The following day, He Lixue showed up at the IT Security Department wearing a more formal outfit. After having signed the doc.u.ments the day before, she had gone out shopping.

Although she did not have a lot of money, as she had bought clothes twice now, paid the deposit and rental of her flat,, and bought all the miscellaneous items she needed, she still had enough money to pay for her food and bills until she got paid again.

She was not rich any longer, but when she was a world-renowned hacker, she was also living from paycheck to paycheck.

She hated doing anything illegal. Hence, she only took on a few jobs and lived off the money as long as she could, being quite frugal, so she was aware of how to save money.

Today was her first day at work; she could not afford to be depressed.

As she arrived at the IT Security Department, she quickly found the secretary, and here she announced her arrival.

Not sure about what to do, the secretary took her to Manager Mo's office.

Manager Mo was in a meeting when they arrived, so He Lixue was waiting outside. She was seated casually on a chair, looking at the IT Security Department that ran fluently, a bit of excitement bubbled in her c.h.e.s.t again.

The members of the IT Security Department all had their own offices. The IT Security Department took up a whole floor in the building, and they dealt with many things.

The department was very small compared to how big the main office was; however, there were only fifty-three members in the IT Security Department, including herself, Manager Mo, and the secretary.

There was a pleasant atmosphere in the department, everyone who walked around were smiling, and it was clear that they were in a good mood.

After the meeting, Manager Mo came out to fetch He Lixue. "Come with me. I just had a meeting with everyone from the department, so now it is the perfect time to introduce you."

Manager Mo was very immensely polite to He Lixue. He knew she had some unknown relationship with Lu Nanfeng, and from the tone of the former's voice when they were speaking together on the phone, it was clear that he doted on her quite a bit.

Although he was polite to He Lixue, she was also respectful to him. Anyone who treated her well, she would return double.

Manager Mo opened the door to the meeting room and led He Lixue inside. Everyone inside lifted their heads and looked at her puzzledly. Who was this woman that their manager was so polite towards? They knew that Manager Mo was an eccentric person; he would not even give the secretaries at the CEO's office face.

The only people he respected were CEO Lu and sometimes CEO Lu's personal assistant.

So why was he fawning over this woman like this? Everyone was puzzled and looked at the young woman with some confusion.

"This is He Lixue. She is a new member of our IT Security Department," Manager Mo began. "She is young and has no prior work experience. However, she has some amazing skills, and I believe she will do well in the future."

The others were shocked. Manager Mo was stringent and known to be one of the most excellent IT nerds, so for him to praise someone else, just how perverse was her skills?

He Lixue smiled sweetly. She resembled an innocent young woman who knew absolutely nothing, and many of the people narrowed their eyes. Was she really innocent, or was it all an act?

Men dominated the IT Security Department, and most of them found her endearing and adorable. There were two women, one of them seemed cold and unapproachable while the other was gentle and elegant.

He Lixue looked at them and saw disdain and hostility in their eyes. She felt quite puzzled. She was used to seeing through people's emotions, so seeing their dislike for her was quite obvious, but she had done nothing to them, so why would they be like this?

"Little Lixue is only twenty-two," the manager continued, "she will need us to guide her and help her get used to working at Fenghuang Group's headquarters, so I hope all of you will be polite to her and help her out. If nothing else, then for my sake."

"Is she your relative?" the gentle woman asked with a slight smile on her face. She seemed polite, it was as if there were no mean intentions behind the question, but He Lixue instantly knew that she was saying that she had used relationsh.i.p.s to get her position.

"No, she is a talent that I personally found," Manager Mo said while frowning. "In fact, you know her too. She is the young woman who was in a coma for three years. It is truly unimaginable that she was such a computer genius, but it is fortunate for us. If she were still wealthy, she would never work for us."
