He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On

Chapter 42 - forty-two: Sunday Breakfast

Madi's POV:

"Greg, can you give me the chocolate syrup, please?"

"Sure." he gave me the syrup from the counter as I continue to arrange the pancakes from the large plate.

"Thanks." I smiled at him.

"You're always welcome." and he winked at me. I just shook my head and smiled at him.

I woke up early this morning, although I hate mornings and waking up early. But this is our last day here in Belleville, and I want to cook some breakfast for all of us. When I opened our bedroom door, I found Greg stretching and doing some push-ups in the hallway. He asked me why I get up early and I said I'm planning to cook breakfast, so we ended up both cooking here in the kitchen. He's doing his cheesy and bacon omelette while I am now arranging my chocolate pancakes and chocolate muffins.

"I missed this kind of moments, Madi." he said while flipping his omelette.

I immediately looked up to him and made face, silencing him to shut his mouth because someone might hear us.

"Ohh.. I'm sorry." he said smiling shyly.

I sighed and playfully glared my eyes on him as he gave me a throaty laughed.

"Gregyyy..." I said teasing him with his hatest nickname. I remember one time, Noelle called him by that but he gave her a sharp look.

"Oh, Madielyn.. stop that!" he complained while scratching the back of his neck.

"Why?" I asked him, smiling. "Nancy's also calling you that."

"You know I hate that. It's just for a child!"

I laughed when he threw his hand in the air just to show me how he hates calling him that nickname.

"I just don't have a choice when they're calling me that."

"But it's nice you know."

"Yeah, for you Madielyn Davis, but for me, it's not. You're like my Mom, she loves to tease me by shouting that name in front of my friends. And sometimes inside the groceries store-------"

"Greggyy!" we both turned to the squealing Nancy while screaming his name. I can't help not to burst out laughing when his jaws dropped after that.

"Good morning greggyy..." And I laughed even more that I need to clutch my stomach while covering my mouth.

"Morning." he said with crunched face.

"What are you cooking, Gregy?" Nancy asked while looking at the pan.

"Your favorite, cheesy omelet." he answered coldly.

"Oh okay, what about you Sissy--- wait! Why are you laughing?" she asked when she turned to me.

"Huh?" I noticed Greg behind her, glaring at me. "Because he hates it when someone's calling him that name." I said while laughing.

"Oh.. I'm sorry Gregy! I didn't know you hate it when someone's calling you Gregy. Don't worry Gregy, I'll try not to call you Gregy again. But for now, since you're my favorite cousin, Gregy..and you're cooking my favorite breakfast, I'll think about it, Gregy." she said and also laughed together with me. Take note of how many times she mentioned the word 'Gregy'.

"Argh! Madielyn Davis!" he said and he playfully narrowed his eyes on me. He also started to walk towards my direction.

"Huh? Why me? I only mentioned it once?" I asked laughing as I started to step back.

"Because you still mentioned it with this stubborn lady!" he said referring to Nancy.

"Excuse me! I'm not stubborn!" Nancy defended as she also laughed while watching his cousin.

"Yeah, but it's not my fault when she mentioned it six times." I continue to step back.

"Forget it, but when I catch you-----"

"And when you catch her, what?" I gasped when someone pulled me by my waist and my back bumped into a hard c.h.e.s.t. I looked up to see the serious face of Gabriel.

"Love----" I tried to talk to him but he cut me off.

"What are you doing?" he asked in an irritated tone. And I raised my eyebrow.

"We're cooking breakfast." I said seriously while looking directly into his eyes. I don't get it, he sounded mad at me and to Greg.

"Cooking breakfast.. but he's chasing you?"

"Come on, Gabriel. We're just cooking breakfast and throwing some jokes here." Greg said and he now back in front of the stove.

"Yeah, Gregy is right, Gab." Nancy added, and I bite my lip not to laugh when Greg suddenly turned to her.

"Yeah? Is that the new form of jokes, right now? Chasing my fiancee around the table? And if I didn't show myself here, you're going to chase her and then what.. hug her after that?" My eyes widened with his question, but when I turned to Greg, he's just laughing, while Nancy is having the same reaction as mine.

"Gabriel, what are you talking about?" I can't help ask. What is happening to him? And then he turned to me with his glaring eyes.

"Why, am i not allowed to ask my 'cousin' and 'my fiancee' what's happening here in the kitchen?" he emphasized the word cousin and fiancee.

"Gabriel, what are you thinking?" I asked not even sure if he's still acting or not. Because this is not included in what we have talked about.

"What's happening here, kids?" Mr. Wilsons came to our view.

"Oh, nothing Dad. It's just that.. Gabriel is jealous with Gregy here." Nancy said flipping her hair.

I saw how the face of Mr. Wilsons turned from frowning to being amused.

"I'm not jealous! I'm just asking!" Gabriel pulled me to his side. Nancy and I shared a look, and I couldn't help myself not to smile with the idea of him being jealous.

"Oh, really? But that was not the tone of a person who's just asking, Gabriel." Nancy raised her eyebrow on him.

"Stop it now, kids." Mr. Wilsons stand in the middle of his two children. "Gabriel, you don't need to feel jealous with Gregy boy."

I looked away when I saw Greg's sour face. Nancy is also controlling her laugh.

"Dad, I told you I'm not jealous!"

"Okay, if you're not jealous.. then good! But if you are----"

"Dad!"

"Fine! Fix your issues before your Mom came----whow! Who made this?" he didn't finish what he was saying when he noticed the chocolate pancakes in the dining table.

"It's Madi, Uncle Jonas." Greg proudly answered.

"Wow! You know what, Gabriel? If I were you, instead of sulking and being jealous... I would give my fiancee a sweet and passionate morning kiss." Mr. Wilsons said and he winked at me.

My eyes widened when Gabriel turned to me, grinning.

"Thank you Dad, for giving me such a wonderful idea." he said while tightening his hold on my waist.

"Gabri----" he immediately cupped my face and give me what was his father said. A sweet, passionate and long morning kiss.

"Thank you, love. That's awesome." he said wiping my lips with his thumb. I glared at him and pulled his collar.

"You promised me last night!" I whispered through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry love, but Dad requested it. I'm just giving Dad his request." he said grinning and kissed me on my cheek.

I just blinked my eyes on him. He's really a bipolar, not just sometimes but all of the times. Earlier, he's like a jealous boyfriend glaring me and Greg, but now.. I'm wishing inside to slap the grin on his face.

"Hmm.. I can smell something sweet and delicious." We all turned to Mrs. Wilsons and the two other women behind her, including Sav and Chris.

"Good morning, Ma." Nancy kissed her mother's cheek.

"Good morning." Mrs. Wilsons hugged her back and then turned to me. "Good morning my beautiful future daughter in law."

I awkwardly smiled and greeted her back. "Good morning, Ma. Good morning Aunties." I also smiled with the two women.

"Wow, I like what my eyes seeing today." Uncle Jhon came from the door with Uncle James and the two boys, Phillip and Justine.

"Madi and Gregy, made all of these." Nancy proudly announced.

"Really?" Mrs. Wilsons asked looking at me and to Greg. "Thank you, Madi and Greg for this."

"You're welcome, Auntie." Greg smiled at her.

"Madi, since you're good at cooking... why don't you put up your own business? What about your own restaurant?" I gulped when Aunt Cindy asked me.

"Yeah, I agree to that." I secretly glanced at Greg who's biting his lips to suppress his laugh.

"Uhm.. I-I am busy for being my boss's assistant." I answered emphasizing the word boss. Gabriel laughed beside me.

"Love, if you want to put your own business, I will support you. If you want, I can help you enrol in a cooking school so, you can have a formal training-----" he didn't finish his sentence when Greg started to laugh, not exactly at him but to the idea of me... enrolling again in a cooking school?

"What's funny?" Gabriel asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, nothing. It's not you, cousin. I've just received some funny text messages from my friend in college." Greg said, showing his cellphone. And I secretly glared at him when he emphasized his last word.

"Okay, Okay. Let's eat for now, so we can start preparing for the Sunday mass." Mrs. Wilsons said and she gestured all of us to sit down.

Gabriel kissed me on my forehead before he seated himself beside me. I raised my eyebrow at him but he just smiled at me.
