He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On

Chapter 62 - sixty-two: The two kinds of love

"Madi, it's okay to cry over him, to forgive him. But do not allow yourself to be forever fooled with him. If he didn't know how to love you the first time, he won't know how to do it the next. You deserve to be with someone who looks at you every single day like they've won the lottery, and have the world in front of them." he said standing up and wrapped me with his arms.

I cried in his shoulders as he rubbed my hair.

"Never force yourself to read a book that you do not enjoy. There are so many good books in the world, that it is foolish to waste your time reading on one that doesn't give you p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e."

I wiped my tears and pulled back from his hug.

"Where did you get that?" I asked bringing his handkerchief to my nose.

"Where did I get what?" he asked me confused.

"Your quotes. Shakespeare or anonymous?" I bite my lips to control my smile.

"Huh! That's all you can say, after all my efforts?" I chuckled when he pouted.

"At least I can make you laugh." he said seriously and I smiled at him.

"Thank you, Greg."

"When are you going to say 'I love you, Greg' instead of 'Thank you, Greg?"

And my smile disappeared as I looked on his serious face.

"Just kidding!"

He chuckled but I narrowed my eyes on him.

"There's someone who also wants to talk to you." he pointed his mouth behind me and I saw the face of non-smiling Nancy.

She hugged me and sit on the vacant chair beside me.

"Sissy, I'm sorry." she said taking my both hands.

"Why are you saying sorry?" Greg glared at her. "Don't you ever say sorry with the things you're not involved! It's your brother's mistakes, not yours!"

"I know. And I'm not happy with it!" she wiped the dried tears on my face.

"How are you, Sissy?"

Same question as her cousin. But before I could open my mouth, Greg turned to me.

"Madi, I have to go. I just have some important things to do." he said and kissed me on my forehead. "I'll just call you later. And Nancy.. take care of her."

"I know! Don't worry, I'll take care of her for you. I know how much you love, Madi.. hmp!"

Greg stopped in his trance after hearing Nancy's words. And he just scratched the back of his neck and shake his head before he walked his way towards the exit.

Gabriel's POV:

"Sir Gabriel, your cousin is here."

I turned around to see Elsa at the door frame. I headed immediately towards the gym when I read Madi's note in front of her door. And It's been two hours since I started to punch the punching bag in front of me. I tried to call her phone, but she isn't answering.

"Who's cousin?"

"Sir Greg."

I sighed and closed my eyes. Maybe he knows now what happened.

"Send him here."

"Okay, Sir."

When she disappeared, I punched again the poor punching bag. -'I'm sorry, friend!'- I muttered before giving him all the frustrations inside me. This is not a part of my plan! I never planned to i.m.p.r.e.g.n.a.t.e Stacey again!

"Why don't you punch yourself instead of punching that poor bag, huh?"

I glanced at the door and the serious face of Greg came to my view. But I ignored him and continued what I am doing. He walked in front of me with his hands on his pockets.

"I'm going to take Madi, Gabriel!"

The moment I heard that words came out from his mouth, I saw the shades of red in front of me. I collared him and pushed him to the nearest wall.

"What are you talking about taking her?" I shouted on his face. "She's not a puppy for you to take any time you want! Which part of the truth you don't understand? She's my f.u.c.k.i.n.g wife and I won't let you take her away from me!"

But to my surprise, he took both of my hands and pushed me hard that I almost stumbled if I wasn't balanced my weight.

"Then f.u.c.k you and your truth! You're right she's not a f.u.c.k.i.n.g puppy but she's not also a f.u.c.k.i.n.g idiot to stay on your side and help you while you're f.u.c.k.i.n.g your s.l.u.t of an ex!"

He shouted at me with all his veins showing on his neck.

"Don't you know how unfair you are with this marriage, Gabriel? She's your wife but you made your ex pregnant?"

"You don't know what's the real happened, Greg!"

"Really? Which part of it that you think I don't know about? That you keep on banging with your ex while Madi is waiting for you at home? That you get her pregnant while you made your wife a fool in front of her? That you're f.u.c.k.i.n.g------"

"I didn't bang her! I didn't f.u.c.k her! I didn't even touch her!"

"Then what happened?" he chuckled. "Your seeds automatically entered inside his p.u.s.s.y? Come on, Gabriel! I'm not stupid, so don't make me! I'm gonna take Madi with me, whether you like it or -----"

I didn't let him finish his sentence. I punched him squarely on his face, but when he composed himself, he gave me back the I punched I threw on him. I tasted my own blood when he cornered me and pushed me on the pec deck machine while his hand wrapped around my neck.

"Madi is a human, Gabriel! She can feel the hurt, she can feel the pain of your actions! Yes, she's just your fake wife, but she also have the rights to feel embarrassed in front of everyone! She's carrying your last name, she volunteered herself to help you! But you seemed nothing to know on how to appreciate her and her efforts!"

He's almost choking me and I am now gasping for air.

"That's not true!" I finally able to push him. My c.h.e.s.t is rising up and down. "I appreciate all her efforts, Greg!"

"Then how did Stacey get pregnant?"

"I don't know! I didn't bang her!" I shouted and brushed my hands over my face in a frustrated manner. "I just woke up one morning with her on the bed, n.a.k.e.d!" I take a seat on the floor and brushed my hair with my hand. "I went to the bar the night of our wedding, and after drinking four glasses of whiskey... I don't what's happened next. I just woke up one morning with her on the bed!" I massaged my throbbing temples. "I didn't mean to hurt Madi, I just don't know how to explain to her!"

"You mean to say, you got your drink spiked in the club?"

"That's what I've been doing these past few days. I hired people to investigate what happened! And I'm not even sure if the baby was mine!"

We both turned into silent.

"Then request a paternity test, to know the truth if the child is yours!" he said after a moment of silence.

"Is it possible? She's pregnant!"

"Yes, prenatal paternity test. It can be done within seven weeks of pregnancy. How far is she?" he asked me in a voice a bit lower than earlier.

"Eight weeks."

"Then do a prenatal paternity test! Don't do the same mistakes, Gabriel! We called 'ex'  as an 'ex' because it's an example of what you shouldn't have again in the future!"

I didn't say anything, I remained quiet.

"Maybe you can answer my questions right now, Gabriel."

I looked up on his face to see him wearing the most serious expression I've ever seen.

"Do you still love Stacey?"

This question haunted me for over a years ago. Do I still love her?

"No. I don't love her anymore. I'm just blinded of what she did, but I am no longer in love with her." I told him the truth without blinking. I don't love her anymore And I don't know if I really loved her in the first place.

"What about Madi? Are you in love with her, or you're just still using her for your revenge? Well.. you got what you wanted, you got your ex back! So you can now let go of Madi."

"No! I can't let her go!"

"Why? Why Gabriel? Why can't you let her go----"

"Because I love her!"

I shouted as I stand in front of him. I saw how the look of surprise written on his face before he smirked at me.

"Then.. may the best man win, cousin. Because to tell you honestly, I love her. I loved Madi since our first year in college. And because I love her, I remained on her side in every possible way I can. I supported her in all her decisions and always making her laugh and happy every time she's with me. I waited for her eight years ago until now, because that's what you call love, Gabriel. Willing to sacrifice and wait for your loved ones. And if I have to wait for her in another eight years, I won't hesitate to do it again for her!"

I was left speechless after he finished those lines... until he disappeared on my sight. I already know his feelings for her, but I didn't imagine it coming personally from him.

I can also do what he did for her, I can wait for Madi. But what I can't is to be with her without breaking her heart. I don't deserve her but I can't let her go. Call me selfish but I love her, that's the truth. I'm just being confused with what I feel for her, but now I know it... I've finally realized it. I love Madi, I love my wife.
