Everyone Is Saying That I’m Helping Others Teach Their Boyfriend

Chapter 1: Envy

Compared with the dormitories of other universities in China, the dormitories of  Z university are clean and organized. With a room for four, a bed, a table, a separate bathroom, and a balcony, it is almost what makes the students from other universities green with envy. 

As a sophomore majoring in international economy and trade at Z University, the level of people being envious of Chang Chuansi was no less than those who envy her school’s dormitory.

That’s because her boyfriend Chu Hao, is Z University’s school hunk. The one that is chosen by votes of thousands of girls on the school’s forum.

One weekend in March, in the girls’ dormitory, four people were doing their own things.　

　

Xu Jiu, who was lying on the bed, suddenly hammered the bed board below and angrily said, “These people, why are they speaking ill of others behind their backs again?”

Her skin is fair, her looks are a bit plain, but her eyes are beautiful. Put her south of a group of beautiful women 3and her looks can be as ordinary as it is.

The owner of the Japanese cuisine restaurant, Boss Chen, was dizzy by waves of flattery. He couldn’t hide his smile and said proudly, “Of course, I have gone to Japan to study with famous chefs.”

Chang Chuansi immediately chimed along, her expression still genuine, sighing, “You [formal] sure are amazing. I have heard that the more famous a Japanese chef is, the stricter they are. “

“Then your restaurant not being known by others is really their loss to miss these kinds of delicacies…. “

Seeing how Chang Chuansi had been regarded as a buddy by the owner and even went to the kitchen personally within half an hour after entering the store, Sun Qiang, the director of the External Relations Department, and several other staff members were all quite impressed.

They went to the other two restaurants and the External Relations Department team was able to hit the targeted amount of funding.

The conference room was full of chaotic voices. People who knew each other chatted while waiting for the arrival of others in the Student Council communities.

Sun Qiang took the whole External Relations Department team to sit on the right side of the conference table and chatted with the President of the Sports Department sitting beside him.

The Student Council president is a tall and skinny guy from the law school wearing thick lenses. When he came, he also chatted with the organization department.

The Student Council president turned his head, took a glance at the door, and jokingly said, “Our school hunk has arrived.”

His thin lips under the bridge of his nose raised and echoed a few words from time to time. With his good looks, adding to the fact that he is very intelligent as he is a top student of computer science and technology major. He is also the Vice-President of the Student Council. All these identities added up had captured many young girls’ hearts.　　

Chang Chaunsi’s gaze fell on Chu Hao’s face, then to his slender fingers for a moment and looked away. Sure enough, Cheng Kexia of the Etiquette Department is staring so intently at him. Other girls also looked at him from time to time, as if they were attracted by a magnet.

As the sky grew darker, more than an hour of checking, arrangements and discussions, the meeting finally came to an end. Everyone packed their bags and got up to leave.

　　

Chu Hao stood up and walk towards the direction of Chang Chuansi’s seat.

“You are secretly writing your major’s homework assignment during the meeting again.” Chu Hao had a matter-of-fact tone. It was obvious that this was not something that happened just once or twice. He extended his hand to help close her notebook on the table, and put it into Chang Chuansi’s bag.

　　

Chang Chuansi put her pencil into the bag, zipped up the zipper, with a happy smile on her face: “Well, as long as we, the External Relations Department was able to get some sponsorship back, reporting is the department president’s duties. Everyone else is just listening, there wouldn’t be any impact if I do any other things. Just pretend you didn’t see it, Vice-President.”

　　

Chu Hao took her bag, his eyes also filled with a smile, “I can’t refute that. Are you hungry?”

　　

Chang Chuansi shook her head, “I ate this entire afternoon, our External Relations Department went out to talk about sponsorship and for each sponsors’ restaurant we went into, we would eat a meal.”

“I haven’t eaten dinner yet, accompany me to eat some.” Chu Hao pulled her up, didn’t let go of her hand and just dragged her out with him.

Footnotes

一朵鲜花插到牛粪上yī duǒ xiān huā chā dao niú fèn shan: Literal translation is ‘a fresh/beautiful flower stuck onto/put onto cow dung/poop’. . Basically saying that Chang Chuansi is like poop/insignificant/not as good looking. And a beautiful flower (Chu Hao) got stuck with her.

 

前人栽树后人乘凉qián rén zāi shù, hòu rén chéng liáng :Literal translation is “the predecessor plants the tree and the successor sit in the shade”. This is an idiom that means to enjoy the benefits of the hard work of one’s predecessors. Usually used in relationships. How exes usually are the ones who taught you something that your current partner would enjoy the benefits/their teachings. So in this case, Chang Chuansi is the predecessor who plants the tree[train the bf] for the successor to sit in the shade[enjoy the benefits] . 美女如云Měinǚ rú yún: Literal translation is “Women beautiful as clouds”. This describes a group of beautiful women who are numerous and beautiful, just like the clouds in the sky. 酒香不怕巷子深jiǔxiāngbùpàxiàngzishēn: This is a Chinese idiom that literally means “fragrant wine fears no dark alley”. Basically, quality goods do not need any advertising to know that it’s good and whatnot.  金主爸爸jīnzhǔ bàba: Literal translation is Gold master daddy. 金主 is financial backer/bankroller, and 爸爸 is father/dad. This is just Chinese slang for sponsors, the sponsor is not necessarily a ‘male’… Though at times, it can also be referred to as a sugar daddy.  Basically, the sponsor seemed more amiable now. Kame: Basically he exerts a very cool/cold but very polite aura…that the girls are all swooning for/fangirling over him.
