While they were waiting, they can hear an explosion around the area but the police officer said that there is no need to be worried as some insurgents are being taken care of properly. " There is no mistake, you can confirm the news later on. This area is far away that it is safe to consider this still a safe zone, so I ask for your cooperation to remain calm."

A police siren caught the attention. of everyone, a police car escorted by multiple police transport was driving towards them. Judging by the rank insignia one of the men was wearing, he should be the liaison officer sent from the Headquarters. The news he carries is much more important than the orders given by a mere policeman.

"Listen up everyone, what this policeman had said is true. Anyone who causes a ruckus will be deemed a part of the insurgent and be executed on sight. As long as you don't arouse suspicion, everything will be all right."'

The citizens were again dumbfounded by what they had just heard, what the policeman had just said was true. They were now ashamed by their own judgment. How could they face others now?

"Now, I would like those who are involved in the car accident to get in the police car. Please cooperate and don't resist."

Seeing all the combat police officers pointing their weapons towards the young lady and her bodyguards shocked them. They weren't joking around.

'They dare to point their weapon against me? Fine, I'll play along and see how you react later on. Considering the danger near us, I'll take it for granted as it's a ticket to safety, anyway.'

When one of the police officers was about to drag Hector, the policeman who was on the scene earlier stopped him.

"Philip Ruiz, what do you think, you are doing?" asked the constable who was leading the detain team.

"I'm following orders given by the new Commissioner," replied Philip with a serious face.

"Haha, you a policeman received a personal order from the Commissioner? Don't give me that crap."

As secret police, Hector can't reveal his identity in the public so he had to act along with the situation until he can.

"It's fine, just bring me along."

"Young man, you don't have to do this. I can vouch for you."

"Since you claim that you received an order from the Commissioner, surely you can verify it and let me talk to him for a while, right?"

"Of Course." said one of the constable's underling.

'The Police Commissioner was recently elected and known for his seriousness in dealing corruption like you guys. I can't wait for how you will make fun of yourself.' (Constable Myles)

"That's enough bickering."

"Fine, whatever you say, Lead Constable Daniel."

Seeing the team leader of Philip came in forced Myles to end his little game. While they were at the same rank, Philip's team leader, Daniel was appointed as the leading Constable.

"Philip, come with me to meet the Inspector."

Hector was left out alone while everyone else was being taken to police transportation. The Inspector, Daniel, validated the order with his Chief Inspector.

"What do you guys think about it?"

"I think he is a good man judging how he doesn't act anything arrogant and wears simple clothing."

"Just let him go then, our new Commissioner doesn't like made-up stories anyway. Even if that man is part of the accident, we can catch him later on."

Constable Daniel and Policeman Philip walked towards Hector with a friendly face and gesture.

"Young man, your name has been cleared and you are free to go."

"I'll be leaving then. Good luck with your work officers."

Seeing the way Hector reacted impressed both Daniel and Philip.

'Such a fine young man is rare these days. I guess our assumption isn't wrong.'

Hector continued to walk towards the coffee shop. Thankfully, he was in time as all his friends have just started to go inside the shop. His childhood female friends, Xue Fang Niu and Madoka Ozaki went towards him and greeted him. Back in his early school days, Hector was deemed weak by the others and was often bullied by the male students, especially by the rich ones. He acted along and consider it as a training for his body endurance. Only his parents knew that they were lucky that Hector didn't get mad. How could some random rich kids be compared to Hector, the sole candidate to the Chairman of the International Security Bureau? They would understand their mistakes and get their payback in the future.

Both Xue Fang Niu and Madoka Ozaki were m.a.t.u.r.e women in their 20s. They dressed and act properly like a lady. It was thanks to their family's strict discipline that they are able to stand against the globalization that had changed many people's lifestyle these days. But, they were unable to do that in front of Hector. During their childhood days, they were best friends along with a few others who went to other nations and kingdoms to pursue a better education. Since then, the three were alone together for several years. The boys who weren't close to Hector were jealous of Hector, how could he have all their attention? To their knowledge, he was not rich nor talented in anything, which is much to Hector's satisfaction.

"Hector, what brings you here, you didn't come to the last reunion?" asked one of the male student.

"Yeah, I thought you found a good job already."

"Is there a problem with visiting my friends?"

"Not really, suit yourself."

Hector never left any chance for the males to rebut his statements. Besides using their background as an advantage in today's society, they can't do much.

'Her mom is a former military soldier, right? I'll get my father to dishonor her discharge.'

The two boys went to the toilet and called their father, who is currently serving as a Military Marshal Commander and Police Inspector General. Their social welfare is large enough to control nearly half of the province's economy. Inviting the NSB into their party, no leaks have ever gone out.

"Hey Dad, a weakling is courting the ladies. Mind if you send some men to teach him a lesson?"

The two boys used the excuse of family meetings to leave their reunion. Since they were elites, the others didn't mind as their job was vital to the kingdom. They got in a luxurious Mercedes car, escorted by several bodyguards.

With the nuisance gone, Hector continued to talk with his childhood friends and drank the latte coffee that had been previously ordered. They began reminiscing the stupid moments they had together including some embarrassing ones. There were only the three of them right now as the others were still stuck with their job.

"So what do you girls work as?"

"We both write novels about fantasy mostly. What about you?"

"Me? I work as an administrative officer."

"Not bad, you managed to land on some decent jobs."

"Yeah, I thought I was going to get denied."

"Even if you get denied, you still have us."

"Well, what do you think we should do now?"

"Maybe let's watch a horror movie, I want to see Hector's childish scared face."

"Hahaha."

The last time they sneaked in to watch a horror movie when they were still a teenager, Hector was so scared that he cried and pee in his pants before the two girls comforted him. When they got back home, their parents couldn't believe what they heard and laughed in unison. Their families weren't that close to begin with, but due to their child's friendship, the parents also became friends eventually. The girls' parents didn't bother with Hector's attitude as they respected him. It was much better than your common military soldiers who went insanely mad after joining the military. The stress level is very high and not everyone can bear it. As an introvert, Hector was shy to talk out his feelings, even to his parents, but to the girls, he could freely express his feelings.
