Fire Dragon Song

Due to busyness he lost track of time so when Yunhuo come back from outside with a large bag of things, he saw his female squatting at the entrance of the cave with exposed arms, neck and collarbone covered with a thin layer of sweat; trying to move the stone. He looked inside the cave with red eyes, filled with both obvious happiness and heartache. Happiness because his home was cleaned up by the female. Heartache because of the female’s hard work.

“Yunhuo, are you done?” Zhao Yunxiao intended to set the cooking place on the left side of the cave entrance, with the wind blowing from the right, so that the smoke would not be blown into the cave when cooking.

Yunhuo took the bag into the warehouse, then his tail curled around Zhao Yunxiao’s body and pulled him up. Then he pulled him onto the stone bed inside the cave and to let him rest, he will do the remaining hard work.

When Yunhuo came back with the prey in his mouth he saw that water was already boiling in front of the cave. He put the prey on the big leaves by the fire and went into the cave to find Yunxiao, just as he walked in, Yunhuo froze. Inside the cave, Yunxiao, with back turned to him, had his upper body naked. Lean shoulder blades, white flesh covered with beads of sweats and two light-colored red fruits on the front he fantasized about. His throat moved as his footsteps lightened and he walked over.

The branch broke again, looking at the branch in his hands that broke one after another, Zhao Yunxiao exhaled helplessly. There was no rope here so there was no way to tie up these branches. “I’m hungry.” Zhao Yunxiao touched his stomach.

Yunhuo’s tail wrapped around Zhao Yunxiao’s waist as he took him outside. When they got out of the cave, Zhao Yunxiao saw the fresh meat and went to clean it while Yunhuo left to pick up some fruits and vegetables that Zhao Yunxiao liked. While Zhao Yunxiao used the claws to split the meat into pieces and cook them up, Yunhuo brought back fruits, wild vegetables and some salt fruits.

“Yunhuo, I want more of this.” Zhao Yunxiao picked up the salt fruit and made a gesture of having a lot. Yunhuo nodded and flew away again, after Yunhuo left Zhao Yunxiao took out the tablet with books from his bag and took a picture of the salt fruit first, then recorded it. He wanted to record everything he saw in this world, perhaps, for those who came after him. Touching his stomach, Zhao Yunxiao felt a bit gloomy. He might not have his own children, so he comforted himself. It was nice that he didn’t have children, otherwise in the present situation when he was in a different world, and Lin Mingyuan cheated on him in his original world the one in the most painful situation would be his child.

“Thank you for your hard work.” Zhao Yunxiao touched Yunhuo’s big head and then used a piece of animal skin to wipe his face. Yunhuo happily rolled his eyes, after wiping his face Zhao Yunxiao patted his side: “Let’s eat.”

Yunhuo sat down beside Yunxiao, and Yunxiao scooped out his share, before resting against Yunhuo side. Drinking broth, Zhao Yunxiao thought that he ate meat either boiled or roasted everyday so now that he had a fixed residence, it was time to try to improve his food.

The two of them ate lunch in a quiet and warm atmosphere before Yunhuo flew to the foot of the mountain, becoming busy again. Zhao Yunxiao continued to clean up, he went to the  warehouse and untied the green animal bag. As soon as the animal skin was spread out, the still wet bones were also spread all over the ground. Then Zhao Yunxiao laboriously dragged the animal skin with the bones out of the cave which had to be blown dry before they could be put back inside. Spreading out the bones so each bone could be blown dry by wind, he went back to pick up the animal skins he selected. There was a grass here that smelled very fresh and nice so Zhao Yunxiao called it vanilla. He liked it put together with other seasonings when cooking soup and preparing barbecue. This kind of grass has small leaves, but it’s fragrance was too strong and uncomfortable to be eaten alone but it was still very suitable as seasoning.

Yunhuo picked up this grass when he picked up herbs that could be eaten for him. Zhao Yunxiao didn’t plan to eat it now but intended to boil it in water to scrub the beast skins to remove any extra odor. After the skin was dried, the smell wasn’t strong. Zhao Yunxiao hit it hard to get rid of all the dust and possible bugs in the skin. After all skins were beaten and the vanilla water was boiled, Zhao Yunxiao began to scrub the skins.
