Emross Empire: War And Order

Chapter 22 - 22. TukangSantet

After the fight against the challengers was over, Shiro returned to lazing on the porch in front of the residents' house. "Sighed. Its sucks.. I didn't think that the real version of the mission of guarding the village could be troublesome like this." Shiro said looking at the residents who were again busy doing funeral preparations.

From a distance, Turi came with some young men and seemed to be carrying something. "Sir, we have collected the weapons you have requested." said Turi who then told the young men who accompanied him to put their luggage beside Shiro.

"That's good." Shiro said softly turning his head to the pile of various weapons beside him.

"Sir, if I may ask, why did you let the herd of monsters just leave?" Turi asked curiously about Shiro's decision to let the flock of Master Panda who had invaded the village just leave.

Without looking at Turi, Shiro answered the question from the old man quite casually. "That's right... Actually I myself also want to know why. Not as usual I let the herd of money in my hand just leave. But what I know they are not a threat to me, if one day they want to take revenge on me, then all I need to do is just fight them."

Shiro slowly changed his seat to face the pile of weapons. "They try to bite you, tear your body, kill you and even eat you, but they are monsters." Shiro began to choose weapons to be used as his main equipment. "It's easier to understand their behavior than humans who try to approach you, make you friends and then stab you in the back." Shiro took an old sword and raised it right in front of him. "Rather than humans who can only make me live depressed and suffer, i prefer the Monsters that I can kill without causing guilt. After all... Who would have the heart to kill such a cute creature like them?" Shiro said closing his explanation by looking at Turi's face.

"Hmm... So in the world of Senshi originated, humans are stronger than Monsters, sir?" Turi asked curiously.

"Yeah, and also more cruel." Shiro said softly while staring at the sword he was holding.

"I understand. Then I will excuse myself to continue the funeral preparations." Turi said, inviting the youths to leave Shiro.

Shiro just pensive to see them go away, he did not even say thanks to the residents who had helped him collect weapons scattered in the village.

He again chose a weapon that he felt was suitable for him to use as the main weapon.

Among the many weapons that were in front of Shiro, there were absolutely no weapons with a common or higher quality. All of them are Poor quality which is the lowest quality.

A jagged sword had caught his attention, but the old sword looked dull and slightly damaged. Shiro's gaze was distracted after he found a long katana buried by another sword heap, a sword that was rusty and could hardly be called as a sword.

============================

{Item Name} : Broken Sword

{Quality} : Poor

{Durability} : 5 points

{Ability} : invalid

{Note} : invalid

============================

An idea crossed in his mind, instead of throwing away the rusty sword, he instead made the sword as his main equipment. Even though it looks like it can't be used for combat, but he still can get additional attack points from the sword's status.

========================

*Broken Sword Equipped*

+25 Attack Points

========================

"What?? Only 25 Attack Points?!" Shiro was surprised to see the additional attack points given by the rusty sword.

In the world of Emross all types of objects have durability, and for war equipment such as swords and so on, the less durability of these objects the weaker the benefits provided. For example a Poor quality sword has a Durability of 100 Points (100%) and gives an additional attack of 500 Points, if the Durability of the sword has been reduced to 30 Points, then the additional attack points given by the sword is only 30%, which is 150 Points.

"Tch! Does the durability of this sword also affect its status?" Shiro sighed with an annoyed face.

A few moments later Turi came back to Shiro. "Sir, all the preparations are complete."

"Then?" Shiro asked, staring at the old man's face.

"We are ready to do the funeral."

"It seems so, then? What does that have to do with me, I'm not a Gravedigger." Shiro said with a deadpan expression.

"I heard that you have received a mission to protect this village, I hope you can go to the funeral area to escort the residents to do the funeral procession." Turi answered respectfully.

"Ah, so that's it. That's right... Actually escorting you out of the village is something that is outside of my employment contract. The soldier should provide mission details to protect the villagers, not the village itself. But never mind. Besides, I'm bored of not doing anything here."

"Thank you very much, sir." said Turi in response to Shiro's kindness.

Shiro immediately put all the weapons in front of him into his storage room. He forgot to replace his main weapon with another weapon, and still used the rusty sword as his main weapon.

While walking towards the gate, Shiro idly asked Turi who was following him from behind. "I wonder if there is a cigarette in this world."

"What's that thing looks like, sir?" Turi answered curiously.

"So it doesn't exist, huh? Hmm... It's small, made of tobacco wrapped in paper, and when it burned can emit smoke." Shiro replied imagining a cigarette that was burning.

"Doesn't everything that burns emit smoke, sir?" The old man answered in a plain tone.

Hearing innocent questions from Turi, Shiro reflexively turned towards the old man. He felt stupid about what he had said.

Feeling annoyed, Shiro accelerated his footsteps to leave Turi.

"Sir, wait for me!" Turi shouted, trying to catch up to Shiro.
