To make matters even better, this guy actually had a golden grade talent

With both a prominent background and amazing talent the current Xander could only be seen as a high value stock!

His status could only go up and rise from this point onward.

But this potential and talent had little meaning towards Lucius so when he saw Xander he didn't smile instead he eleven had a faint frown on his face.

Like he said before, this Xander guy really wasn't a good apple.

It could be said that Anybody that walked around with a group of lackeys wasn't a serious person but knowing that this guy was a destined small villain for the protagonist inevitably made Lucius's opinion for him drop Lower.

They were both villains and against the protagonist so in a way Lucius and him should actually get along. Even if Lucius didn't like him personally it should be more beneficial for him to get along with Xande . But that was all if this guy didn't have one flaw.

This guy was a noble supremacist.

It wasn't hard to understand how Xander ended up that way.

This guy was born near the top of the social pyramid. He had not only the background and resources but even the talent as well.

Young people were alway arrogant and the nobility even more so.

The general trend of the world was still that of the ruling noble class and noble dominance so such a way of thinking wouldn't really be criticised or stopped. In a way it could be even said or be faintly encouraged, so from a purely objective outlook, Xander's current world view was understandable.

Even with all this, what truly made Xander have a conflict with the protagonist was that even with his noble status and background he was raucous and firmly surprised by Landon, a mere commoner from bum fuck nowhere.

It was the shattering and breaking of his pride that drove him to hate Landon to the extreme.

What made Lucius a bit apprehensive was that his current stats was the same as Landon's, a commoner from the middle of nowhere. No, it should be even worse.

At Least Landon had the backing of the church as the chosen [Saint of Light]. The current Lucius was a complete peasant with nothing to his name .

Xander of course couldn't know these facts and approached Lucius with a rather polite tone.

From the way Lucius looked and carried himself he really didn't look and carry himself like a regular peasant.

His refined looks and confident demeanour were not something a regular peasant in Xander's should have.

Even if you didn't count the previous Lucius's background as the Leader of the revolutionary army, Just the memory of Lucius's previous life was enough.

He came from a world that preached absolute equality.

In that world nobody was superior to anyone else so how could he feel inferior to these backward nobles?

Even if someone's reached about the nobility of their blood to him he would just sneer in their faces.

Other than the few families in which their blood carried special abilities, this so-called "noble blood" only meant an increased chance of disabilities and birth defects.

Regardless of Lucius's thoughts Xander approached him with a smile and stretched out his hand.

"Hello there. I saw your face earlier in the Hero Class lobby. Since we're classmates this year I don't think it'll do any harm for us to introduce ourselves. My name is Xander Caldwell from the Caldwell Count family, it's my pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Lucius just looked at the outstretched hand for a while before shaking it and replying

"My name is Lucius… no last name. I come from a simple village so I don't feel like there's any need for a big introduction."

Hearing Lucius's introduction, Xander's face twitched as his body flinched for a while.

Lucius could see that it caused him some slight discomfort knowing the fact that he was so humble and polite in front of a mere commoner but he suppressed it.

No matter how arrogant he was Xander wasn't a complete idiot.

Knowing that Lucius was in the Hero Class, even if he was a commoner he would never treat him like the peasants he saw.

Someone in the hero class was someone destined to do things.

Regardless, he tried to maintain a polite expression on his face as he asked.

"So you're in the hero class right? What's your talent."

Lucius could already hear that the faint politeness and courtesy in his voice had already disappeared and Xander was much more blunt in his speech and questions.

A faint frown appeared on Lucius's face as he replied

"What does it mean to you? I don't have to tell you anything."

Xander was faintly annoyed but he still carried on

"Hahaha! If you're embarrassed about your talent, you don't have to tell me but at least tell us how strong you are. Mortal, 3rd class, 2nd class or even first class?

After saying that Xander just chuckled but Lucius wasn't amused.

"Like I said before, What does it matter to you?"

Xander's face now turned ugly.

It was fine if he didn't want to be friends but what is this?

How could a mere commoner disregard him like this?

Xander didn't really give a shit about a mere commoner.

He knew that as a commoner his trading and strength could never be too outstanding, it would be lucky if he was in the 3rd class.

Naturally asking such a question was just a way to faintly embarrass Lucius. But even if he asked the question with bad intentions, this commoner was not showing him any face at all and just treating him like air!

Xander was boiling but Lucius just didn't care

Seeing that Xander was already displeased, one of the many lackeys around him jumped out ready to use status his status to scare and humble Lucius.
