....The next day, the Crown Prince Manor.

"Madam Lin has been escorted to the west courtyard" Xu min whispered to Xu Mingzhu as the Imperial physician checked her pulse.

A few minutes later the imperial physician withdrew his hands and bowed facing her.

"What did you find out. I have been feeling weak of late so I decided to call you to check my pulse" Xu Mingzhu said

"Answering your highness, you are just stressed and need some rest I will write a prescription for you" The Imperial physician replied.

"are you sure that I am not expecting" Xu Mingzhu said.

" As I said before your w.o.m.b is too cold your highness. I fear that it would be difficult to get pregnant but not impossible if you follow the prescription you are bound to be with child in a few months" The Imperial physician replied gently.

"Hmm isn't there a faster method of doing this I can't wait any longer" Xu Mingzhu said placing her hands on her stomach.

"There is no other faster method than this except you try the needle fertility treatment but it's highly risky and painful" the imperial physician replied softly.

"That's not yet an option, you may leave Someone there see the Imperial physician off" Xu Mingzhu said.

"Yes your highness, this way my Lord" A maid said seeing the imperial physician off.

"You are dismissed" Xu Mingzhu said.

"Yes your highness" the maids chorused and walked out of the room.

A few minutes later Xu Mingzhu stood and walked into her private rooms.

"Don't be sad your highness, you are still young. You will definitely give the Crown Prince an heir" Xu min and consoling her mistress.

"I don't know what else to do. I must provide his highness with an heir that's the only way to retain my position. Father has already threatened to leave me my own devices, even now his trying to arrange a marriage between the first prince and Yanyu. I wasn't the Emperor and Empress first choice of wife for the crown prince, if I can't give the Crown Prince an heir I could lose my position" Xu Mingzhu replied.

"Master wouldn't let that happen after all the crown Prince has more merits than the first prince" Xu min said.

"His highness may have more merits than the first prince but that wouldn't matter if I lost my position" Xu Mingzhu said when a servant suddenly announced that her mother was here to see her.

Xu Mingzhu stood and putting her clothes in order walked into her greeting room. Her mother was already seated.

"Mingzhu greets Mother" Xu Mingzhu said.

"I am well, how is father ? Xu Mingzhu said

"Your father is well. I am actually here to personally deliver Yanyu's and the first prince wedding invitation" Madam Xu replied placing the red coloured invitation on the table.

"I guess a date has been set, that is good I will present it to his highness" Xu Mingzhu said.

"That good, it would be good if his highness attends the wedding with you. It would help sway your father to our side This is a union I was very much against but that Bi*ch had already planned everything there was nothing I could do. Your father was already blinded by her words" Madam Xu replied.

"Yes mother" Xu Mingzhu said.

"Now what is this I heard of the Crown Prince bringing a brothel woman home" Madam Xu said.

"I have the matter under control" Xu Mingzhu replied.

Xu Mingzhu wasn't surprised at her mother's statements, she was already surprised that her mother hadn't started with that. This was another reason why she needed a child so desperately even Jang Suyin had already given had already given his highness a child even though it wasn't an heir.

"You and your brother keep giving me a hard time, You had better perform your duties sooner than later. I will see myself off" Madam Xu said and walked out of the room

The West courtyard.

"Madam, the crown princess consort is here" Biqu said.

"As a expected, I better not keep her waiting" Lady Six replied and standing she places her veil on her nose and tied it behind her.

"Greetings your highness" Lady said.

"Do rise" Xu Mingzhu replied from the master's seat.

"Many thanks your highness" Lady Six replied

"I wanted to check how you are doing. I fear that we couldn't get acquainted last night hence I decided to pay you a visit. I trust that you are like your residence" Xu Mingzhu said

"Yes I do, many thanks to your highness for making the arrangements" Lady Six replied.

"Mei mei seems like a smart girl so I will be direct. His highness may have brought you back from the brothel but I am the his highness Princess Consort and the head of the Haram. It would do well if you know your place and never overstep. We have rules and you will have to follow euch and everyone if them no exclusion" Xu Mingzhu said.

"Yes your highness" Lady Six replied.

"Good I took the liberty of having someone copy out the rules. Xu min" Xu Mingzhu said as Xu min handed the house rules over to lady Six.

"Her highness really lived up to expectations Biqu. I haven't been long enough but her highness is already threatened by me." Lady Six said smiling.

"Your right, I heard from the servant that crown princess consort is under a lot of pressure to provide an heir especially now that one of the Madam's are pregnant" Biqu replied.

"really, i doubt she's the only one curious about me, I have a feeling that the west courtyard is going to be very active" Lady Six said smiling widely.
