Enforcers

Chapter -5 - Explaining Battle Potential/Power Levels In Enforcers

'This is an Auxiliary Chapter, that will go into greater detail about facts on things such as Battle Potential also known as Power Levels that are present in the story. It will go over several facts some of which are discussed throughout volume two. Therefore it is recommended you read this only if you have caught up to the story or at the very least have finished chapter 93. You could risk major spoilers if you have not caught up to the current plot.'

'Enforcers is at its heart a Shonen story. Full of action. Full of comedy. Full of adventure. And of course, it is full of over the top superpowers. Like every Shonen series Power Levels are a massive part of this story. In this chapter, I will be going over my own way of measuring Power Levels. It should be noted that these numbers will not be brought up until much later. I will be going over various numbers showing off a person's level of power, as well as showing who, and how much stronger someone else is.'

Battle Potential also known as BP is a measurement on how dangerous a person is. BP is a number that is given to someone. The higher the number the more dangerous they are considered to be. It should be noted that it is not always a full-proof way of telling someone's strength.

BP is a number that is given to a person to determine their strength, speed, power, durability, endurance, Mantra, resistance, control, and what level of Ero they can use. BP isn't always arcuate though, and there are several examples of it not being a 100% measuring tool.

These examples can vary such as with people like Jackson, Ken, Hero, Dawson, or Kitsune. A thing they all have in common is that their BP will actually change as they get more serious. Changing BP is extremely common, as chances are a person base BP isn't them going all out. Because of that reason, you should be aware that a person's BP can go up as they battle. In turn, it can also go down. The more exhausted, and damaged, a person is the lower their BP will be. For example, if you were to scan Hero, and Kitsune, after their battle with Dawson when both teens were unconscious you would see that they would have a BP lower than 5. For those reason, the first BP scan you get should only be used as a reference.

On top of that, it is possible for a BP to shoot through the roof when a person is performing a powerful attack. An example is a person with a BP of 100, might be able to jump all the way to a BP of 1000 but it would only be for that attack. Also when examples like that do happen, oftentimes the person will be drained after the attack, so it is impossible for them to simply spam it out.

One other thing to note is that BP vs BP won't always be obvious. An example is that a person with a BP of 100 could beat someone with a BP of 150. Having a higher BP does nr always mean you will just win, however, this rule only applies if the difference is small. An example is a person with a BP of 100 will be unable to even harm a person with a BP of 10,000. So if the difference is great enough then it simply won't matter.

Also teaming up does not always guarantee a higher combined BP. For example, two people with a BP of 100, won't be as strong as one guy with a BP of 200. They could, in fact, be stronger or weaker than the guy depending on how they treated the fight.

Having a massive BP will make you immune to certain attacks, and effects that are weaker than you. An example being Jackson Storm. He possesses the Attribute Storm, giving him access to creating, manipulating, and absorbing electricity. Against a normal human, he could simply shot a small current through a person's heart and kill them instantly. However, if a person posses a BP high to keep up with his, or even surpass his, then that attack will not work.

A higher BP also means you can dish out, and take several bigger attacks. It also effects how fast you are, and how much stamina, and Mantra you have, as well as how powerful your Attribute is.

However, there are certain cases when that didn't be the case. An example being Katrina has a much higher BP than Jackson Storm, but Jackson is still faster than her. In cases like these, a person can often make themselves stronger than they should be with either their Attribute or their Mantra hence why Jackson is able to be faster than someone with a much higher BP than himself.

A person's BP number is measured by several factors. These include things such as how physically strong someone is without the use of an Attribute, how physically fast someone is without the use of an Attribute, how much stamina they have, how much damage they can take in a long amount of time, how much damage they can deal in a short amount of time, what their Attribute is, how much control over their Attribute they have, how long it takes them to turn on their Mantra, how much Mantra they have, how strong their Mantra is, how much control over their Mantra they have, what kind of Ero they can use, and how skilled they are at fighting. All of these factors come together and are added up inside of the human body. These things are know as the three Line. M-Lines, A-Lines, and S-Lines. The stronger a person is the stronger their Lines are. The stronger a persons Lines are the higher their BP can be measured. As said though a person's BP will change if they are holding back versus going all out. That also means a person's Lines can change depending on how much effort they are giving.

By adding up things such as how physically strong someone is without the use of an Attribute, how physically fast someone is without the use of an Attribute, how much stamina they have, how much damage they can take in a long amount of time, how much damage they can deal in a short amount of time, what their Attribute is, how much control over their Attribute they have, how long it takes them to turn on their Mantra, how much Mantra they have, how strong their Mantra is, how much control over their Mantra they have, what kind of Ero they can use, and how skilled they are at fighting, you can figure out how high their BP is.

At Age 850 an object known as the BPJ was invented. The BPJ stands for Battle-Potential-Judger. The BPJ is a small device that fits inside the pocket. It is shaped like a flashlight and when turned on and pointed at someone it will read out their BP. The Enforcers rarely use BPJ's due to the fact that they can be inaccurate if a person is suppressing their power. Not only that but just knowing a person's BP tells you very little on how strong someone really is, and just gives you a rough estimate on how dangerous they are.

Having a higher BP can actually mean you can do more with your Attribute. For example, if your BP was 100 but you eventually got it all the way up to a BP of 1000 you would begin to find new things your ability can do. This is because as your BP gets higher your A-Line evolves and gets stronger, and your body is able to handle more power from your Attribute.

There are several ways to increase a person's BP. The first way is the natural way. As you get older, and grow your BP will slowly increase on its own naturally. The second way is a lot more common and that is to simply train and get stronger. Build up your physical muscles and Mantra and train more and more. And the final way is to transform, or power-up. Almost every Attrubuite has a powered-up state that you can unlock. Usually, a Power-up can boost a person's BP by an incredible amount.

Though it should be noted that not every Attribute has a power-up state that the user can unlock. In cases like those, I'm a person can still learn the Mantra technique, Pero. It is also possible for someone who can transform to use Pero though it is usually not recommended as most Power-ups strain the body already.

BP also grows differently in every person. For example despite meditating and train as much as the others Clouds BP has only increased by a small amount, whereas in the case with Ken, hers seems to be developing at an incredible rate.

Fighting is often considered to be the best way to increase BP. Not only that bit high level dangerous battles will increase the BP higher than simply training.

Every Superhuman does have access to an ability known as Enhancement. By doing over the top training or battling, and pushing themselves to the absolute limit, a person will guaranteed to get stronger, after they have had time to rest. That is the catch though. They need to rest. The increase will not take effect until they slow down and fully recover. If you are constantly training nonstop your BP will sleoly go up just by training but once you stopped and took a break the Enhancement would take effect your BP would shot up.

This increase is often a noticeable amount. For example, Hero Otoko was forced near death two times in the span of a week. Both times he recovered. He started out with a BP of 95 but after completing his first-ever high-rank mission he ended with a BP of 250.

Enhancement increase will vary on how high you are increased through several examples. These are things such as but not limited to, how hard you were pushed, how hard you were trying, how much of an effort you gave, how close to death you got, howong it took you, how much time it took you to recover, and how much you know about the threat. This example being the reason why Hero's first Enhancement, and third Enhancement were massive. Hero knew how dangerous Zero was and so both times his body naturally increased in power after recovering both times, as a way to ensure he would be able to survive.

Enhancements are a defense mechanism designed to allow a person to better prepare themselves for whatever threat is to come.

It should be noted though that Enhancements are highly risky to use in short term bursts and can actually permanently damage one's S-Lines, and M-Lines, as well as completely shatter a person A-Lines taking away their ability to use their Attribute.

One of the most dangerous beings on planet Ava is the Seraphin. Not only do they have two extra A-Lines, but they also have a much thicker M-Line though this comes at a cost of having a frail S-line. Having five Lines already gives them more power to draw from and increase their BP but they have even more in store. Not only do they have access to a whole host of abilities but Seraphin's are able to nearly abuse the Enhancement process as well as have access to a devastating transformation known as Monster-Point.

By powering up, or by using Enhancements a Seraphin can increase their BP up drastically. Not only that but in certain cases their transformations can actually harm themselves giving them access to a free Enhancement, and in some cases, an Enhancement can lead to a new transformation. For those reasons they are extremely dangerous from how quickly they can increase their BP. Though this also, of course, has the downside of them losing sanity, and ripping themselves apart by accident.

Just by fighting and being in danger a Seraphin's BP will increase drastically but this comes at a massive cost. The higher a Seraphin's BP is the more they lose themselves to battle. It isn't uncommon to see Seraphin's make rash and idiotic decisions as a way to make the battle more intense so that they can let themselves grow.

Though it should be noted that Nobles are considered far more dangerous...
