Chapter 57: too excited to read them all at once

"My father started teaching those skills when I was nine years old. So young until I master it when I was twelve years old, but sadly he was gone and never heard of any news about my father, and my mother told me he died in an accident. But I do not believe it! How could he have an accident?" Lyricie's memory of his father is quite blurry now and she has no pictures of him anywhere, so it's hard to remember clearly in her age of twenty-three.

"That's... too early." Zier said. Since young, she had been taught in such an early age that young girls should play with dolls. He also cannot imagine a nine year old girl was studying about computers. It is impossible but there is no impossible when it comes to her.

Where is her weakness? Why is she good at everything? Almost...

Why do I felt that she is different every time I talk to her? Why can't i find any flaw from her?

"Oh right. Book Store. Let's go to Sunshine National Bookstore." She can't wait to read the new update stories. "31 days in the bloody village" and "Hate life, change it, go back, Kaylee".

Zier nodded and arrived. He parked the car in the parking lot and she hop to get out the car.

"I'll be right back." She hurriedly said and run.

Zier stare her back like he was thinking something deep until he lost sight of her, he pick up his phone and dial some numbers.

She roam around the store to find the books she is looking for. While she is still searching she picks most of the books that catches her interest especially if the title is eye-catching and the Synopsis. Without any hesitation, she put it in to her cart.

She should buy only two books however from looks of it, she bought plenty and some of them are a new release in a new series.

She went out the store and happily hums a song while she walks toward him.

When she spotted Zier leaning on his car, she frowns.

'Why does it have to be perfect whenever he leans or make that emotionless cold look?' She asked herself.

She sighs and put the books at the back seat. She sits in the right side in the front besides him and gets a book to read. "Let's go." She said not looking at him.

'I have to avoid looking at his face no matter what. I do not like blushing myself.' Her thoughts.

Zier saw her frowning and her face slightly red. His gaze land on the book she holds and he says. "You really love reading books."

She nodded. She looks at him with her eyes glowing saying 'to excited to read them all at one' and hiding the fact that she is embarrassed on the way she thinks a while ago that it makes her face red.

She put her face in the book not minding him anymore.

Zier made a small chuckle as he lean over to her. He put his hand on her forehead.

"Why is your face red? You don't even have a fever." He said.

Lyricie put down the book and put away his hands, she says "Drive!"

She faces the window while pouting. She can't control her emotion now. What did he do to me? She thought.

He chuckled and starts driving. Lyricie start to read non-stop until she senses something wrong from her side mirror. She wanted to say something to Zier but she can't let her identity expose no matter what. She can't fully trust him for now.

Especially that I has plenty of suspicion in your identity, Zier.

She yawns and put down the book in her hands as she looks at the side mirror.

Zier sensed it and she hold her hand tightly.

'The days I spent outside without guards, you are attacking now?! I am with my wife!!! Dammit! What will happen to me if she knows my identity as a mafia?! Will she be scared?! No!' Zier thoughts.

He looks at her pitifully. He didn't know what to do. He felt scared.

"Someone is following us. I will drive very fast and hold tight." He said and let go of her hand and start driving faster --very seriously.

She looks at him confused but deep in her heart her guesses was right. She knows every shortcut in here and most of them are only for the leader of underworld knows this shortcut... He is one of them... Her guesses was right.... He has connection from there-- same as her.

It is night time and it's also kind of her fault. She spends most of her times checking books that catches her interest, not minding the time and Zier, who is patiently waiting inside the car.

She wants do to something. However...

She can't do anything because it may expose her identity to him. This is not the right time yet. So she endures not to do anything to act like she is confuse. In reality she is really confuse but the way her body act like she was confuse on what's happening.

"Call Gray immediately." Zier said still focus on driving the car faster. She came back to her senses and nodded.

[Boss, this is Gray. Wh-]She immediately give the phone to him.

"Gray. Ha New Restaurant. ASAP! They trailed us!"

[Zier?! Okay, be there in five minutes.]He hangs up.

"H-hey... Who is trailing us?!" She nervously asked. She didn't get any answers but a quick kiss from him.

They saw a black car parked right in the middle of the road and it makes Zier slow down. "I am really right. It's him." He stopped the car.

"Who's him? What's going on? Are we going to die?!" She panicked but not because of what's happening, she panic because she can't help and expose her identity.

She also knows that man!!! Who says she didn't know? Ha!

"No. No. Lyricie. Honey. Wifey. It's okay. I am here. We are fine. Hide at the back and never look outside and keep hiding. I will be right back." He kisses her forehead and her lips. She nodded and goes to at the back seat to hide carefully. He open the box and he get his two Ed Brown Special Forces Carry I/II handgun. He put one at his back and one at his pocket secretly not letting his wife know.

However, she knew it all along that there is a gun here at this car and she knew that she already bring out the gun. Of course, she heard the noise coming from the gun when he personally put the bullets into the gun. She is not surprise at all. She already knew the truth all along after what happened that day.

She found some of his secrets and has even more deeper suspicions at him.
