Executor Of Justice

Chapter 13 - Joining the Security Bureau

The next day, the Holy Warriors found themselves locked inside a standard room. They were previously sleeping on 4 comfortable beds with ACs on. They tried to open the door by force, but it didn't work out.

[Nullfying attack...

You can't damage your ally's property unless granted permission]

"Who owns this door, anyway? Let us out!"

"You Could have asked first before smashing the door."

Hector walked into the room with his off-duty uniform with no weapon. The white cloth and black pants gave a clue to the youngster on Hector's identity.

"You Are an agent of the International Security Bureau?"

" What? You thought I was just a special police force officer, right?"

"That… Where are we, anyway? The scenery doesn't look like it's even part of the Republic anymore"

" We're in the Kingdom of Angelus, no part of the Republic is deemed safe anymore by the Overseer Council. Anyway, I'm here to train you guys. I'm sure you have experienced what it feels like to be weak. Do you still want to be weak forever?"

"No. I don't!"

"Good, now I have prepared some contract doc.u.ments for you to sign. If you sign this, you'll officially be part of the International Security Bureau under my command."

"Is This Real? I heard that the requirements are tough," said Sonoka. Being the daughter of a police officer, she has heard how exceptional each agent of the International Security Bureau is. None of them are to be underestimated.

There was once a huge case that occurred in her hometown, Caesar Kingdom. The whole provincial police department was involved in heavy drug trafficking and used innocent people as scapegoats. An agent of the International Security Bureau soon dug the fact and found the truth, forcing the local police to frame him up. Most of them, however, ended up dead by his shooting skills and the whole building was soon surrounded by the Kingdom's Military Police. They shot many police and criminal leaders dead under the order of the Military Police Commander because of the seriousness of the situation. The remaining hostile forces eventually surrendered to the Military Police as their escape routes were all blocked. The local Duke then ordered the execution of the traitors of the Empire to appeal the King's anger and saving his reputation.

"Shouldn't we inform our parents about this first? They should already be in a panic since we haven't told our condition in the past few days," said Ning Hsia because his mother is overprotective towards him.

"No, we have already informed your parents about your condition. You are free to make your own decision now."

"Will We receive special treatments? " asked Samantha Banks. Being the child of a Video Game Designer, she has heard of such an occurrence where special people are treated differently.

" Such perks exist. You can find them all on the doc.u.ment."

There were more benefits written than they can imagine. No wonder the corruption within the military and police force went down these days, who wouldn't want to receive a promotion to the International Security Bureau?

Signing the doc.u.ment with a quality pen, they sealed the deal. They might not help him much now, but as their power grows, it will be beneficial for Hector to help him in governing any of the bad officers.

"What do you want us to do ?"

"It won't be quiet confidential saying it here. Remember, don't talk about your ability with anyone else, not even your friends or family. Got it? Now follow me."

Seeing them nod their heads like obedient kids, Hector started to reminiscence his old life. To keep the family name standing, he wasn't allowed to enjoy anything luxurious, but his simple life is more than enough to satisfy a beggar's dream. Not everyone could have a loving family and be financially strong to fulfill their needs.

The youngers followed Hector as he leads them to a large blue-tiled room. This was an unused room Hector requested to be renovated for special purposes. The room is based on a sci-fi game's training room Hector used to play. There is both a manual and auto control to add digitalized physic objects, making everything you see both physically and digitally real. The cost was very high and Hector had even contacted his mother to lend him some money.

"Now, this may seem spooky, but the only way to level up faster is to face your fear and have unwavering faith in the presence of your enemy. "

Hector then explains to them the currency, store and equipment knowledge. There might abandon him since they have discovered the truth, but Hector didn't care as he was sure there was more Warrior of Gods worldwide that he could convince to join his force. Ning Hsia was the only one that didn't seem to enjoy this so Hector invited him for a personal chat.

"I assume the only reason you're joining is that there's not much better option?"

"Yeah, who in their right mind would want to face those scary demons and possibly die? I don't want to die yet, I'm sorry," replied Ning Hsia as he put both hands on each side of his head.

Hector sighed as he looked towards him. It's not like Ning Hsia could stay in the team for a long time. Such a pity, but it was better to let him go then causing troubles later on. For a demon to turn into an angel, then there must also be a possibility of the opposite happening to as well. Eliminating a former comrade-in-arms is much harder than someone you don't know. Hector won't have a problem with this since he's been trained only loyal to the cause but the others might quarrel and cause internal fights.

The problem was that finding demons was hard. They don't engage in battles in the middle of the public; they strike using an unorthodox method. The good news for them is that there is a monster zone nearby in the Kingdom of Angelus.

A monster zone is a zone that may have previously been populated by humans but breached by a monster's attack and deemed no longer safe for civilians to live on. Non-Military Personnel is restricted from entering such areas, termination is also granted for any violators to prevent a larger breach scale. They divide the Monster Zone into 3 sub-zones, starting from the Outer Zone, the Inner Zone, and the Core Zone. Like an animal pyramid food chain, the closer a zone is to the center of the zone, the harsher the environment is and only the strongest monster gets to live there.

As an International Security Bureau Agent, Hector has full access to such military designated areas. Upon asking permission from Bureau Chief Drake for leave, he was told that his task force squad is fully under his command now. This was the decision of the Overseer Council after seeing his brilliant performance on both missions he has recently taken part in.

At approximately 9 AM, Hector gathered all his men at the grass field to brief them up on their next training session. He was wearing the black full bodysuit armor his mother gave that. There were only 13 of them worldwide. Legends have it said that the wearers of the armor are chosen by God personally and are uncontrollable by mankind. This matter is only known to a few people because publicly announcing it will make it easier for the demon to locate and destroy it.

They were all standing shoulder-to-shoulder in front of him, including the new agents.

"Captain Pavo should have already mentioned to you about our training. We'll be going down to the local monster zone to enhance your skills in dealing with monsters. I know that this skill isn't necessary as it is not our main purpose, but it will be useful in unforeseen situations. The danger will be high, so if you're not brave enough, step out of the line now."

He waited a few seconds to confirm their decision before continuing his speech. Thanks to the advanced cooling system implemented in the bodysuits, barely anyone was tired at this moment.

"All right, if there are no questions, we'll start boarding the helicopter. Left-hand takes the helicopter on the left while the right takes the one on the right. Let's go !"

The soldiers walked towards the combat helicopter and took a seat. The pilots are temporarily recruited from the Task Force Air Division. Knowing that they will get a dangerous mission, they signed up for this. The veterans love to fight; they do like peace but who doesn't love to quarrel?

The landing pad was made of concrete steel to better facilitate the sci-fi combat helicopter needs of smoother landing. It wasn't much of a big deal for modern air vehicles as they just need a few modifications before being ready for the job. The helicopter soon took off after requesting permission from the military base.

{This is ICH J10 requesting permission to leave the base, transmitting clearance codes now…}

{We've got your codes, you're clear for departure, have a safe flight.}

The engine was soon turned on and the combat helicopter began hovering up to the sky. The loud buzzing sound can be heard only for a while before the stealth motors were activated. The waste desert soon came into view, there was nothing but monsters, monsters that fight each other to the death in hopes of gaining recognition of the females and reaching a higher power level. Civilizations don't exist out here, some humans managed to gain the respect of the monsters, but that's only because they have the power to do so. The law of nature is the only constitution of these zones.

The helicopter soon began landing at a military outpost landing pad. Besides the standardized defense installation, there is nothing to be taken notice of. All Kingdoms and Nations are required to have outposts that cover each area to be able to predict and repel any monster attack following the declaration by the International Security Bureau.

Many imperial soldiers equipped with a standard modern rifle and modern bodysuit are guarding the outpost and manning any turrets available to use. It is not overkilled that such defense conditions are in place here, you can never know when the monster might strike and it might be too late to do anything.

An Imperial Soldier with the rank of Regiment Commander, serving as the Outpost Commander greeted Hector's team with respect. You can never be careful with what the other person is thinking so Hector took no chance and began analyzing him.

[Activated Skill : Identify]

[Name: Joseph T. Hensen

Rank: Regiment Commander (Imperial Army)

Gender: Male

Description :

185 cm, 80 kg

White American]

"Greetings Agents of the Security Bureau. I am the Outpost Commander, Regimental Commander Joseph. If there's anything you need, feel free to contact my adjutant, Captain Reynaldo. We are detecting a light monster wave, so please don't panic when the siren goes off"

Monster waves are categorized into different levels: recon wave, lightwave, heavy wave, maximum wave, and death wave. Typically waves are led by a higher ranking monster. Recon wave is usually led by an Elite Monster, LightWave by a Lord Monster and so on. According to the researchers, there are numerous reasons why they do this. Some do it to survive, some do it to prove their dominance and some do it for their entertainment. High Ranking Monsters starting from the Lord grade has proven themself to be a worthy adversary to mankind. They can conduct strategic battles and wars, which they have proven themselves. An entire republic nation was said to have collapsed after being surprise attacked by a monster army. That caused the government and security bureau great shock and thus began the use of outpost worldwide.

"We're on a wild training mission, would you mind giving us a zone?"

Hector's question gave two ambiguous choices. Accepting his request would mean giving chance for monsters to break loose while denying it would result in losing credibility with the International Security Bureau.

"Don't worry about the possible risk, I've just requested a few more task force to join the hunt."

"In that case, I'll gladly take the offer. Captain Reynaldo, inform Brevet Battalion Commander Ethelyn Lauritsen to recall her men in the wild and to be on defensive stations. The Security Bureau and Task Force will be taking over the Northern Outpost offense."

*Brevet is an honorary rank for one's great feat on a battle or war

"Yes, Sir!"

The captain then gave a military salute before leaving the scene to head for the communication department. While futuristic communication means in holo forms have already existed by this age, the military-grade communication array is still much more secure as it has been proven very difficult to breach unless one is a top expert. Even then, auto-backup and deletion will be done once a breach is imminent.

"Now gentlemen, while we wait for the verification, let me show you your temporary bunks."

"Thank you for your hospitality."

"Haha, don't shake it, all guests are respected here. Even the smallest ones are a crouching tiger. It's better to make friends than enemies. Am I right, Special Agent?"

"You sure are knowledgeable, old man."

"*Sigh*, this old body of mine will exhaust itself one day. I don't wish the young ones to quarrel over unnecessary matters."

Inside the inner military base, the natural power generator allows normal living conditions. The price may not be cheap yet, but it can be considered affordable as it is very effective at expanding territory in the danger zones. The outpost base did meet the standards, it was like a modern branch headquarters.

"You can take your helmets off now."

Three imperial soldiers walked towards the Imperial Regiment Commander and whispered something to him. The Commanded nodded his head before continuing his sentence.

"Forgive my rudeness, comrades. But I have a meeting to attend. Lieutenant Brigette Traina will be showing you around the outpost. While for the ISB Agents…"

"It's all right, we're not here to monitor your actions, we'll join them."

"I thank your consideration. I'll be leaving now."

The imperial soldiers gave a military salute as Regimental Commander Joseph walked towards the meeting room.
