CHAPTER 100

"I believe you owe me, miss. Please tell me your name so I can call you by it."

"Fine. My word is my word. My name is…"

"Wait. I have another request," he stopped her, lifting his hand between them. Her eyes swept from his lifted hand to his face.

She was confused for a minute there. Didn't he want to know her name more than anything else? So why now was he stopping her?

"Fine. What is your request?"

"Promise you would grant it.'

'Am I mad?' she questioned inward. Who makes such promises as though it was a blank cheque.

Even a blank cheque was dangerous and yet this man was making it so that…

She let out a sigh. Did he think she had no clue as to who his brother was?

"Sorry, I do not get to promise you anything as you too do not get to make such demands."

"Trust me, it won't be bad."

"Just get straight to the point. If it is reasonable I would grant it to you, but if not, I won't."

"Fair enough. It is reasonable. I want to take you out. For a dinner. I would have said we should go out now, but I do not want to intrude on your work schedule."

"Wise."

"So how about a dinner, tonight?"

She took a minute to ponder the risks involved and the fact that ignoring him would only cause more problems for her.

For now, she just did not want his tailing on her to continue so she decided to use this date to break that off.

"Fine."

"Thanks." The smile on his lips was genuine enough for her to believe it.

Also, Andromeda had other plans for him. She did not see herself remaining here when the final piece to finishing the last design hit her.

"I need to go, Sun Yichen. Take care."

"Wait. I do not have your number or how am I going to find you?"

'Sly fox.' She mentally noted.

"Set the stage. Where do we meet and what time?"

"Umm, okay. Let's meet at Dragon's Appetizers at 7 pm. I would have a table reserved for us. Just ask for me when you arrive."

'Okay."

She wasted no time being in that place with him.

Upon coming out, her eyes caught sight of the two men putting on identical sunglasses and entering a car to her far left.

'Ingrates. Matching sunglasses of all the things to try and conceal your obvious identity. I do not know which of you is more foolish. Sun Yichen who thinks I am dumb and you.'

The moment she arrived at the company, she went straight to see Liu Xueyi first before anything.

Not only had Yu Bao inspired the last piece of her design, but it also gave her the sense of her new theme.

She arrived in front of his office. With a deep breath, she straightened her back and knocked twice on his door.

The moment she heard his voice usher her in, she turned on the door knob and walked in.

"Andromeda Kai. To what do I owe this pleasure considering you did not fulfil your end of the bargain?" Liu Xueyi greeted her with his questions the second he laid eyes on her.

"Good afternoon to you too," she sarcastically laid out and proceeded to take her seat.

"I love your outfit," he complimented but the gloomy expression on his face remained.

"Oh, come on. Would you have wanted a half-baked theme or would you want the fully baked cake from the oven?"

"Fine. What is it?"

"Guess?"

He hit the table a bit to show her his impatience, earning a soft giggle from her in turn. "Oh come on. Where is the joy in the whole matter? Fine, killjoy. I shall indulge you."

"Better." She reached for a pen amongst the stark of pens on his desk and picked up from the side note he had there and wrote down.

She handed him the note, returned his pen and waited for his comment.

Sure enough, his deep voice resounded in her ears as his pronunciation hit right. "Estrella Nacinete. Spanish?"

"Yes."

"Meaning? Wait. I know Estrella means star, divine strength. Naciente, however…"

"Rising. Rising star," she completed for him.

All the while, her eyes remained locked on his face, watching and loving his every expression.

"Rising Star." He shot his gaze back at her, his eyes locking with hers as a warm satisfied and proud smile worked his way to his eyes and lips.

"Yeah. You like it?"

"No." Her smile fell instantly, as her brows furrowed at him, waiting for an explanation. "No, Andy. I love it."

A soft laugh fell from her lips as she fell back into her chair. More laughs resounded from her as her nerves relaxed. He got her there.

"I guess I am being paid back in my coin," she commented and sat properly after her laughter died down.

"Not what I planned but I loved the shock I gave you. Truly it is brilliant. By the way, are you ready?"

"Ready for what?"

"Ready for the show, Andromeda?"

"Yeah. Preparations have been made right?" She threw the question back at him.

"They have been. Everything is in place save for one design I heard you requested them to hold off on. Aren't we using her for the fashion show?"

"Yes. We would. However, that was specifically designed for me. You wouldn't have me dressed poorly to grace such occasion now would you?"

The crease of his brows eased up at her explanation.

"I see."

"Yes. Also, I have a gift prepared for you."

"Interesting. Where is it?" He did not hide his excitement.

Ever since they had known each other, this was the first time she was uttering such words to him and indeed he was eager.

"I shall have it sent to your house address tomorrow night."

"Alright. I look forward to it." His gaze scanned the paper in his hand once more as a thought occurred to him.

"By the way, Andy, are you ready for the big reveal?"
