He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On

Chapter 46 - forty-six: The jerk Gabriel Vs. The furious Greg

Madi's POV:

"With whom?"

My eyes widened by his kind of question.

-'With whom? What is this, interrogation?'-

"With Sandy."

"And?"

I looked at him as my eyebrows knitted. "With Nancy."

"And there's another one!"

Why do I feel like his questioning me with whom I ate lunch with. "So, you already know there's another one?" I don't need to ask where did he get the information, because I can see nothing wrong with it.

"Yes! Why don't you tell who's the other one?" he asked me in a high-toned voice.

"If you already knew that there's another one with us, then why do you keep on asking?" I brushed past him and put my bag on top of my desk. I can feel my temper rising by his questions and by the tone that he used.

"Madi, I was just asking if who's with you! I've been calling you for almost one hour since I came back, and you're not answering!"

My head immediately snapped at him and I chuckled sarcastically.

"Oh, so you're calling me for almost one hour? Wow, congratulations, that means you haven't forget my number! Well, FYI... I've also been calling you for almost two days. I've been trying to reach you and sent you so many messages this morning, but where were you? Have you answered any of my calls? Have you responded to any of my messages?"

"Madi, you know where I am!"

"Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Wilsons, but as an employee and your personal assistant, I don't know your whereabouts! I'm not concerned with your personal business! And I've already cancelled two of your meetings this morning!" I answered wearing my professionalism look.

"I don't care whether you cancelled all my appointments today! I am not asking you as your boss, I am asking you as your husband!"

"Oh, so you're asking me now as my husband? Fake husband Mister. And as your fake wife, does it still important to know whom I ate lunch with? Because as far as I remember, I didn't ask what you did and who you with, these past two days."

"We're getting out of the topic, Madi! Who's with you beside Ms. Aguilar and Nancy?"

-'Wow! getting out of topic.. or you're just avoiding the real topic?'-

"I'm with Greg, Mr. Wilsons! Your cousin and your bestfriend!" I answered proudly. -'patience..patience..'-

"Why were you with him?" he asked me through gritted teeth and clenched jaws.

"What is it with you, if I'm with him? He's my friend----"

"I don't want you to talk to him! Stay away from him, Madi!"

If he's happened to be a dragon, I am sure...  I am already toasted on where I stood. I remember Nancy's words, he's jealous with Greg? I don't think so.. maybe just his ego.

"Wow! Mr. Wilsons, you're now stepping into my personal life!" ... --'you already stepped inside my heart'-- ... "What if I ask you to stay away from Stacey, will you do it?"

"Madi, it's a different thing, and you know I can't!"

"Then I also can't! Greg is my friend-----"

"A friend? You don't know him, Madi!"

"And you don't know me neither!" I glared at him as he clenched his jaws and exhaled loudly.

"Madi------" we heard a knock from the door and we both turned to see Sandy.

"Excuse me Sir, but Mr. Greg Anderson is in your office, he said he wants to talk to you." she said as her eyes moving from me to Gabriel.

What is Greg doing here... Inside of his office?

"What is he doing inside my office? Why did you let him in?" he snapped at her and she almost jumped in shock.

"I'm sorry Sir, but he didn't listen to me when I said.. you're not in there. He just let himself in."

I eyed Sandy in a playful manner. He let himself in... well, she's right. Greg is also as stubborn as his cousin, the only difference is that.. he has a jolly personality and easy to approach with, unlike Gabriel.

"We're going to talk about this 'at home', Madi." he said emphasizing the words at home. Yeah, I forgot.. we're now living in one roof.

"Okay." I just shrugged my shoulders. But I have plans for tonight. I don't want to see him around the house as much as possible, so I can avoid being hurt every time I remember what he did for this last two days.. with her.

When he's already gone, Sandy immediately run towards me.

"He's jealous with Mr. Anderson."

"I don't know." I shrugged my shoulders. I don't want to think about it in that way. My heart is already in mess, I don't want to go home with my mother without my sanity.

"Hmm.. I like the way you answered." she has an evil smile on her face. "Tsk.Tsk. This is going to 'more' ridiculous day by day, but nice and exciting at the same time." she winked at me as she laughed at herself. "If I were you, I would always go out with Mr. Anderson."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "And why?"

"To make him more 'jealous'."

"Tss! Go back to your work, if you don't want to get fire and lose your precious job."

"Ohh, I doubt that!" she proudly patted her shoulder. "I know you're not going to abandon me and take me if he decided to end my career in WEC, if ever!"

"Huh! You're crazy!"

"I am, Mrs. Wilsons." and she runs towards the door.

Gabriel's POV:

"What are you doing here?" I asked my cousin as soon as I entered my office. He's sitting comfortably on the chair in front of my table.

"You sounded mad, bro. I'm here to see you, of course." he said smiling. He didn't even move a bit from his seat.

"To see me or to see Madi?"

"Ohh.. both. I wanted to see my beautiful Madi, and I also want to talk to you"

"Don't call her yours! She's not yours! And we're married!" I slammed both of my hands on the desk. But he just laughed at me and shook his head.

"I know, I saw her wedding ring earlier. But as far as I remember, that was just an act, that was just for your deal!" he's now starting to get serious.

"Its none of your business, Greg." I said as I looked away from his eyes.

"As long as this deal remains a deal. This is also my business, Gabriel! We're bestfriends, you shared to me everything. But why do I feel, that when it comes to Madi, you're shutting me out of your life?"

"I'm not shutting you out, I just don't want to see you with her."

He sarcastically laughed as he brought his arms over his c.h.e.s.t.

"Tell me, Gabriel, why you don't want me to get close with her? Are you jealous, or are you threatened?"

"And why would I be threatened?"

"I don't know, you tell me." he shrugged and sneered. "Okay, let me answer that for you, my dear cousin. Hmm.. maybe because you're afraid that Madi will fall for me---"

"That's not gonna happen!" I glared at him.

"Ohh, are you sure? Because if you're going to look further into it... I'm not the bad guy here, but you. You dragged an innocent soul to your selfish plans. And don't act as if you're jealous, because you have no rights!" he's now standing and looking at me like I am a piece of meat to him. "Yes you married her, but let me remind you of your own word.. your marriage may be real, but there's nothing between you and her! Or else you changed your plans.. and changed your heart."

I looked at him not sure what he's trying to say.

"Are you falling in love with her, Gabriel?" he asked me through gritted teeth and banged his fists on top of the table. But I didn't give him the answer he wants to hear.

"F.u.c.k you! Your sailing in two rivers, Gabriel! Why don't you stop your stupid plan with your ex and move on? If you care for Madi, stop being selfish drop all your baggage from your past!"

"I can't Greg! You know I can't! I've waited for this for so long, and I can't just stop right now!"

"Bullshit, Gabriel!"

He's instantly in front of me and grabbed the collar of my shirt as he pinned me to the nearest wall behind me. I didn't try to fight, I just let him do it.

"I swear to God Gabriel, if I saw Madi get hurt with your damned plan, I will forget everything that we had! I'll forget that you've been my bestfriend and my cousin! So, you better pray.. because if I can glimpse even a small sign of opportunity, I'll take her away from a selfish like you!"

He dropped his hold on my collar and without looking back, he exited my office. I let out a sigh and fix my shirt. I formed my fist and banged it on the table.

Madi's POV:

I saw Greg, exited from Gabriel's office when I came out from Sandy's room. And I frowned when I see the scowl on his face.

"Greg!" I called his attention, and he immediately smiled when he recognized me.

"Madi."

"What happened to you? You have a crunched face when you came out from Gabriel's office? What happened inside?"

"Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Greg?" I raised my eyebrow as I looked at him suspiciously.

"Okay, fine. Your boss has been a jerk and we just had a little argument, but it's nothing."

"Hmm.. so he's been a 'jerk?" I asked him nodding.

"Yeah, but anyway.. I have to go Madi. Nancy's waiting for me in the parking lot."

"Oh, okay... no problem." I smiled at him and he kissed me on my cheek.

"Thank you for the lunch, Madi." and he winked at me.

"Yeah, you're welcome. But I am hoping the table is yours the next time."

"Oh, sure. What about tonight? I know a good place here to take out all the stress in you. You can also invite Sandy."

"Wow.. really? Okay, I'm in. But, can I also invite Noelle?"

"Huh?" I chuckled at his reaction.

"Just kidding. Bye Greg. Just text me the address."

"Sure. Bye, Madi."

When I saw him entered the elevator, I turned my heels into Gabriel's office. I remember his promise when he turned into a jerk again. -'Be ready my dear husband!'-

I didn't bother to knock on his door. What for.. I won't stay long. I saw him frowning and looking blankly on the folders in front of him. But when he saw me coming, he straightened his seat and smiled at me.

"Madi------ (slap)

He looked at me puzzled as he brought his hand on his left cheek.

"W-What's that for?"

"Huh!" I sneered. " For being a jerk, my love! Remember? I'm just taking your promise!"

I smiled sweetly before I turned my heels towards the door. I left him shocked and dumbfounded. And I sighed when I am already outside.
