The Battle against Zod was rather intense from the very beginning at first Superman wanted to stop Zod before taking him into custody but it looks like deep inside his heart he had a competitive spirit, just like anyone he is also comparing himself with Zod.

It's no secret from his birth to this day no one can put a challenge against him unless he wanted to give them a chance but today when he is fighting someone of the same species as himself, it makes him curious can Zod put a challenge, is the stronger than Zod, who is a better man?

Am I stronger than Zod? 

This kind of numerous thoughts made him hesitate to finish or capture Zod the moment the fight began and he never regretted it till Faora joined Zod.

At first, he gets excited from the first pain he feels ever from Zod's punch this excitement made him allow Zod to become stronger from the Sun since he is clear in the difference in their power but this is a rare opportunity for him to feel the excitement of almost equal level in battle.

As the fight continues Superman destroyed a few buildings and many different properties but there is no death casualties so everything is fine and most importantly he is at the advantage or everything is under his control, he will stop Zod the moment he feels threatened by his advocacy but who would have thought the moment Zod learns to control his abilities to the fullest and the real fight began Faora would pop out of nowhere to make everything into a nightmare.

"Faora you are still alive? " asks Zod in excitement and happiness when he saw the person who lands beside him is none other than his second in command.

"I am sorry to fail our people but I will burn everyone on this planet, right before his eyes whom he is protecting before I execute him. "  says Faora with a cold tone as she looks at Superman full of hatred.

"His and his father's plans were unpredictable, to begin with, but now that we can't do anything about it we are still going to have to avenge our people, and maybe we will discover something in that other ship to extract the CodeX from his body. " says Zod in determination as he looks at Superman as if they have already won the battle.

"I don't think you will be able to harm anyone as long as I am alive. " says Superman with determination as he looks at Zod and Faora with caution.

"Then you are mistaken since we are going to destroy everything right before your eyes. " says Zod with confidence before he moved to punch Superman in the face which Superman avoids very easily but Faora who followed Zod lands a would kick in the stomach before he can react which caused him to fly out of the building the next instance.

From that moment the battle which is completely under his control is now is a nightmare to Superman, the perfect tag team that complements the disadvantage of the other and will not allow him to retaliate or counter attack Superman makes him wonder if the Krypton training made his adversaries have this perfect combination.

Forget about helping others it's now becoming hard for him to even save himself from his adversaries why did I need to underestimate my enemies or seek enjoyment for the battle is the only regret, Superman is having at this moment when Zod is stepping on his head while Faora is on his ċhėst to make him unable to fight.

"Did I not tell you Kal. " says Zod with a cruel smile on his face before he turned his head to a certain direction from where Superman can hear Lois crying to get help for him.

"Zod no doesn't do this, please. " for the first time in his life Superman begs someone in despair.

"Now it's too late for regret. " says Zod before his eyes start glowing with red light as he starts charging the heat vision.

"No, it's never late as long as you are alive. " came a reply from the darkness with a calm tone followed by a single blue finger beem which directly strikes Zod in the left eye before he can fire his heat vision.

"Who? Who is there? " cried out Faora in surprise since even she wasn't able to discover the person all this time just how can someone get so close to them with their Super Senses.

"Don't just stand there go get him for me Faora. " cried out Zod in anger when his left eye has turned blind while only blood comes out from the eye socket of that eye.

"But General... " hesitated Faora for a second since she doesn't know who or what has attacked them.

"Are you going to disobey my orders? " asks Zod in anger as he looks at his second in command. .

"No sir I am on it. " says Faora with a serious face before she charges towards the dark structure in the darkness.

"That is why I never like to work under anyone since I would have to take orders. "  says the dark structure before he easily avoids Faora's strike and counters her attack with his own punch in her stomach.

"Cough~ " unlike how you would expect his punch didn't send her flying but only caused her to take a few steps back before coughing up a mouth full of blood while she looks at him in horror.

"Don't give me that look or you will make me blush in shame. " says the man in the dark with a chuckle as he disregards the surprise on Superman, Zod, and Faora.

After the first failure to deliver the attack, Faora who has to retrieve a few steps quickly cleans his lips from the blood before she attacks with heat vision without hesitation.

"Didn't you see how easily I have taken care of your boss earlier? " said the man with a smile before he sends an energy orb towards Faora before she can attack him.
