“Here! It’s Dana’s room!” Dana exclaimed.

As soon as I changed my clothes, I went around holding Diana’s hand saying she would show me around the castle and finally arrived at Diana’s room.

But it wasn’t the concept of a room I knew.

The bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room were all connected, and there was even a playroom and a small drawing-room.

One wall was full of children’s books, and there were mountains of dolls and toys piled up.

Most of all, from the furniture to the small details, everything was luxurious and beautiful.

It was the first time in my life to be in a space filled with such pretty things, so my mouth went agape.

Although I have infiltrated noble mansions several times, most of my duties in missions have left me busy searching for secret spaces in the dark.

Besides, there was no instance for me to sneak into the room of such a young noble lady, so it felt like I was in a different world.

“Sister, come here!”

Diana climbed onto the bed and pressed me to the seat next to her.

As I approached carefully, looking at the servants watching from the side, Diana held out a fairy tale book on the bedside table.

“Read please! Princess!”

From the bright shout, I could see that it was a fairy tale book with a princess that Diana had been talking about at the orphanage.

At that time, a maid seemed to be trying to dissuade the young lady from asking me a difficult favour.

But I thought the opportunity had finally come.

‘If I knew how to read, I might keep serving Diana.’

If I was going to stay in the Duke’s Castle, I wanted to stay with Diana even a little longer.

It was when I grabbed the fairy tale book with a luxurious cover depicting a joyful princess in a pink dress.

“Diana.”

“Mom!”

The Duchess came in through the door and saw Diana coming out with a soft expression on her face.

“Are you going to read a book?”

“Uhm! The princess will read her book!’

“Well, I’m sorry, but your princess seems to have to go somewhere with mother for a while. Can I read the book after that?”

Suddenly realizing that I was on Diana’s bed, I quickly left the book and came down to the floor.

‘I haven’t been able to show my usefulness yet.’

I was anxious because I thought there was already a place assigned for me.

As I wiggled my fingers and looked around, the Duchess gestured to me to come out.

“I’m coming too!”  I calmed Diana, who was trying to catch up and follow us and then went out into the hallway.

Where are they taking me? Are you going to separate me from Diana this way?

Anxiety and nervousness were evident in my young body. I unconsciously brought my finger to my mouth.

It was then…

“You don’t have to worry.”

The Duchess, who gently held my hand as if holding me back from biting my nails, led me to a room.

I was startled to see a woman in pure white clothes standing inside.

‘Healer…?’

The Duchess, who saw me puzzled, said with small laughter.

“Count Marietta even sent me a letter. Saying, ‘Please heal the scars on the child’s body.”

At those words, as we separated at the inn I remembered Bianca, who had repeatedly asked the Duke of Elrad to call a priest over and over again.

The Duke was annoyed with Bianca but promised to do so, so I expected that I might be able to meet a priest at least once during my stay in the castle.

‘But it’s been just a few hours since we arrived…’

Besides, we weren’t visiting the temple, but the priest came in person.

“Oh, is this the child?”

“Yes. Take good care of her.”

The Duchess led me behind a partition on the corner of the room.

“Take off your clothes here and change into a gown.”

Then she stepped out of the partition so I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.

She seemed to think that I would be reluctant to show the scars on my body.

Besides, men are more common when it comes to priests, but seeing that they dared to call a female priest, it seemed like they were considerate of me, a commoner girl, even though I was young.

From Bianca to the Duchess…

I did not know what to do with the warm consideration and kindness I had never felt in my past life.

When the thought crossed my mind that all this was because I didn’t turn a blind eye to Diana, I regretted my actions in the past even more.

‘I have to do better in the future.’

With that determination in my heart, I quickly changed my clothes and approached the priest who was waiting for me and carefully knelt down.

I’ve never been treated by a priest, but I’ve seen them do it this way when I sometimes visit the temple to gather information.

Seeing me nervous, the priest smiled and put her hand on my forehead.

Soon a warm light burst out from her hand.

“…?”

I closed my eyes and was full of excitement, expecting my body to be cleansed, but I heard a strange sound.
