am not sure of the details, madame. But I think the boss just misses you." the bodyguard teased.

Xiulan only smiled at the bodyguard and wait for them to arrive at the restaurant that Hongqi mentioned.

"Why are you here so early?" Xiulan did not even greet her husband when she entered the private room of the restaurant. She coldly frowns at him.

"Love." Hongqi smiled at his wife's coldness and kisses her cheeks. "I just miss you, okay? Is that a bad thing?"

"You. Did you know that your ex-lover came to the c.o.n.d.o.minium, we were staying a few days ago? If you have things to settle, please tell her not to include me." Xiulan was so brutally honest that Hongqi can only dryly laugh. 

"Haha, I heard. Ignore her, she's here to cause trouble." Hongqi said and lead his wife to sit on the chair.

"Why is she here anyway?" Xiulan suddenly asked. She must at least know that woman's agenda.

"I told you, she's here to cause trouble. Don't be friends with her. I wonder too why she was able to ender the country. She's banned from coming back. " Hongqi started endearingly put food on Xiulan's plate. 

"She's what?" Xiulan was so surprised hearing this. She can't believe that her husband banned someone from going back to their country. "What did she do?" she only has limited information from her big sister Nuo Shu. All she knows about the relationship between the two was that they didn't have a good breakup.

"Hehe, let's not talk about that woman. Some scars from the past should not be the topic during lunch. The food might get a bitter taste." Hongqi smiled. 

Xiulan only nodded at her husband's remarks. "Okay. I am not a gossiping auntie anyway. You don't need to tell me. What you need to tell me is that new boy group of yours. My employees are addicted to them." Xiulan sweetly beamed at her husband. There's no need for them to talk about that woman anyway. What's important is the present and the future. She even smoothly changed the topic to something that Hongqi will be enthusiastic to talk about.

"Ah, right! The boy group SHADOW. Have you seen them? ..." Hongqi started talking about the new boy group excitedly and even promised Xiulan to take her to one of the after-parties. A party will be held soon for the group's success. Only a few people were invited and most investors of the group.

The couple happily chatted and ate their food. After having their lunch, the two booked a room in the very same hotel where the restaurant was. Hongqi misses his wife so much that he can't help but be horny for her. 

Xiulan blushed when Hongqi kept saying sweet nothings to her and realized that he planned this. 

The two stayed inside the room for two hours, rolling in the sheets and making out. Hongqi can't get enough of his wife that he even abruptly canceled his 2 PM - 4 PM meeting.

They cuddled and longingly kissed while they lay on the bed. "My love, if that woman dares to do something to you, you must definitely fight back. You can do whatever you want." Hongqi suddenly said while he hugs her so tightly.

Xiulan chuckled at her husband's abusive advice. "I have your bodyguards, they should to the work."

"Still, they are not always there." Hongqi c.a.r.e.s.ses her back. "I and that woman have a bitter past. You know it, right? You just don't know the full details and you don't need to know. Her banishment from the country is legal and she shouldn't be here. So don't worry, she'll be out of the country soon." Hongqi promised.

"Okay. I trust you." Xiulan whispers and hugs him back.

Hongqi tightly hugs his wife. He's one hundred percent sure that Zhao Lingyu will do something bad to his wife. It's not the first time that she did something to his previous partners.
