Tian He took a millisecond to respond and immediately dodged by side-stepping to her left, followed by a back-flip. This was no time to keep all her cards in hand, she'll worry about making up stories about her martial art skills later. The Arts College is after all a school that teaches its students not only to paint, but also to battle with their summons, there was no way she would believe that the original owner wasn't required to take those classes.

"Good reaction speed, but Xiu Ying, you'll have to summon your painting to life in order to defeat my tiger." He was excited to see that Xiu Ying actually had some combat experience, he wanted to see where her limit was.

This idiot half-brother of hers! Couldn't he see that her painting was all the way over there on the table, how was she supposed to pour her 'soul strength' from so far away. Looking at his smug face, she really wanted to go over there and smack it.

"Roar!" Crap, this damn tiger, I'll take care of you sooner or later.

Since she couldn't get to her painting, then she'll just have to summon it from over here. She remembered the feeling that her half-brother gave her when he poured in his soul strength to his painting, and if she wasn't wrong, she needed to somehow 'communicate' with it.

"Pounce." Tian He dodged the tiger's attack once more with another side-step. No time to lose, I'll just it out try first. There was no way her weak fists will be able to fight against this tiger.

She concentrated on focusing on her painting, the life inside of it, the serene looking swan in the center of the lake, the feeling this swan gave her left the deepest impression on her, she knew it was her right choice for this battle.

When Tian He started thinking about that swan in her painting, her body began to emit a golden glow, it started off small then rapidly expanded, glowing bigger and brighter as her concentration reached its max. Noticing this, she gathered this 'feeling' that she built up and aimed her finger at her painting on the table, a streak of golden glow was rapidly released from it and quickly neared the painting.

Incidentally, like the painting could sense Tian He's soul strength, it shook a bit and started to fly up rapidly towards Tian He's streak of golden glow. As soon as they made contact, the golden glow immediately seeped into the painting, making it glow a bit at their point of connection until it rapidly grew and covered the entire painting.

Finally, a light shot out from the painting and in front of her stood the white delicate swan, but this time, its eyes were open, the brilliance inside of them couldn't be hidden, she felt that this white swan was brimming with fighting spirit.

"Haha, good Xiu Ying, now that you've summoned one of the lifeforms in your painting to life, let elder brother educate you on how to battle against your opponent's summons." Cheng Da immediately communicated with his black-striped white tiger and infused a bit of his soul strength inside it, causing its body to emit a red glow, however; just that small amount of soul strength caused its aura to grow stronger, it was now ten times stronger than before he had infused his soul strength in it.

Tian He immediately sensed the changes within the white tiger and couldn't help her expression from turning solemn, she knew that this half-brother of hers had only infused a bit of his soul strength, but just that small amount was enough to kill her ten times over. If she could dodge its attacks before, then now that it was infused with a bit of her half-brother's soul strength, she could only defend, there was no chance to dodge now.

Since she couldn't dodge, then she could only fight with it head-on. She copied her half-brother's movements and concentrated on bringing out her soul strength to infuse it into her swan. A golden glow rapidly gathered at her fingertips and shot towards the swan in front of her.

"Caw!" Feeling invigorated, the white swan stretched out its wings and immediately flew towards its opponent.

"Roar!" The white tiger responded and quickly pounced towards the white swan.

The closer their summons got to each other, the stronger the auras they emitted, it was like they were gathering up their strengths in a single blow to take out its opponent. Tian He was doing her best to maintain connection with her white swan, she knew that dragging out this battle and sneak attacking her half-brother who was the main controller would be the correct choice, but that would also leave her injured and she wouldn't risk such moves unless she was absolutely forced into a corner and wanted to take down her opponent with her.

This battle was supposed to be a learning experience after all, so there will be no winners or losers. Besides, her half-brother has so graciously given his time to teach her, she wouldn't be Tian He if she doesn't take advantage of this.

As her swan got closer to the white tiger, she felt that her control was growing, at first it felt like her swan's movements were awkward, but now that she got use to feeling of connecting with it, the swan's attacked angle looked much more accurate.

Cheng Da spotted how Xiu Ying's swan movements rapidly changed from awkward to swift, and couldn't help but feel astounded, her control over her summons increased at such a breakneck speed. Since that was the case, let's see what else she could do.

Cheng Da lifted his right hand to gather a bit more of his soul strength and rapidly directed it towards his white tiger, causing it to glow so red that even some of its fur turned red.

Tian He saw his movements and also directed more of her soul strength to her swan. The golden glow emitted out from the swan got stronger and covered its body, she could even spot that some of its feathers had turned golden, finally, she controlled it to gather all of its strength to counter its opponent's oncoming attack.

"Bang!" A huge wave of force blew out from the center of their summons' attack, causing even some of the paintings on the walls to rock.

Tian He felt a huge force counter hers once her summoned swan met with the white tiger's attack, she concentrated on staying connected with her swan so that it'll maintain its position because once she loss connection, her swan will also lose it's strength and what waited for her would the white tiger's attack.

Cheng Da's eyes were always on Xiu Ying's movements and seeing that she still had the strength to stand after facing the force of their summons attack against each other, he couldn't help but proudly smile. It turns out that beneath those bright eyes of hers also lies a strong fighting spirit, he was surprised but more so delighted that she possessed such a strong will and good combat skills.

Tian He felt that something was constantly being drained out of her, she guessed that her 'soul strength' was being depleted the longer her swan remained in attacking the tiger. However, since she knew that her half-brother was testing the strength and amount of it, she gave it her best and renewed her concentration to pour in more soul strength into her swan to try to overpower the tiger.

Cheng Da sensed the increase use of soul strength Xiu Ying placed on her swan and also increased his release of soul strength.

At this point, all the paintings were rocking so bad that the pins that held them in place were starting to come loose. Cheng Da's and Tian He's hair and clothes were fluttering due to the force that was constantly being emitted out from their summons' attack. A huge aura of red and gold eventually filled the whole room, with a little more than half of it being red and less than half of it being gold.

Tian He spotted the difference in strength between their summons and gritted her teeth to release more of her soul strength towards the swan, unfortunately, that only caused the tiger's attack to move a bit back, it was already the best she could do but the tiger still had the strength to push forward.

Eventually, her soul strength ran out and she felt the immediate drain of strength in her body. The white swan that felt its loss of support gave out a sad cry before being fiercely ripped apart by the tiger's claws.

"Ah!" Tian He felt a huge force hit her after being exposed to the tiger's might.

She lost her footing and tumbled backwards, the impact was too powerful that her body flew into the air, and if she didn't regain her balance soon, she'll end up crashing against the wall behind her.

Cheng Da immediately stopped his tiger's attack and rushed forward to catch his younger sister in midair. As soon as he was near her, he promptly stretched out his arms to encircle her waist and placed her in his embrace before spinning in reverse to stop the force's momentum.

When they landed on the ground, he felt her fast breathing and weaken body from the earlier fight. His strong arms stayed on her waist and head, supporting her so that her body could remain standing.

Tian He felt so weak that she didn't even have the strength to move her fingers, her whole body was shaking uncontrollably, particularly her legs, she was trying her best to keep herself from falling, but her legs only shook more each time she tried to force herself to use them. Her breath was coming out fast, it wasn't until a moment had passed did she realize that her half-brother was holding her up, his arms that wrapped around her felt strong and warm. Her right cheek that was on his firm c.h.e.s.t could feel his warm breath and strong heartbeat.

Unconsciously, she closed her eyes and relaxed her body, letting him completely take control to support her, she was too tired to use any more strength. This feeling of having all of her strength drained from her body after overusing her soul strength was too much of a strain on this weak body of hers.

She didn't think that trying to force out all of soul strength would lead to this, she needed to work on controlling her soul strength, or else she won't be able to fight against other painters who could also summon their creations to life. However, releasing all of it at once is too much of a dangerous move, she would only use it when she is up against life and death opponent.

Cheng Da's arms wrapped around her tightly and carried her towards her bedroom. The best way to restore her soul strength is to let her rest, however; thanks to this fighting experience she'll learn the importance of control and how to properly use her soul strength during battles, this was his ultimate goal.

"Mmm…" Tian He felt her back land on something soft and couldn't help but open her closed eyes.

Seeing her awake, Cheng Da gently patted her forehead, "Rest Xiu Ying, elder brother will be here."

Feeling the warm hand that was softly soothing her forehead and listening to his low reassuring voice, Tian He couldn't keep her heavy eyelids opened any longer, she obeyed the will of her tired body and closed her eyes, relaxing her whole body until it finally fell into deep slumber.

Cheng Da stayed still on the bedside's chair until he heard her deep breathing. As he looks at her sleeping face, he realized that he didn't know what to do with this half-sister of his, she was an enticement that his heart begged for, but at the same time, she was also a comfort to him.

"Xiu Ying, what is elder brother going to do with?" He softly whispers to her before leaning down his head towards her face, looking at it for a brief moment, he steels himself and connects his mouth gently together with those soft light red lips of hers, he has wanted to taste these from the moment his eyes laid upon them today.

The moment his lips touch her delicate ones, he felt a fire like no other ignite within him, it felt like it was burning him from within, her lips were just too sweet and pleasurable, his mouth wanted to lick it whole, just pecking it did nothing to douse the raging fire within him.

He wanted to taste a bit more of her sweetness, so his tongue naturally stretched out and started to sweep across her upper lips, l.i.c.k.i.n.g it gently at first, but soon he found out that the more he licked, the more his craving was unsatiated, this was nowhere near enough to satisfy his greed.

Unconsciously, his gaze began to deepen, and an urge to suck in more of its sweetness began to take over him. His hands reached out towards her chin to open her mouth, he saw that her small red tongue was naughtily tempting him inside, beckoning for his taste, he obediently obeyed their summons and stretched out his big warm tongue to entangle with hers. The moment their tongues touched, he felt like his heart was electrocuted, his tongue unconsciously moved faster, almost wanting to swallow her tongue whole, his mouth immediately moved in and completely plastered itself onto hers.

"Mmmm."

The warm sweet juiciness of her mouth was beginning to overwhelm him, his heart was going to drown him alive by the constant pleasant feeling her mouth was giving him, and since she was asleep, her tongue had no strength to escape his hot pursuit, it drove him to naturally give in to his d.e.s.i.r.es to lick and suck as much as he pleased.

The longer he drowned himself in her sweetness, the more the fire within him grew, he felt like he couldn't control himself, his burning throat and body was begging him to quench its thirst. His other hand began to reach out towards her clothes, unbuttoning it with an easy flick of his strong fingers, his hands that felt the soft touch of her neck made his heart madly pound, the warm soft touch of it was so fascinating and pleasant that it nearly drove him insane.

His mouth removed itself from hers, a sliver of saliva stretched out between their lips and he licked it off enticingly while he looked at her pale white translucent neck, he noticed it was a bit red due to his earlier touch. However, it did nothing to curb his d.e.s.i.r.e, the combination of the redness and her pale white neck created a scene so gorgeous that it threatened him to take a bite to see if it'll satisfy his growing d.e.s.i.r.e.

His thoughts became entirely occupied with only how delectable and tasty the delicate skin of her neck looked, his gaze turned deeper and his mouth neared her neck, he wanted to see how it felt if his tongue were to glide onto its softness. Will it taste as delicious as the sweetness of her mouth?

"Lick."

When his tongue finally came into contact with her soft smooth neck, it was more delicious than he imagined. He liked how his tongue was causing her neck to turn even more red, it looks like his tongue was rougher than he thought. Soon, he felt like just l.i.c.k.i.n.g it was not enough, a strong d.e.s.i.r.e to bite into her neck with his teeth and mark her overcame him, he wanted her to be his, she had to be his. He opened his mouth and bit down hard on the spot he licked over and over earlier, this part of her was his now .

Unnoticeably, hidden deep within his eyes, dark flames surged, it danced and threatened to tear the seal that imprisoned it, it wanted to come out and take over Cheng Da's body, it seemed that with each touch and lick of her body, the seal would weaken little by little, the energy provided by her soul was slowly being s.u.c.k.e.d away. However, it seemed like the dark flames were sentient and stopped its actions once it realized that taking any more would be detrimental to her. It slowly receded back into its depths and waited until next time to devour her soul energy.

Drops of blood was sipping out from her neck when Cheng Da moved his teeth away from her neck, deep teeth marks could be seen imprinted on the side of her beautiful pale white neck, it contrasted wonderfully with the rest of her pale white skin. His hands reached out to touch it, feeling the dark red bruise that was already forming from his earlier bite, he smiled in contentment that he finally marked her.

Looking at her disheveled self from his earlier actions, he couldn't help but sigh in helplessness. The state she was in right now was too much of an attraction to him, her messy hair, swollen lips, and exposed pale white neck, all of it did nothing to curb his d.e.s.i.r.e that was already passionate and ready to eat her whole. However, this was the farthest he was going to let himself go, he wanted not just her body but her heart as well, he wanted her to look at him with the same d.e.s.i.r.e that he looked at her with, when that happened, he will take her.

After he fixed her clothing and wiped off the traces of his earlier d.e.s.i.r.e, except for the teeth marks, he made sure that she looked like he was never here. As long as he remembers this experience, it will be enough to drive him away from his yearning for a while, but hopefully, she wouldn't let him wait too long.

He thought that his control over himself was excellent, but after meeting her today, he realized just how wrong he was, just a touch and lick was enough to drive his whole body and heart into p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e.

"Please hurry and accept me Xiu Ying, or else I don't know what I might do." He pleads softly to her sleeping self before reluctantly moving his gaze away from her and gets up to exit her bedroom.

Feeling extremely annoyed with what happened back in Wang's clan Dinning hall, Zhang Li starts complaining to her parents, "Father, since the proposal was rejected by Clan Leader Wang, we should just accept Qi Family's proposal and cooperate with them instead."

Zhang Li hated the fact their family wasn't strong enough to contend against the Wang clan, she needed her status to fit his or else it'll be hard to marry Cheng Da, she knew that many women who shared similar statues as she were also eyeing the position as the Madam of the Wang clan.

Shi family leader held his head with his hands in contemplation, he knew that accepting the Qi clan's proposal could bring their family to newer heights, but they were also strict with their obedience, once he aligned with the Qi clan, there was no way out. His family will forever be under the rule of Qi clan.

He was torn between the choice of becoming a minor territory owner under the Qi clan's rule or staying an independent family within the controls of the Wang clan.

"Husband, I agree with what Li'er is saying, even if our proposal was accepted by the Wang clan leader, we would have only gained a small foothold against the other family clans in this territory, it isn't the same with becoming the owner of a minor territory." Madam Shi walked over to sit beside her husband and continued her speech.

"Even if it is under the Qi clan's rule, it's not necessarily a bad idea, think about it, with the Qi clan that rules over one of the major territories as our backing, we could stand head to head with the other major territory owners, who would dare go against us?"

Madam Shi looked at her husband that she followed for several years, although their family was powerful, it could never rival the power of a clan that ruled over a territory, even the minor territory owners can easily crush them. She didn't want to remain so weak that they couldn't control their own futures, and since such a great proposal came to their Shi clan, this was the best chance to change and gain more power.

Listening to his family's thoughts, Clan Leader Shi finally lifted up his head from his hands and made his decision, since their proposal to cooperate with Wang clan has fallen apart, the other clan leaders in the territory should soon receive news of it, they would never forgive him for trying to gain a foothold against them. If the proposal went through, they wouldn't dare touch him, but now that it didn't, his only choice was to pledge allegiance to the Qi clan.

"Guard Ji, summon the ambassador from Qi clan, tell him that the Shi clan will accept their proposal." A guard that was stationed besides the Shi clan leader saluted politely towards him before rushing out to meet with the Qi clan's ambassador.

Zhang Li was ecstatic that her father finally agreed, with the backing of Qi clan, she could finally stand proud in front of Cheng Da and deter all the other ladies that wanted to fight against her for him. Thinking about her happy future, she couldn't help but smile joyfully.

Madam Shi also smiled in contentment with her husband's decision.

The mother and daughter pair respectfully withdrew from the Shi Clan's study room to let the Shi Clan Leader go over the details before meeting up with Qi clan's ambassador.

When the Shi clan leader saw his loved ones leave the room, he let out a breath in helplessness.

"Let's hope that this decision of mine is correct." Shi Clan Leader massaged his forehead before looking over the proposal's details that the Qi clan's ambassador gave him a few days ago.

Suddenly, his expression turned stern and his vision serious, "Since I have already made my decision, I'll have to make sure that the Qi clan sticks to their offer, or else what await us is only a road with no end."

Tian He was having a bizarre dream.

At first, it was pleasant dream of her previous mission world, she was having fun dancing and singing with her friend, Yu Yan, in her courtyard's garden, but suddenly, the scenery around her changed, and she appeared inside her bedroom. When she looked around her, she spotted that shameless 2nd Imperial Prince standing in front of her.

She was about to admonish him for interrupting her fun time with Yu Yan but was stopped when she saw dark black flames abruptly appear out of nowhere, it grew and surrounded them in a circle, caging them inside.

"What is this?" Tian He has never seen such dark looking flames before.

When her hands went near the flames, she was surprised that they didn't feel hot like normal flames, it felt like she was touching warm air instead. However, when she tried to move out of the ring of flames, she was prevented by a strong rebounding force, and her body couldn't help but be knocked backwards. After failing a couple of times, she gave up trying to leave the dark flames' ring and looked at the person inside the ring of flames with her.

She realized that he didn't move at all this whole time, he just stood there watching her. She started to get ready to call out his title but was stopped when she suddenly saw his figure rush towards her, no, it was more like he flew towards her, and before she knew it, his figure was directly in front of her.

When she saw his face up close, she realized he didn't have any facial expression, he looked almost emotionless, however; upon a closer look, she thought she saw a hint of sadness, she couldn't understand how she knew, but somehow, she just felt that it looked that way.

But why was he sad?

"Tian He." 2nd Imperial Prince said her name with longing.

He gazed at her in front of him, he didn't know what to feel seeing her here.

However, since she was here, then it could only mean that his other soul part has found her and started taking her soul energy to supplement his dark flames' power. His other soul parts and him all originate from the same source, so he knew that they would all eventually meet up with her, he could only hope that his soul parts would treat her well.

She heard him say her name in a low voice, but it sounded a bit different from the one in her memory, it gave her the impression that something was mixed into it.

Before she could ask if he knew why there were dark flames in her bedroom, he spoke again.

"Tian He, you must be careful in your missions, I cannot tell you anything more but just know that we'll always be watching over you." 2nd Imperial Prince reached out his hands to touch her face before his figure started turning blurry and eventually disappeared along with the dark flames, leaving only his last words that echoed into the surroundings.

Tian He was too astounded to speak, how did he know about her missions? What did he mean by 'we' will always watch over you? Who is the 'we' that he's referring to?

She was too confused to take in everything all at once, but she knew that she needed to find out more.

"Wait, 2nd Imperial Prince!" Tian He called out as loud as she could, she anxiously kept calling and calling him but there was always no answer, and just when she was about to try another time, she felt her bedroom scenery change and then, she saw no more.
