Chapter 12 - 12: Training

After resolving himself of his goals, Kiel didn't slack off anymore. He was a genius inventor and a prodigy, who had invented shields and AI all his life. So he knew the effects of hard work better than anyone. Although he knew what he had achieved in his previous life was partly because of his talent and luck. But without hard work he still couldn't reach the top.

He can always act as a lazy bum. But whenever he sets his goal to something, he would never slack off. That's how he became what he was. He always liked challenges. So he could never think about giving up now, even if he was just a little kid.

Kiel started his daily training starting with waking up as early as he could.

Empty stomach, he would start his breathing exercises. Sitting upright on his own small bed in the early morning, he would start with a little stretching to warm up his blood flow and not to create pressure in himself.

First, he would inhale the energy rich air as much as he could and try to spread it all around the body. Then exhaling the air for the same duration, emptying the impurity filled air out of his body. During the whole process he would try to feel the energy in his body as much as he could.

This was the most basic breathing exercise that he knew and he named it 'Equal Breathing or 'Vitalization', as he could feel his body be filled with vigour  by the energy rich air, by doing this. This was his main exercise.

When he would feel his body has become full of energy, he would start his second, and the most used breathing technique of his past life.

With one hand on the c.h.e.s.t and the other on the belly, taking a deep breath in through the nose, ensuring the diaphragm and not the c.h.e.s.t inflating with enough air to create a stretch in the lungs.

This would increase his breathing capacity and would help him in regulating his blood flow. He named it 'Circulation', as he felt a warm sensation in his body when he did this exercise.

But he still couldn't do this technique properly due to his small body frame. So he kept it short. He didn't give it up totally because he could feel his blood circulation becoming better a little by the days.

Kiel had many other exercises from his previous world in his memories, but he knew he was not old enough for them. So he continued with only the basic ones. And as for magic, he would have to wait until he was sensible enough to understand how this world works. Only then he could try it.

He had often seen his parents and sister using magic, which always fascinated him no matter what. He had also seen his parents meditating at night to restore energy. But as he tried to imitate them to use or sense magic, he couldn't feel it no matter how he tried. As he was not in any hurry, he decided to wait until he grew older.

After training hard all morning, he would then go to his mother for some meals. While eating his meal, he would always look at his mother with puppy eyes. Since Agatha was weaning him of milk, although she would feel bad, she would try to ignore his looks.

"Ma...ma"

"No"

" Ma….. maaaa"

"Alright!! but at night… and just a little. Now eat up."

After eating his fill and fully satisfied, he would take a nap to feel better. Waking up at noon to play with his twin sisters, then waiting for his father to come back and have lunch together was his daily interactions with his family. Although he didn't have that much affection for his father, he would be with his mom listening intently to their conversation and taking up as much he could take. But he still enjoyed the company of his sisters. Even his big sister somewhat, who would mostly ignore him.

In the evening he would continue his training with meditation only. Closing his eyes, he would sometimes start to focus at one point in his mind, and at other times try to spread his focus, while breathing very shallow breaths simultaneously. This would help him clear his mind and clear away the distracting thoughts.

After that he would hug his mother to sleep early to continue the process the next day.

He was so busy in his things that he didn't have time to interact as much as before with his mother. So he enjoyed his sleeping time with his mom to the fullest.

He would wonder often if it was too boring in this world. No TV or music players to spend time. And as a baby, there was way too little that he could do. And any little extra effort would lead him to sleep for half a day.

Sometimes he could see his big sister Hazel peeping in on him while he was training or when playing with his twin sisters. And when he would stare at her, she would roll her hair back and go away.

'Yup definitely a dere'.

Kiel continued his everyday life training, playing with his sisters and mother, eating, relieving himself and sleeping. As a baby that's all he could do.

In this time, he never stopped training even once. Although his mother would give me odd looks sometimes, he didn't mind them. If someone asked him what he was doing, he would just play cute. After all he was just a little kid.

Now even his new teeth had started to come out. So Agatha would deny him b.r.e.a.s.tfeeding even more, earning herself some teary eyes and heart breaks.

In the meantime Kiel had become more fluent with the local language. He could now understand almost all the conversations and words spoken, and if he could not understand anything, he would simply guess it. He could even speak properly now. But he didn't talk much.

As he continued on his training and meditation, he found his mind clearing away and all the distracting thoughts being cleared away day by day.

He now had a clear mind, which was becoming even more clear and clear day by day. And with it his previous personality seems to be coming back to him. Kiel could feel his thought process had almost caught up with the previous him and he could control his tiny body more properly now.

Although he didn't get any apparent changes through his breathing exercises, he felt that his body control increasing more and his stamina also increasing. But no matter how much he tried, he still could not sense even a tiny bit of mana in the surrounding.

From the daily conversations in the house, he had gained the information that this was a world filled with an unknown energy called 'mana'. This mana had a lot of uses and by controlling this mana mankind can affect the environment in a way they like, even without any knowledge of the process involved, but most importantly evolve and become stronger.

He also learnt that he was in a mountainous village called Ratri Village, and his father was a renowned blacksmith in the village. Now that Kiel thought, that's why they never lacked any food, although they lived away from any towns.

Kiel had always thought that his family was rich as he never lacked food. When his new teeth came up, he even got to try meat dishes. Everything was so delicious to Kiel than the regular dishes from Earth and Agatha would always keep him well fed. So he grew accustomed to it. And after learning his father was a blacksmith, he already had a lot of ideas of what to do in the future, so he just couldn't wait till he became older.

He had already seen the energy sources of his household, and mostly they were stones of different colours, called mana stones.

One time  he wanted to touch a stone but he was literally scolded due to it. From that time it became a forbidden thing for him. But he was still curious about them. So once he asked his mom. His mother only that children  less than three years old were forbidden to come into contact with mana as it would harm them.

Not getting enough information on anything, Kiel became even more curious. And he knew the best thing to satiate his curiosity without acting suspicious- books. But for that Kiel had to learn how to read and write. But before that he had to learn the oral language properly. So Kiel continued in his daily routine even more rigorously.

***

Unknowingly another year passed by…

Kiel had become two years old now. He could do all his works alone without anyone's help, he could walk properly, eat on his own and etc.

His parents were also happy to get such a child. So everyone treated him even more good. Even the one who always seemed to hate him, Hazel has gone to her institute six months ago. So he was literally free to do whatever he could.

After continuing his breathing exercises and meditation for more than a year, his skin has become a little rosy. He could feel his blood circulation in an even more proper rhythm and a much better clarity of mind. He could feel his body brimming with energy. Now although he was only two years old, he could think  clearly like his previous self. And as a result his personality had become colder than usual, like his usual self.

This marked the end of his first phase of training. His body had become very healthy and he had gained clarity in thoughts. So now that his  first phase of training has been completed, he planned to move on to the next phase. He wanted to try opening his chakras now.

Even though his body was brimming with energy, he still couldn't sense any mana nor use it, how he had seen others doing it even now.

Although while doing breathing exercises, he would feel a warm current spread throughout his body, but he would feel it dissipate in his  body soon after his training ended. He could not acc.u.mulated in his body. He first thought that it was mana, but seeing how his father used mana while forging once, he knew it was not.

He even once tried asking his mom about mana, but his mom shrugged him off, telling him that it was still not time for him. He could only ask discreetly and not emphasise on it as it may arouse suspicions. And he even doubted that if there was any method for it, he would only get the lowest method as they only lived in a small village.

And most importantly he couldn't think, just by opening his chakras, how could it harm him, as he would just be unblocking his  energy paths. In Fact it should help him. So without further ado he began his preparations to initiate chakra opening. He even thought that if he felt any discomfort, he would stop it then and there. This was his precaution against any risks.

First, he went to a quiet place, which he had discovered in these two years, his big sisters Hazel's room. As she didn't like anyone coming inside, no one came here; and his mother only came here monthly to clean the place. So no one would disturb him here.

Then he sat in a meditative pose, and started relaxing his mind and muscles, releasing any tension within him. He began to inhale and exhale shallow breaths to build up the warm current which he could feel during his breathing exercises.

When he felt that he had gathered enough, he tried to focus the warmness on his lower spine, at his tail bone area. Though it was very difficult and it was his first try, he didn't lose hope and tried more.

He knew that in his tailbone area, was his very first chakra, the 'Root chakra'. So he focused his all there. As he focused more and more, he failed again and again. He tried a lot but still couldn't control the warmness to gather at his tail bone area. He knew he couldn't do it in one day, he thought he could try it. But still  nothing happened.

As he was in meditation…

"Little brother!!! Where are you?? It is time for dinner. Mom is calling you"

Hearing the loud voice, he woke up.

"Coming…. "

Thinking that next he would try to control the warm current to his lower spine while training, he slowly came out of the room to avoid his angry mom as much as he could.
