She didn't care to chastise Lucius because even though he seemed a little confident she didn't believe he had the courage to look too long.

Besides, even if he did, her fiancé was here and she was confident that if he didn't correct himself he would definitely make sure Lucius had a 'good time'

Just as Veronica had expected, Lucius's gaze only lingered on her for a short while before he moved on

But even if it wasn't long, Xander had also noticed Lucius's lingering gaze and was rightfully annoyed.

By this point, Xander couldn't maintain his indifferent facade not anymore no matter how hard he tried.

Not caring about any rules or etiquette he stepped out in front of Lucius blocking his path.

He did not want to let Lucius off the hook so easily so narrowed his eyes as he spoke out.

"You seem to be a swordsman, why don't we have a little sword duel? Surely you won't run away from this. Even if you are a commoner with no reputation, surely you have some pride."

But Lucius just sneered.

Pride? How did this have anything to do with pride?

Lucius didn't have a deep arrogance Like Xander. He wouldn't get offended over something like this and as such it was impossible to drag him into a fight that he didn't want to get into.

But seeing that Lucius was still not agreeing, Xander didn't want to let him go.

"Friend, I think it's best that you agree. At least you should do it while I'm still asking nicely."

As Xander spoke green sparks of wind and lightning started to crackle across his skin.

Seeing this, Lucius tightened on his hand around his training sword.

He was avoiding a fight with Xander because he knew he simply couldn't win but that didn't mean he was a coward.

If Xander made a move, Lucius wouldn't hesitate to swing

With the boost of the Amulet of the high king his stats had reached the threshold of 3rd class. If a fight was to break out he would probably lose but at this distance, he was confident to make a spell caster like Xander bear a substantial cost.

The air seemed to grow tense as even the lackeys around Xander didn't dare speak.

They knew that they should stop Xander from breaking the rules but they didn't dare speak out and earn his annoyance right now

Just as the balance seemed like the situation was about to crack, a sound was heard to the side as the doors to the gym swung open

"Lucius we've been waiting for you all day so we decided to come and see…"

Alice didn't even get to finish her sentence before she was shocked speechless by the scene in front of her.

She could see two figures glaring at each other.

One wrapped in azure lighting and the other clutching a wooden sword with burning crimson eyes.

"What's going on here?"

A cold voice sounded out that made everyone feel a chill from the bottom of their hearts.

Xander didn't know when, but at some point a cold faced beauty had emerged from his side brandishing a set of flashing daggers.

Xander's eyes shook with shock but he managed to contain his surprise and prevent it from showing on his face.

"Humph! You're lucky today."

As he said that Xander didn't have the face to stay around anymore and walked out.

As the leader of the group, if he couldn't stay his lackeys would also have to follow.

Although as his fiancé she wasn't a complete lackey. Due to the situation of both their families Veronica could still be considered his follower so she also left.

Seeing the group leave the gym l, Lucius finally breathed a sigh of relief but he didn't get to rest before Camilla's concerned voice appeared.

"Young Leader what's going on? I left you alone for a few hours and a terrible incident almost happened. This is all a result of my own negligence, I will not leave your side so easily again."

Hearing this Lucius quickly got those thoughts out of Camilla's head.

Camilla, there's no need to panic so much the situation is not so serious.

It was just a small confrontation between classmates. Things are not so bad that I was truly at risk. Even if Xander is arrogant he won't break the rules of the Academy too much, at most it will be some flesh wounds that take a bit longer to heal. He wouldn't dare leave any long lasting injuries on me. He's not a heroic class talent, just a golden grade one. His Count rank Family wouldn't be able to defend him if he breaks the rules of the academy ."

Although Camilla wasn't wholly convinced, it still was enough to calm her down.

….

After the Xanders group left, they could be seen walking through the hallways of The Sanctuary, it was just that contrary to the scene of the light hearted happiness from before the aura around the group was quite heavy. In this current situation nobody dared to speak up.

Eventually, it was Xander who broke the silence.

"So, what did you think about that guy?"

Seeing the chance to please the boss again, the student who had spoken up against Lucius last time also wanted to again seize the opportunity.

"Humph!" Said the young man

"He's just an arrogant commoner that doesn't know the height of the world. In comparison to Lord Xander he's-"

But before the man could Conroe Xander's cold voice interrupted

"Shut up."

As he heard Xander's cold voice the young man instantly wanted to cry!

He had been humiliated by Lucius before when he tried to speak out. Now that his boss was unhappy he wanted to lay out some flattering words to make him feel better and earn some favour; he had somehow managed to offend him instead!

"I'm not speaking to you." said Xander coldly making the student shiver like a leaf in the wind
