Forsaken By Love

Lu Nanfeng was aware that He Huiling was present. He did not pay her any attention, but he could feel her greedy and hungry gaze following his every move. He was feeling disgusted but hid it deeply and continued to deal with the business proposals that were being delivered to him.

He Huiling had hoped that her gaze was so scorching and alluring that Lu Nanfeng would sense it, and take notice of her, but he completely ignored her, making her stomp her feet in annoyance.

She began moving closer and closer to Lu Nanfeng, and when she was at his back, Lu Nanfeng turned around and almost walked into her.

Taking the opportunity, He Huiling pretended that she fell. She imagined a beautiful scene where Lu Nanfeng would catch her in his arms and protect her, but he just crossed his arms over his c.h.e.s.t and looked at her with disdain in his eyes.

He Huiling's eyes widened in shock and fear as she fell backward. She was not being saved by the man in front of her, in fact, and she was surprised.

Why had things not gone according to her expectations? She was an attractive person, and she was willingly throwing herself at him, but he was not willing. What kind of person was he? 

The many people who were observing smirked and laughed lightly. They knew that He Huiling was trying to seduce him, so no one felt any pity for her. 

"Miss, look where you are walking," Lu Nanfeng said casually before stepping next to her and walking away.

He Huiling was unhappy, but she could not do anything about it. She was unable to make Lu Nanfeng notice her, so her only hope was to somehow end up in his bed during the night.

It seemed that she had to bribe the hotel staff.

This was a much riskier action than to make Lu Nanfeng notice her himself. Bribing was illegal, but He Huiling did not care about it. She was willing to do anything to end up with Lu Nanfeng.

The rest of the business gathering went well. No one else caused problems for Lu Nanfeng, and He Huiling was pretending to be a wallflower while she went to contact a manager of the hotel.

She managed to convince him to give her the key card to Lu Nanfeng's room. She had made him believe that any man would want to see a n.a.k.e.d woman the moment they walked into their room.

He Huiling hurried to her room, changed her clothes to some s.e.xy lingerie, and lay down on the bed covers, waiting for Lu Nanfeng to enter the room.

Lu Nanfeng had drunk too much wine that evening, and his head was buzzing. He was still conscious, but he was uncomfortable, and thus he wanted to enter the room and the shower as soon as possible. 

The moment he entered the room, he threw his jacket on a chair and loosened his tie. 

He Huiling said nothing; she just lay down and waited for Lu Nanfeng to find her. 

But he did not even glance at the bed. Instead, he headed straight for the bathroom. He was too uncomfortable even to sense that there was another person present in the room.

He Huiling was bubbling with excitement. He was taking a shower! That meant that he would become n.a.k.e.d soon, and when he came out, he would be unable to hold back when he saw her lying on his bed in her current condition.

She was counting the seconds while Lu Nanfeng was calmly taking a long shower. He felt how his mind sobered up from the warm water that massaged his head, and he began frowning. Something was wrong.

He had not noticed it initially, but now he could sense that something was wrong with the hotel room. The scent of the pungent perfume was everywhere in the room, and it was a female's perfume.

While Lu Nanfeng was in the shower, and He Huiling was alone in the bedroom, she contacted He Lixue. 

She sent her a text message with the hotel room number, and herself on Lu Nanfeng's bed. She was planning on trying to make He Lixue leave Lu Nanfeng of her own accord.

He Lixue received the text message, and her face turned black. She instantly went to the hotel, but when she reached the room, she found that Lu Nanfeng was alone, seated on the bed with a towel around his waist, and a murderous expression on his face.

She looked at him, crossed her arms over her c.h.e.s.t, and sneered.

Did He Huiling really think that she did not trust her man? She had hurried over because she knew that he had been drinking and that He Huiling might use force to be with him. She could not let her cousin r.a.p.e her man.

Lu Nanfeng sensed some movement at the door, and when he saw He Lixue, his face paled, and he looked lost.

"Don't worry," she said when she saw his reaction. "I know you haven't done anything to wrong me, but that bitch He Huiling has really gone too far."

Lu Nanfeng could sense the trust that his woman had in him, and his heart warmed. He smiled and stood up, found some clothes, and went to the bathroom to change into them.

When he came out, he looked as elegant and refined as before, but a bit of annoyance and hostility could be seen above his brows, and his eyes were shrouded in ice.

He Lixue did not need to look twice to know that he was furious. As to what had happened in the room, she was unaware, but she trusted that Lu Nanfeng had done nothing that wronged her, even then, she too was furious.

Who did He Huiling think she was to try and seduce Lu Nanfeng? Lu Nanfeng was a man with an owner; he was not single, so to seduce him, was she publicly saying that she wished to be a mistress?

Since that was the case, then don't blame He Lixue for destroying the reputation she had left.

In fact, He Lixue could not do much as she had left the abyss, but she was unwilling to let go of the He family. Now that Lu Nanfeng was venting for her, she would gladly accept it.
