Chapter 16

The orangey-reddish glow collided with the white barrier, the protective shield shattered immediately and burst into the air like burning sand with light.

Wen Zhi thought she was going to be dead, but to her surprise, the magic attack passed through her body and her blood level remained at just a bar away from being emptied or maybe even increased slightly.

“Xiao ZhiShui, do be more focus ah.” XiaoZhangErShao grumbled from the aside.

“Wow, the Great God had healed you so timely.” ZhanYuRuChao watched the whole process clearly from the corner.

With Wen Zhi’s skilful operation, no one would expect her to be distracted.

Several times when they saw that Kiris’s attack was about to hit her, she had dodged at the critical moment, moving swiftly and beautifully.

This time she should have done the same, expecting her to dodge that for sure but instead, she froze.

XiaoKanRenSheng had been adding a protective shield to his teammate during the attack magic cooldown time, and occasionally healing them too. This time was just a coincidence that the protective shield was added and he didn’t expect to somehow save Wen Zhi.

However, what really saved Wen Zhi was not only the protective shield that was added by coincidence, yet it was that healing skill that Gu Xian had cast in the nick of time.

The ball of fire swept skyward and hit Kiris a few moments later, glowing with a searing brightness.

The ultimate skill cast by Gu Xian depleted the last of Kiris’s health.

The huge flaming body plummeted to the ground on its knees, his paled face glanced toward XiaoKanRenSheng.

He flashed a faint smile as if to bid goodbye to him.

Within moments, Kiris’s body was reduced into a ball of flame. A translucent, pale light floated out of it and swam to the five party members.

Wen Zhi saw the bits of lights collected into her bag and then the quest bar showed [The soul of Kiris collection is completed.]

At the same time the system announcement lit up:

[Congratulation to players: Gu Xian, XiaoZhangErShao, XinRuZhiShui, XiaoKanRenSheng, for completing the first kill in the world server for Kiris! Rewards: 1000 gold coins, 100 reputations, and the title (Pei Ji Tai Lai1).]

The system announcement was announced three times and the world chat channel instantly exploded with comments:

XiXiAiShangLeHaHa2: How come it’s you guys again, dear great gods, you’re all on a rocket! Slow down a bit and wait for us.

FangKaiNaDaMa3: We just died from the HuoLaYao dungeon, how come you guys had the first kill in the new dungeon again.

XianSheWeiJing4: You guys are having a blast killing and levelling ah.

LouZherErMaQuBengDi5: How are you guys doing with the sex quests, are you all enjoying it?

XianSheWeiJing: Not only was it fun, the levelling was fast too. One of our party members is already level 15.

PianZhiChuanQi6: Holy sh*t, no way, that fast? I’ve picked the wrong route!

…………

Seeing the world chat channel, Wen Zhi felt astonished. Their party had the first kill and cleared the dungeon yet their highest was just level 12, whereas doing the sex quests route, surprisingly some had reached level 15.

It looks like it’s easier to level up via that route.

“Phew, that was a close call, we almost die.” XiaoKanRenSheng breathed a sigh of relief.

“I didn’t expect the Great God to learn healing skills.” ZhanYiRuChao stated: “That is very surprising, I thought the Great God was going to aim for a pure offensive magic build.”

Upon hearing this, Wen Zhi turned her gaze to look at Gu Xian.

She knew that the profession of Mage also could practice healing magic, but the normal player would certainly not waste any skill points in learning such a ribald skill. It was better to learn other supportive magic or offensive magic than healing skills as it consume the mana and was a waste of skills points.

Yet Gu Xian had learned it. Did he want to become a Ritualist later on, but that will greatly weaken the Mage’s attacking power.

After learning to heal, you can only become a supportive Mage, which was very unpopular.

Gu Xian had also played Mage profession in Heavenly Dream, but he was purely offensive, domineering, and fierce.

This was out of his character to change to a semi-supporting profession.

“Yeah, he learned it and was planning to upgrade it to level two.” XiaoZhangErShao explained with a grunt: “So that he could clear the dungeon with some specific person alone. Unfortunately, that person didn’t even join in to play, or they might have joined, but refused to let us know.”

Wen Zhi’s heart quivered at his explanation.

In the Heavenly Dream, she played as a Rogue which was also a physical offensive profession. However, because she and Gu Xian were both pure damagers, they had to bring along a healer with them when they went to the dungeon.

There was once she joked that it would be nice if one of them know how to heal so that the two of them could enter the dungeon alone.

She just said that casually but he took it to heart and remember it.

This brother was really so wonderful and trustworthy.

At this moment, Wen Zhi felt the urge to crawl back into her mother’s womb and change her gender.
