Harry The Harem Lord-1

Chapter 34 - Salazar Slytherin's Locket!

Harry stood up and started walking behind Kreacher. He took him to remote, dark, and almost hidden — no, it was just that people wouldn't look for such a place, hence looking over it.

Upon entering Kreacher's resting place, Harry was reminded of the place his future self (other self of a different timeline) had to live in. If it wasn't for the system, he would be living in such a place!

Harry had to bend his back a little as it was so small that it could hardly contain Kretecher, much less Harry!

There weren't many things — no, that would be too much to say that — there was hardly anything!

Harry could only see a very old newspaper. He could tell it was very, very old because the color was turned yellow, and all the blank ink has faded away.

The old newspaper — Harry reckons — was Kreacher's bed. Harry felt pity for him. Harry knew he couldn't do much to change the old house-elf, because, even a young one like Wendy — his house-elf — was very hard to convince. Harry needed a few months to make Wendy wear proper clothes, which she originally thought was her way out, as Harry was kicking her out, and Harry had to work hard to make her understand that that wasn't the case.

So, Harry knew that he had no chance of convincing Kreacher in a short time, and that is why he gave up an idea for now. He wanted to help these poor elves, but this wasn't the time. It will have to wait for the future.

"Alright, it isn't here, now, take me to Regulus Black's room, Kreacher," said the disappointed Harry, as that was the last place the locket could be. Harry hoped it was there. He was afraid that things might have changed a lot, and the locket wasn't there, which will bring lots of difficulty on Harry's part.

Kreacher was so puzzled by Harry's initial request. He was wondering whether master Harry was checking for robbery. Harvey's beard! T-That, can't be right, right? He did no such thing! But he was still afraid of what might happen to him, so without thinking much he just led Harry to where he wanted to please him, so he wouldn't kick him out!

Poor Kreacher didn't know what was happening, hence misunderstanding Harry's intentions!

They reached the door — on the door was written "R.A.B." and Harry knew he was in the right place!

Not only because of the words, but also the system sensed the dark magic unique to the Horcrux!

Harry was excited that his work wasn't wasted and he didn't need to look elsewhere to find the Horcrux! And that means no wasted trip to the cave!

Harry opened the door without waiting for Kreacher.

Inside, it wasn't cleared for a long time so there were layers of thick dust.

One side of the wall had Voldemort's posters and cutting from newspapers — just like how teenagers would have posters of their favorite actor/actress — Regulus, from the look of it, was a fan of Voldemort.

Harry, however, knew that later on, Regulus found the horrible truth of Voldemort, and tried to make him mortal!

Harry ignored all the dust and posters, and everything, as his sole focus, was on the corner where the locket was!

He carefully went ahead and picked it up by chains, and even without the system's help, Harry could tell with his magic sense that it was the locket he was looking for! The Horcrux!

Kreacher was astonished to see the locket, and exclaimed in surprise, "Master Regulus' locket!"

Harry was in no mood to correct Kreacher about its origin, but that reminded him that he has a spectator, and so he can't possibly use his magic to a full extent — even if it was a house-elf!

Harry decided to give Kreacher a job to do about his next plan. Kreacher will be away on a mission that will help Harry on his next plan!

Before that, he decided to talk to him to understand that this timeline wasn't so much different from the past one.

"Kreacher, tell me what you know about this locket!" ordered Harry solemnly!

Kreacher was relieved that the matter wasn't about him, but the locket. Then, Harry just asked him a question with seriousness, so he tensed up, again.

He slowly started telling the story, and to Harry's relief and surprise, it was the same!

Regulus went to the cave and bought back the locket, but he was poisoned, so he ordered Kreacher to destroy it on his death bed. Kreacher tried and used many magic spells but failed to destroy it. In the end, he just kept it here, where his master used to sit and sleep.

"You did a good job! I will try to destroy it on your behalf and complete Regulus' last wish. Right, I need you to do something for me," praised Harry, and continued, "Secretly go to the kitchen, no, first go and clean all the bathrooms and toilets, but keep one near the kitchen as it is. Then go to the kitchen, and observe what they are doing. Make sure they don't discover you. And then report to me," ordered Harry. This step was important for his next plan.

Kreacher bowed to him, and said, "As you wish, Master Harry!" With a snap of his finger, he disappeared from Harry's sight. Harry checked with his magical sense and the system, and the result was the same — he indeed left.

Harry didn't waste any time. He made a shield around the room so others couldn't find what he was doing inside. He took out his multiple-core wand and performed the same magic spell done by the system. He was doing this at a much slower speed compared to the system. He pointed his wand at the locket and cast the spell to separate the soul from the locket.

The locket dangerously started vibrating and threatened to leave Harry's hand. Harry wasn't worried that it would fall and break. The amazing scene happened just after that!

The screaming face, with the dark air around it, came out of the locket!

Harry knew that the spell was a success, so he cast the next spell to destroy the remaining soul!

"Fiendfyre!" shouted Harry, while pointing his wand to the dark face and holding the locket in the other hand!

The screaming increased as the face started burning. A few moments passed like that. The fire was only extinguished when the face was destroyed. Nothing was left behind — not even ashes!

Harry also confirmed it with the system as there was a notification on destroying the Horcrux.

The Horcrux was destroyed!

Harry then checked the missions.

'System, show me all the missions!'

"That is good." Harry nodded his head in satisfaction.

The main thing Harry was concerned about in this long list of missions was "Current Horcrux: 2/9" this line. The number of destroyed Horcrux has increased to 2!

The first one was inside him and the second was the locket.

Harry checks the mission again. The reward displayed in the system gave him newfound strength to complete them.

Even though it was a long list, Harry wasn't worried. In fact, he was considering checking out missions once in a while, in the future, to motivate himself, and rewards given out were enough to regain the energy!

Harry also noticed that in mission 3 was change. The s.e.x list was considered done, and doing s.e.x was partially done. Harry was happy with that. He was planning to do a few more things too.

Harry then checked the locket. He looked at the serpentine S, inlaid with glittering, green stones: It was easy to visualize it as a minuscule snake... concentrating on the letter S, imagining a serpent, while the contents of the locket rattled like a trapped c.o.c.kroach. Harry could feel that it had some powerful ability, but couldn't put his finger on it. Also, it was worn by Salazar Slytherin, so it couldn't be simple and useless, that was for sure!

Harry then put the locket inside the Spatial Ring and took a different locket. He decided to check it when he had time, maybe later at his home.

He placed the new locket on the floor and used a very common spell, "Reducto!"

The new locket exploded when hit by a blue light coming from the wand. There were only bits and pieces left, and some parts completely turned into ashes, so it was impossible to gather them back and find the original shape of locket!

To make sure of it, Harry gather all the pieces and used the spell once again, "Reducto!"

Which is left with only a few pieces — just enough to make sure that it was from the locket.

Harry was gathering them when he felt turmoil in his shield and knew that Kreacher was coming back. 'Perfect timing! Now it is time for some acting, and I hope he brings me good news, so I can follow up on the next part of the plan!'
