Despite her humble attitude, unlike him, that was a mere peasant, Alice was still the daughter of a Baron. In addition, her beautiful looks and friendly and innocent nature made it so it wasn't really hard for her to make friends.

Camilla naturally wasn't the type to make friends, but after being dragged around by Alice, she ended up hanging out with them by affiliation.

Seeing them like this, Lucius didn't want to bother them and just walked up to his seat.

It was after he did this that he saw the group of girls heading out. It seemed like they were going on a walk or something.

Lucius could see Camilla look over towards him with a look of worry.

Since the duel yesterday, Camilla had been extremely paranoid about leaving him alone in Sanctuary, but Lucius didn't share the same worry.

How dangerous could it really be?

Besides, they were in a classroom so Lucius did not believe anything dangerous would happen and just smiled at Camilla, indicating she was free to go and didn't have to worry so much.

As Lucius walked over to his seat, he could see that Nina was still buried in a book.

Curious, Lucius leaned over and asked.

"So, what are you reading?"

"Kyah!"

Nina was so immersed in her own world that Lucius's voice was a complete jump scare for her.

"Ah L-Lucius... hello."

Seeing Nina's appearance, Lucius just scratched his head in embarrassment

"Am I really that scary?"

"N-no I'm just not used to speaking to strangers so.."

Hearing this,  Lucius smiled.

"Well, if you're not good at something, you just need to practise on it. You can speak to me anytime you need to practise."

"R-really? w- won't that make me a bother for you?"

Hearing this, Lucius held his chin, pretending to be in deep thought.

"Hmmm… You're right, this is a problem."

As Lucius said this,  a faint, unperceivable sense of sadness flashed across Nina's eyes before disappearing.

"Well, I guess we need to be friends then," said Lucius confidently

Faced with someone as introverted as Nina, the easiest way to get closer to her was to be the stupidly extroverted type.

This is exactly what the protagonist was, and it made sense in a way.

If he acted normally with how introverted Nina was, she wouldn't even put in any effort into maintaining any conversation, meaning that it would be incredibly hard to even speak with her, much less farm love points.

Although this would mean you would have to hard carry most conversations and interactions with her, it was better than nothing.

"F-friends" muttered Nina

"Are you sure it's okay?"

"Well, I'm fine with it. And if we're friends, then it means I can help you practise your conversational skills."

"But won't that make me a bother then?"

"That's why we had to be friends. Only friends can bother and ask someone for help without any costs. So it's official, we're friends."

As Lucius said this, he heard a notification go off in his head

Ding! +20 LP

Lucius could see Nina with her head down in her book with a smile visible on her face

"Hehe! Friend, I made my first friend!"

Seeing the girl like this, even though Lucius came with impure intentions, he actually felt sad for her.

It was one thing to be a loner by choice but she clearly wanted to make friends but she just didn't have the ability

In that moment Lucius decided, whether it was to farm love points or not, he would help her clear the social anxiety and fear and help her make a few other friends in the process.

Such a cute girl had to be protected!

As Lucius was speaking, he heard a sound and as he looked over, he could see That Xander walked in with his group of friends, but surprisingly, unlike the doom and gloom he showed yesterday. Xander seemed to be surprisingly happy this time.

"What happened to this guy?"

"You don't know?" asked Nina surprised

"Huh, you know something?"

Faced with Lucius's gaze, Nina quickly turned back into her shy self

"N-no I just thought that since you and Xander were enemies, you'd pay attention to information about him?"

"Enemies? Me? With that clown?"

Lucius thought about it and then realised that Nina wasn't all that wrong with such a high profile duel on the first day

He was too focused on se- cough! no, earning Love Points.

"So What happened?" Asked Lucius.

"Whilst I was still in the library, I heard that Xander was involved in another duel. He heard two students mocking him for losing to you a mere commoner and challenged not one but two of them to a duel and completely obliterated them."

Lucius didn't need to hear the rest, he already understood what happened.

Those two idiots that Xander had heard not only restored his pride, but even his reputation grew more than before he was defeated.

Lucius just shook his head at the thought of these two idiots.

Two people not even talented enough to enter the hero class looked down on Xander?

What a joke?

Although Lucius embarrassed Xander, it was not a fair fight in the slightest, in a way, it couldn't even be considered a fight, it was more like a trap.

If he truly fought Xander he would be blasted to high heaven.

The talent [Storm Caller] was no joke!

It was something to be feared even amongst the already powerful golden rank talents.

If Xander wasn't so fucking stupid and annoying, Lucius would never make enemies with this guy.

As Lucius looked at the group, Xander turned around, suddenly feeling Lucius's gaze, and as he did so, a look of surprise appeared on his face before it turned into a cruel and smug smile.

'So annoying.' sighed Lucius

It seemed like a problem was coming his way.

With his restored pride also came his restored confidence and arrogance.
