Lucius's face was not good

Cryptic wording and mad ramblings were not a good sign the fact that it came from an ancient dragon, one of the most intelligent creatures on the planet  and this left Lucius feeling instinctively  unsettled.

With this feeling Lucius couldn't help but call out

"Hey! I know you were here watching all this! Tell me straight up. Does this have anything to do with you"

God: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lucius' mouth twitched.

'Fuck! So you're sending emoticons now! I'm being serious, this isn't the time for games.'

The ridiculous god could clearly sense that Lucius was pretty concerned

[I really have no clue what the old dragon is talking about. Like I said before, I just right the story.  ]

Lucius breathed a sigh of relief

[Is there a reason for something to go crazy? Maybe it failed on its own and went mad with despair or maybe the boom it was talking about was cursed? I really don't know these details but don't you think it might be interesting to investigate?]

After reading the god's  information Lucius finally calmed down.

There was no need for this god to lie to him so Lucius didn't suspect that the god was up to any foul play. But the last words of the god still reminded Lucius of one thing.

No matter how helpful or  kind this god seemed, at the end of the day, this was all for its own entertainment, if Lucius's  life was at risk it wouldn't matter as long as he was still entertained.

There was no way he could take things as serious as Lucius who had his own life on the line.

It wants to help Lucius but at the end of the day it is still just for entertainment.

Lucius had gotten the answer form the god that sent him into this world but he was still a little frustrated

He felt like there was still something.

Something that was itching and scratching at the back of his mind that made him feel unsettled.

Lucius eventually just ignored it. There would be doing himself no favour in wrapping himself up in the ramblings of the dragon

And even if it was true.

Lucius definitely didn't want to run into anything that could drive a creature as strong as a dragon half insane.

As for the strange feeling, Lucius just chalked it up to the memories of the dragon soul that had fused with him that contained the dragon's madness. If that was the case it was inevitable that he would feel strange when this topic was brought up , which was all the more reason to ignore this and put the entire thing behind him.

As Lucius put the book away, Veronica walked up to his side.

"Lucius, are you ok?"

It was Veronica's words that truly snapped Lucius out of all these thoughts.

It seemed like his concern was so obvious that even Veronica had noticed it.

Shaking the thoughts out of his head for good, Lucius turns his head to Veronica and smiled.

"I'm good Veronica, thanks for asking."

After saying this and clearing up the underground hole Lucius and Veronica quickly got out and began their journey back home.

...

The journey back home was long yet uneventful and so by the time Lucius and Veronica had returned to the Academy the sun was already beginning to set.

Tired after the entire day's ordeal, Lucius and Veronica saw each other off one last time before each heading towards their room.

Lucius walked to his room and opened the door.

The second he opened the door,he felt another presence in his room but he didn't panic, at this point there was only one person it could be.

"Young Leader! Fortunately I didn't mistake your trust and the mission was carried out successfully. I'm glad to see that you are safe."

Hearing this, Lucius smiled

"Thanks Camilla , I'm also glad to see that you are-"

Before Lucius could finish his words he suddenly froze, that's because when he looked again he could see that Camilla's arm was wrapped in bandage clearly covering up a wound. She had been subtly trying to hide it before that's why Lucius only noticed now.

Looking at this, Lucius' face was not good.

"I'm sorry Camilla. Because of me, you got hurt again. I used you for my own benefit which is really quite selfish.

I'm sorry Camilla

Sorry ? Why should you be sorry?  It is the duty of the assistant to help the leader of the Revolutionary army no matter what it is. Even if you asked me to sacrifice my life I would-"

Before Camilla could finish her sentence Lucius just flicked her head

"Ow!"

"Silly girl, when did I say anything about sacrificing your life. Throwing your life away would be the last thing I want you to do, you hear me?"

Sigh! If I was better off I would definitely reward you with one fo the magic treasures we have in the armour but those old farts just won't let up!

Thinking about the ridiculousness he faced when he tried moving the revolutionary army for himself a few days ago made Lucius's blood boil.

'That damn bastard! He better not let Lucius catch him or he would really let him know what a revolutionary beating was!

Looking back towards Camilla, Lucius just sighed.

Sigh! Unfortunately, I can't reward you right now.

Seeing Lucius's regret, Camilla just shook her head.

Being by your side is its own reward.

As Lucius heard this, his face turned into a complicated expression, but it wasn't long before his expression turned a little devious

"On second thought, maybe I do have a reward for you..."

As Lucius said this, He carefully wrapped his arm around Camilla's waist, pulling her soft body into his embrace

"Y-Young leader" Stuttered Camilla, her face now beet red

"Now don't be shy, it's your reward, you earned it"

  "Mmh.."

Camilla let off a soft moan as the two bodies fell into the bed leading to another hectic and chaotic night
