"Speaking of Lu Yue, She's actually the reason I am here" Ming Meiren said.

"Oh" Lu Xiaolian said surprised.

Lu Yue had stayed back with the rest of the family at the family's Summer resort Manor, so it couldn't be that Lu You had cause any trouble. Lu Yue though a bit spoiled wasn't the troublesome type.

"Yes as you are aware, Lu Yue is now of marriageable age. it's about time we arranged her a match. I spoke with your fatger and we would like you to find out a few good young men for your sister.

As you are aware your father and I spend most of the year outside the capital so we aren't very familiar with members of the younger generation. You can take your time we aren't in much of a hurry. I just hope it wouldn't be much of a bother for you to do this" Ming Meiren said gently.

"of course it isn't much of a bother. Lu Yue is very dear to my heart. Marriage is a lifetime event I will out in my very best" Lu Xiaolian said convincingly.

"Alright then we'll be counting on you" Ming Meiren said.

"yes" Lu Xiaolian said smiling.

After some small talk Ming Meiren left the crown Prince Manor and returned back to Duke Lu's Manor. After she left Lu Xiaolian changed back to her simple clothes and move over to her garden to get some fresh air.

It was summer so as expected the later it got the hotter it became. She had changed into a light cotton simple gown, her hair raised up in a lose bun. She laid on the recliner while Yao Yao stood by the side gently fanning her.

She laid eyes closed, breathing in the sweet scents from the flowers. A short while later she fell into a light sleeper only to be reused by a firm hand giving her a much needed massage.

"That's so good Yao Yao please go a little higher.....yes that's the spots... wow it's so good. Thaks to my pregnancy my joints are always sore. I have always wanted a massage to strengthen them up" She said with content.

"How this do you like that" Zhongshan Huang said moving his hands forward.

"H _Huh" Lu Xiaolian said stiffening and turning around sharply.

"Your highness?! she said shocked.

She totally didn't expect it to be him. He was back earlier than usual.

"What's with the face Xiaolian surprised? Zhongshan Huang walking around to face her.

"Yes,this was unexpected. when did you get back" she said

"I got in a few minutes ago. I didn't want to disturb you so I had everyone quietly leave the room so as not to disturb you" He said taking a seat next to her on the recliner and drawing her deep into his embrace.

"I could stay like this forever. Just holding you in my hands without a single care in the world" he said kissing her softly on her forehead.

"me too" She whispered softly.

"How was your day? he said into her silky black hair.

"Good, I'm almost done transcribing the old texts. oh and mother paid me a visit" she replied resting her head on his shoulder and looking up at him.

"That's surprising I thought she was with your father at the northern borders" he said.

"My eldest cousin's wedding is right around the corner. She came back to help with the preparation"

"oh that's right she engaged to Judicial councilor Yang's heir right"

"Yes she is the wedding date has already been set for a month and half from now. By then my father and uncles would be back in the capital"

"This is a good news. I'll have Steward Liu send over some gifts to be added to her dowry"

"There's no need for that's Huang'er I already has some gift prepared to be sent over"

"Then you won't mind adding them into your gift set. When we got married your family also became mine. As such I should also give her something personally"

"There still won't be necessary"

"No no Xiaolan I insists" he said holding her gaze and gently placing his hands on hers

"Alright let to that" She said finally giving in.

"that's much better. I will let him get on with it immediately" he said smiling cheerfully.

'why do I feel like I have been played. Did I give in too easily? Lu Xiaolian thought watching him carefully.

"That couldn't possibly be the only reason why she paid you a sudden visit need or could it? he asked confused.

"Oh, then what brought her over"

"Really, That's wonderful news. Could you please find out if he would have some free time tomorrow evening to come over and join us for dinner tomorrow night. That way I can pick his brain about that"

"He should have some free time. since he cheerfully informed me today that he had closed all his pending cases down at the ministry of Justice"

"oh then I will inform the kitchen to prepare some more food and have Steward Liu get everything set"
