Acura spent the next five years like a normal child; however, he had a tendency to experiment with anything he found interesting. Since the laws of the world were slightly different than the one in his previous lifetime, he needed to get himself familiar with this world before he could apply his knowledge in this world. Also, in the meantime he had to get his new human body to the strongest state it can be at present.

To prevent his parents from finding anything too weird, Acura disguised all his training as playing around like a normal kid. Running around, climbing, jumping, picking things up and moving them around, all his actions were as if some kid was entertaining himself.

Though in reality, if an expert had observed everything carefully, they would realize that this child was straining each of his muscles and bones to the absolute precise amount possible without injuries. Also, the various random poses he would get in while playing around was designed to train his body to have maximum flexibility, dexterity and explosive power.

But as they say, nothing is ever perfect in anyone's life for long. After enjoying four years of peace and happiness, Acura's life was intruded upon by an unexpected accident. His parents still lived in the ancient ruins as they didn't have much money to even rent a shack in the city. Suddenly a few weeks before his fifth birthday, an unexpected medium level earth quake hit large parts of New Indraprastha and its nearby region.

Since Acura was out playing and his dad had gone for his junkyard job, they were oblivious to this. It was only half an hour later that Acura's father Yash got the news about the Earthquake. Worried about his family, he begged for a leave from his boss and rushed to the ruins to check up on them. However, his heart shattered upon seeing a blank faced Acura kneeling next to his mother, whose lower body was crushed by some broken parts of the ruins.

He could feel his wife's breath rattling in her c.h.e.s.t as she slowly gave a painfilled smile through her blood-stained lips. Tears flowed freely from his eyes as he knelt beside his son and grasped the hand his wife weakly extended towards him.

"I am glad you could make it here so soon dear," his wife Mina spoke in a whisper "I wasn't sure how long I could hold on and I didn't want Acura to be alone."

"Still thinking about Acura even now? Why don't you worry about yourself?" Yash spoke in an anger and despair filled voice "Please hold to the last of your energy. I will get someone to help and we will shift you to hospital. I can borrow money from my boss and --"

"It's hopeless Yash, trust me." Mina spoke with a slight shake of her head as her eyes started to get unfocused "no one knows my body better than me. My spiritual sense has already confirmed that this body is almost finished. Nearly all my organs are damaged and my sense of pain is fading. I am barely even able to speak so please don't try a futile effort to save me."

"What do you want me to do then?"

"Just take care of Acura, Yash. You will be the only parent he has left now. Try to give him enough love to make up for both of us." She smiled softly then took her hand away from Yash and put it on Acura's head.

Feeling a touch of warmth on his head, Acura's blank face finally showed some emotion as his eyes came back into focus and a slight moisture built up in his eyes despite him trying his best to fight it.

Mina smiled at this overly m.a.t.u.r.e little gem of hers. He always tried so hard not to ever rely on anyone else, even eating all his food by himself and taking care of his hygiene without outside help.

If it was under normal circ.u.mstances, she would have liked to pamper him and make him be a normal spoilt child. Yet now that she would no longer be by his side, she knew that it was better to let him grow even more m.a.t.u.r.e in a short amount of time.

"Acura, listen to the last words your mom is going to impart to you and make them your life's goal" mina said in a soft voice that had a hint of steel in it

"This world is cruel my child, it takes p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in tormenting the weak, trampling the poor and attacking the unprepared. For weak people like us, if we stay weak then your end will be like mine. Death that comes with dignity is a luxury affordable by the powerful, rich and influential people."

"Carve these words in your heart child, you are not to die in an undeserving manner like this. I don't care how you will live your life my child, its entirely in your hands. However, at the moment of your death, you have to be someone whose name resounds in the heart of the whole world."

"Whether be a villain or a hero, a demon or a saint, your life should not be a forgotten story. You have to gain power and become a legend that can face his final moment with pride."

"Promise me child, promise me that your name will one day resound in this world. Take this dismal world by storm and make everyone remember your name, no matter whether it be because of fear, respect, envy or admiration."

"I promise, mum" Acura's soft yet steady voice finally resounded and with that Mina gave one last pat on his head before light faded from her eyes.

The father and son kept kneeling in silence for a long time before they finally removed the stones covering Mina with some effort. Her broken body was scooped up by Yash as he took her to the depths of ruins where some old unmarked graves were present. Laying the body at the side, Yash found a large pointed rock and started digging the ground with it.

Once he had dug a grave large enough for Mina, he finally came to his senses and found that while he had been digging, Acura had been silently gathering dirt from his digging and piling it up to the side. Yash climbed up from the grave before picking up Mina's broken body and slowly lowering it to the newly dug grave.

Acura followed up this silently by scooping up the piled dirt with his hands and throwing it in the grave. Yash joined him and soon they had a new unmarked grave in front of them, freshly packed with dirt. After that they sat side by side for the rest of the night as they stared at the grave in silence.

With the first rays of sunshine that graced the ruins, Yash packed up the meagre possessions they had. Giving a final look to the grave of his wife, he abandoned the ruins for good along with Acura, deciding to find a home for the two of them near where he worked. Now it was just two of them against the world, and Yash was determined not to let any tragedy set its eyes on his son.
