Sara kept tossing and turning in bed due to her unbearable body heat. Under the blanket, she was sweating profusely, unable to sleep. She gave up and sat up after tossing away the blanket. She huffed but the stinking smell from her body drifting into her nose. Her nose was automatically wrinkled.

"Yikes", Sara clicked her tongue and jumped off the bed. It was really... unbearable. She felt like a walking dustbin!

She quickly walked towards the bathroom and filled the bathtub for a lukewarm bath. Since she sweated out, she felt her body temperature cool down relatively. It was early winter and she felt a chill run down her spine, standing there.

Very soon, the warm bath was prepared and she tossed off the bathrobe. Sara stepped inside and sat down, feeling relaxed. At the same time, she felt drowsy because she was unable to sleep the entire time. Her head was drooping while in the tub but she forced herself awake and covered herself with a towel. She walked up to the closet and took out another white bathrobe and wrapped it around herself. Then, she dragged her tired body outside. She, then, switched on the lights.

When the lights came on, she saw how grand the room was. It had an ancient architectural style, straight out of an ancient castle. Sara sighed and dragged her feet towards the bed. She picked up her phone and the time said 12:30. She wondered what was Ruby doing.

On Ruby's side

The man, who was none other than Ronnie, tried to move away from Ruby who was shooting him cold glares. Unable to move away, he begged pitifully, "I will do as you say. But, let Mishka go. She is pregnant."

Mishka was jolted awake when Ronnie had suddenly landed on the floor earlier. Her eyes were dizzy making her unable to see clearly. But, when she heard Ronnie speak, her senses came back as she struggled to sit up. She yelled pitifully, "Ronnie! You came. Save me, please!"

Ruby was annoyed by the drama and spoke impatiently, "Do as I say? Fine. Quickly sign these papers."

Then, she threw a stack of papers on Ronnie's face. He was stunned and blinked a few times, "Only these much? Just giving a pen will do."

Mishka, whose hands and legs were tied, tried standing up without realizing, only causing her to fall. Her b.u.t.t hit the cold floor and she drew in a sharp breath. Then, she growled impatiently, "Ronnie, just don't sign it. Look before you leap!"

But, Ronnie seemed to deaf all of her pleadings and blindly signed every page of the stack. After finishing, he wiped off the cold sweat that gathered on his face. Ronnie knew very well how cruel and evil Ruby had always been. Then, he spoke like an old servant speaking to his Master, "It's done. Can I take Mishka and leave?"

Ruby smirked, "Sure."

Ronnie struggled to stand up and after much difficulty, he finally stood up. Ruby signaled the guards and they released the chains around Mishka. She immediately jumped into Ronnie's arms and wailed pitifully. Ronnie supported her and led her towards the stairs.

"Wait!" Ruby's cold voice rang out in the empty bas.e.m.e.nt.

Both Ronnie and Mishka halted in their steps and turned to look with fear in their eyes. Ruby gracefully clicked her heels across the cold floor and walked towards them. Both of them gulped in fear.

"I never thought", Ruby tilted her head with a smirk, "a fool like you will inherit Singh Pharmaceuticals in future."

"What... what do you mean?" Ronnie was flabbergasted.

"Someone who doesn't even check what's written on a paper before signing is indeed not suitable for inheritance. I am glad that you have placed your so-called inheritance in the right hands."

"What... do you mean?" Mishka asked fearfully.

Ruby waved the stack of doc.u.ments in front of their eyes. The realization hit hard on Ronnie and Mishka as their eyes widened with shock and fear.
