1 - Called Out

Year 2XX0 AD. Nature has received devastating damage, the climate has grown unpredictable, and severe food storages resulted in scavenging wars: humankind was faced with a crisis of life or death.

In the midst of this, there was a certain corporation which, thanks to their revolutionary scientific technology, started to show signs of a resolution to the food problem. Governments around the world promised complete cooperation to invest, and in a very real sense the world was put under control of that corporation.

[Operations Communique. Hiroto NO. 1, we request you urgently report to the conference room.]

I’m a low-level combatant at one of those so-called “Evil Organizations”. I dress up in our trademark battle-suits, get dispatched to provide relief to allied Kaijin 1 by shooting lots of beams, and get blown away by the ever-late-but-never-absent Hero, each and every time. Honestly, I’m just a humble subordinate.

But today I’ve been called to the conference room by my boss for, what, a spontaneous debrief? I’m pretty bad at doing debriefs. Maybe I messed up without realizing it… As I was thinking, the door opened with a mechanical gatcha, and beside my boss an incredibly important Big Name was standing inside.

Doktor Satow.

Clad in a white coat, he had a narrow, stretched out build. His shockingly blue eyes were piercing, and between his brows grew deep wrinkles. He was the luminary who drove the advancement of the Evil Organization, Humbaba, into what it is today. A peerless researcher.

He was the first in the world to develop androids entirely from live organic materials, which are currently being shipped out to all sorts of manufacturing facilities, nursing homes, war zones 2, etc.

Obviously, being a mere underling, I shouldn’t have anything resembling a point of contact with him.

I was still pulling myself together in front of such an important genius scientist when Doktor Satow told me something unthinkable:

“I want you to seduce 3 our enemy, the Kaijin Akkad.”

Akkad is an android that has repeatedly hindered Humbaba’s campaigns of destruction. Even when Humbaba picks fights with various other organizations, it can be said with full confidence that Akkad will appear on the scene.

Akkad was originally hand-reared by Doktor Satow as the prototype of the “Kaijin” series, androids which are equipped with transformation functionality. In Normal Mode, he already had the strength to be considered the strongest class of android, but thanks to his transformation ability, his fighting ability increases obscenely. In addition, no matter how much he fights, he feels no adverse effects from battle, and he’s even more long-lived than regular humans.

Despite being such an extraordinary guy, he awakened before his programming 4 and managed to run away from the research facility; the R&D Department has been in a mad rush to retrieve him ever since.

Doktor Satow scrambled to create a Kaijin to surpass Akkad, but when he was developing Akkad, the Doktor disregarded profit and invested all of his assets, so it seems he can’t afford to pay the same cost. On top of that, in the middle of Akkad’s development it’s said that a “miracle” occurred, and there are rumors that producing a similar specimen is impossible.

Seems like those rumors were true. To the extent that such unbelievable orders would come down to me, at least.

According to Doktor Satow, who had recently analyzed the details of Akkad’s battle record, when I participated in fights, Akkad’s line of sight skewed 28%, and when I got within a distance of 10 meters, his heartbeat and body temperature both increased. Or so I have been told.

…Couldn’t you be mistaking me for literally anyone else, then?

Hello! This is my first project! I plan on updating at least once a week, probably on Thursdays. Please treat me gently, for I am but a penguin :>

This novel has 26 chapters, but it does have some smut chapters to look forward to. Also, despite how campy it may seem, this boy packs in quite a bit of angst, so please be careful of knives! ^-^
