The two of them went down to the hospital hall on the first floor.

They took the escalator and turned in the direction of the main door which was directly opposite the hospital’s elevators. At that time, the elevator door just opened and several people were coming out of it.

The last one was in a wheelchair.

Shu Nian didn’t expect to see Xie Ruhe again in a hospital so she stopped walking.

He You who was next to her also stopped and reminded her. “Walk my friend, have you gone dumb again?”

Shu Nian hesitated to say a greeting to him.

At that moment, Xie Ruhe stopped outside the elevator. He wore a big coat and there was no blood on his face. He was like a vampire living in the dark. His eyes were dark and deep. He looked very calm.

It seemed that he was not staring at her but at He You who was standing next to her.

He You took a look and knew that she had seen someone she recognised but he didn’t care. He just turned around and left the hospital.

Shu Nian quickly walked over and helped him pick up his phone before he could bend down.

Xie Ruhe raised his eyes slightly and looked at the hand in front of him. He paused for several seconds before reaching out to take it. He whispered a “thank you” to her.

Shu Nian nodded and asked him hesitantly. “Did you come here alone?”

Xie Ruhe was silent for a moment and then hummed.

Shu Nian questioned him. “Did you ask your driver to pick you up?”

Xie Ruhe said: “He’ll be here soon.”

Shu Nian was relieved: “Then you just wait here for a while. I’ll be going first?”

She was still thinking about the opportunity Li Qing gave her and was anxious to go home to practice her singing. Since she didn’t have enough talent, she would need to work harder than the day before to be better. Even if it didn’t produce any results, maybe God would see her efforts and reluctantly——

When she encountered a question she didn’t want to answer or when she lied, her voice would become vague. She thought that if others couldn’t hear her clearly then she would have passed the question or it would be the same as not lying.

Xie Ruhe didn’t know why she didn’t want to say but he didn’t ask again.

Xie Ruhe asked her casually. “Was that your boyfriend just now?”

“Which one?” Shu Nian was thinking about some things and found it hard to focus again. “Are you talking about the man just now?”

“En.”

“No, that’s my neighbor.” Shu Nian was very honest. “I don’t have a boyfriend.”

Xie Ruhe turned his back to her and didn’t say anything else but his mood obviously better. The depression on his body seemed to have dissipated a lot because of that.

Shu Nian didn’t pay attention, she was still thing about the singing situation.

Shu Nian didn’t think too much about it but still, she didn’t sing any of his songs. She hummed the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.

“…” Xie Ruhe said. “Now add the lyrics and sing it together.”

Shu Nian sang: “Twinkle twinkle/the sky is full of little stars.”

Xie Ruhe was relieved and his expression became clearer: “So just remember the lyrics and you’ll be fine.”

“Ah?”

“When you sing the lyrics the people listening will know what song you’re singing.”

Shu Nian: “…”
