I'm Divorcing My Tyrant Husband

Chapter 20 - Is this revenge for feeding spicy food

He was Alexander.

"Whatever it is, it won't be the same bomb. Isn't it?"

He smiled and looked around the audience. The audience bowed their heads with a ridiculous glance to ask if they had this courage.

Meanwhile, I was surprised. It was because I never thought he would step up now, who was worse than anyone else in kimchi.

"By His Majesty? First tasting?"

I was so surprised that these words popped out of my mouth.

Alexander came to me one step after another. His lips rose in a line.

Finally, standing right in front of me, he would bowed down a little and meet my eyes level.

"Is there any reason why I can't?"

"I can't say it's a bad reason, but...... I'm afraid the lack of food will ruin your precious taste."

"Suddenly, you look weak. Where'd that confidence go?"

His words made me a little conscious.

Yes, I shouldn't be weak here. If I show my confidence, the audience will feel trust and eat.

I coughed in vain. Then he straightened his back and stretched his neck out toward the ceiling.

"If you do, I'm willing. I prepared it in a buffet style like before, so please help yourself. I'll give you a new plate and cutlery."

Alexander looked down at me like that with eyes bent over the shape of a half moon.

"Yeah, now it's like Robelia I know."

The parlor was all quiet. No one dared to speak. Everyone just watched with tense eyes what Alexander was doing.

Alexander looked down at a bite-sized pancake and fried rice on a plate.

The pancake was minced with washed kimchi, pork, and various vegetables, which stimulated the appetite with the smell of savory rad (pig oil).

Unfortunately, there was no soy sauce in the empire, so it was seasoned with salt. The point was to make use of the crispy edges of the pancakes.

Since there is no rice of the Japonica variety like that eaten in Korea in the Imperial Palace, fried rice was made from the wide variety of Indica.

Instead, Indica rice may have a different taste, so it may suit the tastes of the people here.

The fried rice is chopped with plenty of bacon, which goes well with kimchi, and fried with only the oil from the bacon. Add plenty of vegetables, and gently sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top to melt it.

'I tried my best in my own way, but I don't know if it suits the tastes of the imperialists.'

It's because it's my first challenge.

I watched Alexander's reaction, swallowing saliva like any other audience.

Alexander first put the fried rice in his mouth. Everyone's attention was focused on him.

Alexander, who chewed and swallowed fried rice several times, opened his mouth.

"This is.... very good. It is hardly spicy after being washed in water, and the sourness of the pickled cabbage holds the feeling of bacon. It's a great compatibility. It's good that the cheese holds the texture of the rice scattered."

He seemed surprisingly gifted for food criticism.

People's eyes widened at his realistic description. There were also people who swallowed saliva visibly.

"Well, what about the flour pancakes...?"

Someone couldn't stand the wait and hurried. Alexander cut his pansies with his fork and put it in his mouth.

"It kind of sticks to your teeth, but the edges are very crispy, so it counteracts the feeling. The burnt taste of the edges and the flavor of the rad are savory, It stimulates your appetite. I'm sure the combination of pork and cabbage pickles is great."

At this point, there was nothing more to wait and see.

Isn't it the Emperor's certification? His credibility was higher than anyone else here.

"I wonder if it's not spicy at all."

"The Emperor's Majesty has spoken so far, but what will it taste like....?"

"It's a western style dish that I've never seen before, and I'm curious."

People quarreled and lined up.

And fortunately, Kimchi pancake and fried rice were well-received.

"It's very sturdy with lots of meat!"

"Give me another plate here!"

"When I just ate pickled cabbage, it was so spicy that I couldn't taste anything, but when I eat it like this, I can feel the complex and delicate scent."

Fortunately, the food I prepared decreased at a fast pace, and soon ran out.

'It feels great that someone else will enjoy the dish I prepared. It's been a while since I felt this way.'

Now that I did this, the time has come to dig up this spot. I raised my voice again.

"That's the end of today's salon. Eat as much as you want and follow the courtiers' instructions."

People ate delicious food and went back laughing. It was fortunate.

I instructed the court officials to make a rough arrangement and tried to leave.

But there was a person who was stepped on by my eyes.

Looking around, most of them had already gone back, but only Alexander was standing with his back against the wall. Just like waiting for me.

I wanted to pass by pretending not to know, but this time I couldn't.

Hey, because his contribution was great in making this tasting event a success.

"If you find yourself busier than anyone else in this place, why don't you leave?"

As I approached him, Alexander opened his eyes in a surprised way and soon grinned. Maybe because of the brown skin, the white teeth looked clearer and cleaner.

"I was waiting for you, of course."

'And what about his partner and his business.'

I couldn't figure out what I was worth to him to get me into his work.

Whether this kindness is also a kind of "carrot" he said, he has been much friendlier to me since that night.

"Have you seen the Queen?"

"she left with the maids at the tasting event earlier."

Alexander's expression, who answered that way, wasn't very good.' It was his own event, and he wasn't responsible for all of it, and he wasn't able to tolerate such unresponsible behavior.

'Aisha will be scolded again.'

But it doesn't matter to me. It's not like I have the will to stop it.

"I was grateful earlier. If it wasn't for your Majesty's virtue, the dishes I prepared would have been thrown helplessly."

"That's why I didn't go first. Aren't you good at helping others?"

His words hurt my feelings. What a load of 'carrot' for him to let me know that he's got the whole idea of winning!

Alexander laughed low as if he had noticed that I had realized it.

"It's okay if you don't think that way. I still want to confer you as a collaborator, but the previous thing wasn't necessarily because of that."

"Sure?"

"Well, then. I just said it was delicious because it was delicious. There is no empty word for this."

I could feel his eyes pouring down my face even though I was avoiding his gaze.

'It's burdensome. My face will all burn out.'

"I didn't know you were that talented. Wasn't it the first ingredient I saw today, too?"

"Ah.... Originally, I was interested in cooking research. From before marriage."

I didn't know if he believed my words or not.

He nodded with a poignant expression, then extended one arm to me.

"Let's walk together."

Normally, I would have refused, saying, 'Why me?' but I couldn't help it this time. I grabbed him by the arm.

'It's best not to get help from someone who wants to avoid this, especially someone who's willing to seduce me, but... it's not worth it.'

I was escorted by Alexander and walked as he led me.

I wasn't looking at his face, but I thought about him.

'I have no idea what you're thinking.'

That was really strange.

I've read the original story where he's the main character. Although it was in the middle, he still had some idea of what he was doing under certain circumstances.

'Something like I saw in the original... .. It feels quite different.'

This is what I felt about him when reading the original. 'A nerdy tyrant who only knows Aisha.'

'But I think from the side... It doesn't look so ugly.'

Except for the last time you tried to rub your lips against me.

'Is it because you haven't completely fallen in love with Aisha yet? You're usually relatively fine, but he's the type who doesn't cover anything when falling in love?'

Oh, and it turns out that the original is thoroughly described mainly by Aisha, and Alexander's inner side has never appeared.

'Is that anything related to this...?'

Well, I don't know for now.

Besides, it wasn't really important to me. What would you do if you knew what you were going to do when you were going to be a stranger soon?

As I was thinking about that, the fragrant scent of flowers gently passed by the tip of my nose.

I was in my thoughts, and then I came to my senses.

Looking around, I could see a beautifully arranged flower garden. Purple flowers were blooming into a colony and decorating the flower bed.

'I thought you were going to take me to my room, but you brought me to the garden.'

Alexander glanced this way to see if he noticed my signs of looking around.

He closed his eyes and smiled.

He seemed to not miss an opportunity to entice me.

'He's more intelligent than i thought.'

I didn't think I was this smart in the original.....

"Robellia flowers."

Alexander turned his gaze to the flowerbed and spoke eloquently.

"It's beautiful, but it's known as a poisonous plant. It seems that some foreign countries use it as a medicinal material."

I knew clearly the intention of coming here, but I felt something mean to pretend not to know and act like a flower.

So I stuck to him for no reason.

"I think the purpose of coming here is not to watch flowers with me."

But he didn't lose any leeway.

"If that's the purpose, what would you do? I think it's quite interesting to see the only empress and the flowers here."

"The only empress, you are not referring to the empress who has been neglected for three years, right?"

A little bit of laughter disappeared from Alexander's face at my sarcastic intent.

"Yes, I did. I won't make excuses for you."

After a brief silence, he spit out.

His words left me astonished.

Because I remember his reaction when I first brought out the 'divorce'.

'At that time, Alexander certainly made excuses for barbarian aggression.'

I opened my eyes wide.

'What a different attitude to admit your faults like this?'

I just wanted to scratch my stomach, and I didn't expect him to admit his mistake, because he had been a ruler for a long time and had been extremely proud.

"........ You're not saying that you're sorrowful."

"If you want, you can. It's a sincere apology."

'what?'

I was stunned and stared straight at him.

"It is not the least difficult thing for me to put a lie in my mouth for my purpose of never letting you talk about divorce again and attracting you as my political collaborator."

"You really......."

"But that's not what you want."

Alexander cut me off.

"And I don't want it either."

His face, saying so, looks embarrassingly lonely...

I lost my words again.

'Oh, that's what it looks like....'

There was something I thought about when reading the original.

I said this when I saw Alexander committing a cruel act without batting an eye only for the purpose of Aisha.

'Wow, you're a sociopath, aren't you?'

He didn't seem to give any human affection to anyone other than Aisha. Not only to Robelia, who stood by his side for three years, but even to his family and friends.

He didn't even feel guilty for all the cruel things he did without blinking an eye. Others are just a tool for him to achieve his purpose.

'Why do you remember that now?'

Looking down at me confused, Alexander said.

"Maybe someday."

"Maybe i might feel 'sorry' for you."

What are you talking about.

I didn't understand what you meant by saying that you might feel it later.

"I don't understand what you mean."

It was only then that Alexander's face returned with a bright smile as usual.

"I've said everything. I'm embarrassed, so I hope you forget it."

"When you think about memory, "Oh, forget about it," you forget about it?"

"You don't just go through my words, and you always argue. I like that."

"I don't like your Majesty."
