Forsaken By Love

Di Zhiqing, who was inside, looked at the door with a hesitating and guilty look. She was the one who had invited Lin Xiulan today, but now she was stopped at the door. This was quite embarrassing.

But Master Lu did not care about their feelings at all. He knew that Di Zhiqing was behind this, and while he felt slightly sad about her behavior, he also understood that he could not indulge her.

Lu Nanfeng was his son. This was not a question about who was right and wrong, because it was about Lu Nanfeng's life. No one had more right to decide what should happen than Lu Nanfeng himself. 

Not to mention that Master Lu saw that Lu Nanfeng sincerely liked He Lixue. He was not subtle about it, and Master Lu could understand that he was serious. 

While Lin Xiulan still blinded Di Zhiqing, no one else in the family trusted her.

He was not sure what had happened between Lu Nanfeng and Lin Xiulan, but he understood that something unforgivable had happened. Otherwise, he knew his son well enough to know that he would not cut his ties with her.

He Lixue looked at the three other people in the sitting room. Her eyes were confused, and she looked at each one of them with surprise. Why was the atmosphere in the room suddenly so stiff? 

He Lixue had not realized that they each had their own thoughts about Lin Xiulan. Master Lu was unhappy with her, Di Zhiqing was embarrassed, and Lu Nanfeng was also feeling disgruntled that she had appeared out of nowhere.

Seeing her clueless expression, Lu Nanfeng's bad mood suddenly vanished, and he was happy again. Seeing that Lu Nanfeng's mood rose in such a moment, Master Lu was astonished. 

Lu Nanfeng was known to be a glacier. He was always cold and not very emotional, but seeing how he changed his mood so swiftly, Master Lu understood that He Lixue was much more influential than he had initially expected.

"Let us go eat," Master Lu said suddenly. He decided to change the subject, and he was the first to walk into the dining room.

Di Zhiqing glared fiercely at He Lixue before she turned around and followed behind him. Lu Nanfeng and He Lixue looked at one another and saw the confusion in each other's eyes. 

"Well, let's go," Lu Nanfeng said as he grasped He Lixue's hand and began walking towards the dining room. 

As they reached the open door, the scent of food wafted into their nostrils, and He Lixue's eyes shone so brightly.

Food. That was something she loved. If she could, she would eat all the time, but then she would turn into a little piggy. 

A piggy was not such a good thing to be, so while she loved eating, she had to have some limits. However, as she looked at the table full that was overflowing with delicacies; she knew that it was impossible for her to hold back. 

Master Lu looked at Lu Nanfeng and He Lixue as they entered through the door, and when he saw her shining eyes and her almost drooling expression, he could not help but lift his hand to cover the smile on his lips. 

He Lixue was not a difficult person to understand at all. She was straightforward and honest. Her eyes told Master Lu everything he needed to know, and seeing her like this, his opinion of her rose again.

While Master Lu and Lu Nanfeng were happy, Di Zhiqing was even more unhappy. When she felt that her husband was warming up to He Lixue, her expression turned extremely ugly.

He Lixue completely ignored Di Zhiqing, and she continued spending the evening conversing with Master Lu. When Master Lu heard about the Fenghuang Group's new security system, he was astounded and quite happy. 

When he then heard that it was due to this security system that the Organization had kidnapped her, he was rather indignant. 

He Lixue did not tell him that she was the other He Lixue, she just said she had a similar coding technique and that they had mistaken her for someone else. 

When hearing that it was a question of mistaken identity, he was curious as to whether or not she would be safe in the future, but Lu Nanfeng and He Lixue shook their heads in regret.

"The original He Lixue has died, and since my coding resembles her, they want to force me to take over her job," He Lixue said with a sigh. It was not a lie, but she still felt slightly guilty, not telling the whole truth.

But while Lu Nanfeng could trust her and believe in her, would a random man suddenly believe her if she claimed that she had been reborn in another person's body? 

Seeing that it was not her fault for getting involved with the Organization, Master Lu did not blame her for the whole incident. Instead, he pitied her, and felt that what Lu Nanfeng had done was acceptable. 

Especially because, although Lu Nanfeng was working alongside Wen Sihan, he was not doing anything illegal technically. He only handled all the legal aspects of their teamwork, while Wen Sihan took care of the grey and illegal areas.

Since Lu Nanfeng was able to stay on the right side of the law, he was not going to blame him for anything, and instead, he was looking forward to what future He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng would have together. 

Unbeknown to everyone inside the room, Lin Xiulan was still waiting outside the entrance. It was not warm, but it was not cold either. She could easily stay and wait, but her feet began hurting from standing on her stilettos. 

While she was waiting, she stared at the house where the light was flooding out of the windows. There were sometimes figures moving past the windows, but the atmosphere inside was feeling soft and warm, but Lin Xiulan was cold in her heart. 

All of this; the house, the dinner, the man, they ought to belong to her, not to He Lixue. 

The more she thought, the more upset she became. How could such a cheap little hoof steal her man?
