Chapter 47

“Has your doubt gone by now?”

Elysia was startled at Iker’s question, who seemed to know her intention and decided to check it through Har.

Come to think of it, it didn’t just happen once or twice. Acting as if he could come in and out of her head whenever he wished.

‘Is it because my behavior can be read so easily, or this man is just good at reading people?’

Elysia looked at Iker and asked back while feeling embarrassed and curious because he caught her intentions.

“How do you figure out my thoughts so well? I wonder if you really read my mind because you always get it every time.”

She thought the answer that she got would be light because she threw that question as a joke.

But the answer that came back was not light at all.

“Because I’m interested in you.”

Elysia froze at the sudden confession. Her purple eyes shook in bewilderment.

She was more embarrassed because she didn’t expect to hear it in such a place. But that wasn’t the end.

“Isn’t it understandable to look carefully at the person I have feelings for?”

The nonchalant following remark that escaped Iker’s mouth along with his beautiful slightly bent eyes made her speechless.

If his remark were nothing more than a common courtesy, Elysia would naturally treat it as a joke and give a reaction.

However, she couldn’t help but feel embarrassed if he spat it out from the bottom of his heart.

There was no man who has ever approached her this way.

Her calm heart began to race and her entire body became warm as if the heat inside was rising.

It was when Elysia was just moving her lips slightly as she couldn’t figure out what to answer. A cool hand suddenly stretched out and lifted her hand.

To her surprise, the gun landed on her palm.

The cool feeling, the one she found when touching metal, along with the weight on her hand soothed the heat her body was experiencing.

“If you are done with checking everything, why don’t you take this?”

Raising her head at Har’s sudden words, her eyes met him as he faced her.

The brusque dark gray eyes were filled with a look of wariness. Elysia braced herself together. At the same time, she also felt a sense of embarrassment.

‘It’s really driving me crazy.’

What is she doing even though she has enough love experience to be called a flirt? Every time she met the man in front of her, she was always caught up frantically by him.

She felt sorry for herself, she had to sort out this situation before anything.

“I forgot about it. Thank you.”

ELysia smiled while taking the gun and put it back in her waist.

putting the gun in the holster, she internally took a deep breath and stared at Iker.

“You said you learned two poses. Can you show me another pose?”

Although she looked calm as if nothing happened, Elysia’s eyes were slightly diverted. It was as if she didn’t have enough confidence to make eye contact.

So, she wasn’t aware. A satisfied smile appeared on Iker’s face.

“The second one was this posture.”

His left hand, which was wrapped around his right hand, came off slowly and he naturally changed his posture with just one arm stretched out in the air.

It was the same posture as her favorite one-handed grip posture when shooting. But the sensation was very different.

He had a broad and wide manly shoulder, stretched arms adorned with firm muscles, exceedingly long legs that stood unwaveringly, and not to forget, his appearance that was almost similar to a statue.

It would be weird if she wasn’t distracted at the sight.

‘Is that posture… supposed to be that cool?’

Elysia swallowed through her dry mouth without realizing it.

Luckily, she was able to avoid looking at him with a bewitched gaze, it might be because she was trying not to drift away into the haze from a while ago, but strangely enough, she felt thirsty.

She didn’t even know it was all the more amazing by looking at it because she had felt his shoulders, arms, back, and chest with her fingertips.

The firm muscles that filled his body couldn’t be compared to the men she’s been dealing with so far.

The deep purple eyes, which had turned hazy for a while due to the satisfaction of the wild digging that appeared in her mind, soon regained its color as soon as she shook her head.

“It’s a single-handed grip. I like this pose, too. You’ve learned quite a lot.”

Elysia quickly shook off the appearing lewd demon in her head and complemented Iker’s posture.

She wasn’t lying when she said his posture was great. Except for one part.

She walked up to him and shifted Iker’s finger, which was holding the gun, a little bit to the front.

“It is suggested that the opening of his thumb and his middle finger are tightly joined and placed in the upper part. If you hold the pistol higher, there’s a bigger possibility of hitting the target.”

“All right.”

“Then would you like to try shooting? Have you ever shot?”

“I’ve shot a couple of times.”

“A couple of times? Didn’t you say you learned a bit in the magic tower?”

Iker smiled softly when the intrigued Elysia asked.

“The prosecutor asked what are you supposed to do with a gun, and that Kar guy is mean. Since I’ve just shot once after learning the posture, I think I can say twice.”

Elysia’s eyes opened wide in surprise when she heard his words.

‘But how come he has such a perfect posture? What’s with this guy?’

Having observed him until now, there was nothing the man in front of him couldn’t do. Politics, sports, and even doing that thing at night.

Elysia opened her mouth while thinking that if there was someone who received blessing from God, it would be him.

She wondered if he would be good at shooting after having just practiced twice.

“Then, you can go ahead and shoot.”

“All right.”

Iker’s golden eyes turned serious after his laughter dissipated as he faced the target.

Elysia and Har held their breath while watching with a sharp look that seemed to pierced their target.

The bullet was fired with a banging sound.

There must have been a recoil in the gun, but Iker’s arms and body didn’t shake even a little. He looked so calm that he might not even know if he released the bullet.

The bullet that flew toward the target unfortunately didn’t hit the center of the target, but the edge.

Elysia’s mouth parted unknowingly.

‘He said it’s just twice. What kind of monster is this……..’

The teacher told her she was a genius, but the real genius was in front of her.

She didn’t know about the results on the first and second try, but how could she say it’s normal to hit the target in the third try?

She asked him to shoot again just in case, but the result remained the same. The bullet hit in a similar location before it fell off.

Luckily, she discovered a problem with Iker’s posture.

The hand shook very slightly when he fired the gun.

She found that the shake was a little strange when he overcame the recoil, but Elysia thought it was fortunate that there was something she could fix anyway.

So she said while approaching Iker.

“Your hand shakes slightly when you shoot. If you hold it just like that, you’ll be able to shoot in the center of the target.”

“Really? Then I’ll try again.”

Iker shot at the target again. But nothing has changed. He fired a few more guns but only managed to hit the same spot over and over again.

Elysia frowned as she watched Iker’s hand still shook slightly every time he fired the gun.

It was astonishing how the missed bullet continued to hit the same spot each time, but it was frustrating to see one small mistake miss the center.

Elysia eventually walked up beside Iker and grabbed the lower part of his wrist.

His wrist was thick and manly, so she couldn’t hold it with just one hand, but she thought there would be no problem if she fixed it.

“Please try to shoot one more time.”

“All right.”

Iker gently fired the gun again at her instruction. This time, the bullet hit exactly at the center of the target before falling off.

‘Huh? It’s not shaking….? Do I not feel it?’

Elysia recalled the sensation when she didn’t feel the shaking of his hand with a puzzled look.

His wrist didn’t move at all, as if they were pinned in the air.

“Can you please shoot again?”

She asked Iker to shoot again because she couldn’t comprehend the situation. This time, the bullet hit the center of the target again, but his hand wasn’t shaking.

‘Weird?’

Elysia let go of Iker’s hand and asked again after blinking a few times.

This time, it hit the end of the target just like before and fell off. It was the same spot like the previous one before she held his wrist.

‘What? I’m certain I didn’t feel him shaking?’

She wondered if it might be so subtle that she couldn’t sense it.

She eventually concluded she was obtuse, so she looked at Iker and spoke to him.

“Like I said earlier, I think you only have to fix the part where your hand shakes when you shoot. It didn’t shake when I held it for you, you can shoot with both hands now.”

“Like this?”

Iker’s left hand, which was hanging by his side, came up and supported his right hand’s wrist that was holding the gun.

Due to that, Elysia suddenly found herself trapped in his arms because she was standing beside him to hold his wrist.

She unwittingly stopped breathing when the faint woody scent became strong in an instant.

“Is this right?”

Shiver ran down Nelia’s spine when his deep and low voice came into her ear along with a waft of warm breath.

Even though there was still an appropriate amount of space between his arms, she strangely felt as if being hugged by him. A weird tension floated in the trapped air between them.

She nodded while swallowing through her dry mouth.

“Yes, I think there’s no problem with this posture.”

“All right. Thank you for watching me.”

The thickened woody scent faded again as he dropped the arms that surrounded her as he spoke in a calm voice.

Only then did Elysia release a sigh quietly.

She didn’t want the man in front of her to know that she was, in fact, nervous. Why was she so nervous despite already having a few years of experience in love?

She quickly looked back at Iker after she lowered her gun and said.

“Then, can I wrap up today’s lesson?”

He nodded light-heartedly at her question while putting back the gun in the holster.

“Thank you for today. I’d like to give you a small reward.”

“Reward?”

Why is he talking about ‘reward’ all of a sudden?

Elysia blinked in astonishment as Iker turned to Har, who was standing quite a distance away from them.

“Sir Teske, will you give me a chance to show your skill?”

Har’s dark eyebrows raised slightly in surprise at his sudden request.
