Ye Zhi didn’t know that she almost encountered Nie Jiqing. After she came out of the restaurant, she quickly returned to the holiday villa.

Ye Zhi walked through the lawn and discovered that there was an outdoor swimming pool in the corner of the courtyard.

When Ye Zhi pushed the door open, she first saw Gu Ren sitting on the sofa, then she noticed the gift bags stacked next to Gu Ren.

Gu Ren was wearing a white shirt. Maybe, because he had moved a lot, his sleeves were creased and appeared a bit messy. However, it especially reduced some of Gu Ren’s cold temperament, making him feel more warm and approachable.

Yi Zhi changed her shoes at the entrance and sat opposite Gu Ren. She saw the bags on the ground neatly arranged and then looked up to him.

“Haven’t you opened the present yet?”

Gu Ren guessed Ye Zhi’s intention. He leaned forward with a fancy smile on his lips, “Waiting for you.”

As soon as the words fell, a smile bloomed on Ye Zhi’s face. She put down her bag on the sofa and began to introduce every gift she bought.

Ye Zhi first took out the shirt she re-purchased from Fifth Avenue, “New York Fashion Week will be over on Monday, so I helped you buy a new shirt.

“You cannot use the clothes I bought before but I bought a better one. Do you think it is more suitable for you?”

Ye Zhi held the shirt in her hand, stood up from the sofa and unfolded it in front of Gu Ren. After getting Gu Ren’s affirmation, she folded the shirt and began to introduce other gifts.

“And this suit, you can wear it when you attend some event.”

“This watch is a new model. You can wear it whenever you want.”

Ye Zhi’s eyes were very good. Judging from the clothes and accessories she chose, she chose them carefully according to Gu Ren’s style.

Gu Ren, of course, could see that Ye Zhi spent a lot of thought, time and effort in choosing those gifts.

Gu Ren also found that Ye Zhi had only bought things for him; just as before, she didn’t buy anything for herself.

Gu Ren didn’t know how to respond. He hoped that Ye Zhi wouldn’t spend money just on him, but on herself too.

However, as he gave more thought on the matter, he felt that it was better this way. If Ye Zhi really spent his money on herself, he would definitely receive a lot of IOU notes.

Gu Ren thought about it and his expression became somewhat bitter. Ye Zhi didn’t notice Gu Ren’s strangeness at all and still enthusiastically introduced the gifts.

When Ye Zhi’s voice entered Gu Ren’s ear, Gu Ren turned back to look at her. When he spoke again, his voice had a bit of gentleness.

“I like everything you buy.”

When Ye Zhi heard Gu Ren’s voice filled with gentleness, she was stunned for a few seconds and then a broad smile appeared on her face.

Ye Zhi found that she actually had discovered another kind of enjoyment in spending money. That was, after buying things, she enjoyed being complimented by Gu Ren. It felt especially fulfilling.

Ye Zhi suddenly remembered something and placed a bag beside her feet, “I wore this shirt during New York Fashion Week. Don’t confuse it with the others.”

Gu Ren’s eyes fell on the separated bag. His eyes flashed for a moment and he suddenly said, “Just put them together.”

Ye Zhi thought that Gu Ren didn’t understand so she explained it to him again, “You can’t use what I’ve worn.”

This time, Gu Ren’s voice sounded a little playful as he asked Ye Zhi.

“Are you still going to wear this shirt?”
