Ye Zhi suddenly felt as if she was in another world. Just like a pleasant nap in the warm and cozy afternoon, the atmosphere felt refreshing.

When they were nearing the villa, the driver reminded Ye Zhi, “Young madam, the villa of Gu family is ahead.”

Ye Zhi came to her senses and her gaze suddenly landed on a Mexican restaurant not far away.

Ye Zhi instructed, “You should first take the luggage and head back. I will go home after having lunch.”

Ye Zhi thought that Gu Ren should have had his lunch by this time so she simply decided to eat outside before going home.

Ye Zhi got off the golf cart and entered the Mexican restaurant. In fact, Ye Zhi had already eaten snacks on the plane and was not very hungry. She just wanted to look around.

Presently, there were not too many people in the restaurant. Ye Zhi chose to sit on the table next to a window and turned her head slightly to see the clean and quiet street outside.

Ye Zhi ordered a Carnitas and a raspberry salad with cream soup.

After her order was taken, Ye Zhi patiently sat and waited. There were not many people around and she was just a minor celebrity, so there wouldn’t be a problem if she relaxed her guard a bit. She took off her sunglasses and looked out the window with her chin up.

As expected, no one recognized Ye Zhi. She was on this island, far away from the distractions and muddy waters of the entertainment circle. Ye Zhi took a deep breath and sighed. She rarely had moments of tranquility.

At the same time, Sheng Man’s adoptive mother Nie Jiqing also came to this island.

Previously, Nie Jiqing’s husband specially bought her a ticket to California in order to let her relax.Her husband was going to accompany her originally,but something came up so he could only cancel the trip with regret.

Nie Jiqing asked her husband to go to work and went to this quiet island alone, she didn’t even let her assistant tag along. She just wanted to be alone for a while.

Ye Zhi was oblivious to all of this. When Nie Jiqing walked into this street, the dishes that Ye Zhi had ordered for had already been served.

Ye Zhi lowered her head and tasted every dish with a small bite. She was not hungry and could not eat so many dishes at all. She even thought if Gu Ren was here now, she could share it with him.

However, no matter how safe it seemed from the grasp of the media, Ye Zhi still did not dare to blatantly show up with Gu Ren during daylight. It was better to be cautious than to deal with troubles later on. 

At the thought of Gu Ren, Ye Zhi couldn’t help but take out her mobile phone and send a message to him.

Gu Ren was sitting in the living room. His back was leaning on the sofa while his head was rested, slightly looking upwards.  A shadow of his slender figure was projected on the sofa.

At this moment, Gu Ren’s eyes were closed, showing a trace of fatigue. Unlike Ye Zhi, Gu Ren had a busy schedule. Only these two days were considered free.

Gu Ren was all alone in the villa. It was so uncomfortably quiet that the driver immediately left after dropping off the luggage.

The next second, Gu Ren’s mobile phone vibrated a few times breaking the still silence of this moment.

Gu Ren immediately opened his eyes and glanced at the mobile phone. He leaned over to reach the mobile phone on the table. When he slid the screen open and saw Ye Zhi’s message, his eyebrows furrowed.
