Forsaken By Love

Just like the day before, He Lixue cooked some congee for Lu Nanfeng and herself for breakfast. It was fast to make, and she knew that although he did not have a hangover, he needed something light.

After washing up and getting dressed, Lu Nanfeng exited the bathroom and went to the kitchen where he saw He Lixue had been cooking food for him.

He felt warmth at heart but also quite lost. He had never experienced anything like this before, and the feeling was something he did not want to lose out on.

Now that he had someone who was pampering him, he was not willing to let her go. Even though he had not fully grasped the severity of his emotions, he was used to getting what he wanted, and right now, there was nothing he wanted more than He Lixue.

Since he had decided that she could only be his, it was natural that he would begin acting on his emotions, but he was a man who knew what he was doing, and he never jumped into anything without a thorough plan.

Since he had not thoroughly planned how to get He Lixue into his hands, he was not going to make a move yet. From the time he began moving, he would make it so that she was not going to have the slightest chance of escaping his net.

"Want a lift to work?" Lu Nanfeng asked as he finished eating the porridge, and He Lixue quickly finished her own food. She washed up quickly and got ready, after which she fawningly grabbed his arm and swung it with her own.

"Brother Nanfeng, please drive me to work today," she said smilingly, and Lu Nanfeng felt that she was so adorable that he could hardly control himself from pinching her cheeks.

Sighing, he did not know when he stopped having control over his own actions, and he could not help but shake his head.

"Let's get going then," he said, and He Lixue smiled sweetly at him, she was quite happy, not at all thinking that there would be anything wrong with her showing up at work together with her boss.

When they arrived at the office, He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng caught the attention of many of the upper ranks of the company. While they were curious about the relationship between the two of them, they were not going to ask as they might insult their boss.

As they entered the elevator, none of them spoke with each other, but there hung a slight smile on both their lips, and they were full of happiness just being in each other's company.

As they arrived at the floor belonging to the IT Security Department, He Lixue left the elevator, and Lu Nanfeng looked at her back until the door closed. His smile slowly dissipated, and a cold, unfeeling mask appeared on his face.

He entered his office, sat down at his desk, and looked out the window for some time. Without realizing it, Assistant Zhang entered the office and placed some papers on the desk in front of Lu Nanfeng.

This act caused him to look away from the windows, to let go of the thoughts that were messing up his mind, and he took the doc.u.ments.

He looked through all of them one after another, his eyes becoming darker and darker, the aura around him turning turbulent and menacing.

When he looked at the pictures, while the appearance was pretty much the same, the smile was so different from each other, and the eyes were not the same.

The look in the eyes of the woman on the pictures was innocent, and she was so different from the woman he knew right now.

He saw the changes that had happened to her and was unsure of what might have caused this change. Was it simply the coma? It couldn't be.

From what he gathered of information, he also found that she had never had a laptop before, nor did she have a stationary computer. She had a phone, but she was not an expert at using it and only used it for making calls.

He had gotten all the information from the servants of the He family before and gathered information with his most elite and professional team of subordinates. They were able to gather any piece of information he wanted, and it was quite rare that he used them to gather such extensive information as he had now.

He had also gotten a rundown of her personality. He Lixue from before the coma was a bit spoiled, she was acting like a spoiled princess through and through. She was used to getting everything her way, but fortunately, she was not arrogant.

Even so, her past personality did not match the one she had now at all. How was it possible that she had woken up with a complete understanding of computers, and her personality had changed so much?

Was this still the same person, or had something happened during her time in the coma?

He was worried and felt quite uncomfortable. What if this was but another personality that she had developed because of the coma, would she disappear one day?

Thinking that the current He Lixue might suddenly vanish, Lu Nanfeng felt an urge to destroy the world. If she was not in the world, what was the point of it existing?

But he was not in a hurry to determine what the cause of her changes was. If he asked her too many questions, then it was likely that she would end up trying to leave him, and that was something he could not afford.
