As Takeshi and Anna approached the huge camel, they were surprised by its size.

“I-it’s so huge…”

“Y-yeah. Like a dump truck.”

The camel was bigger than a dump truck and was carrying a house with wheels attached to it.

The house looked old and dilapidated. It was full of patches and seemed to have been bizarrely designed, with rooms randomly placed here and there. But, somehow they felt that the building was the work of a professional.

There was a big signboard hanging on the house.

“Anna, look.”

“Hmm. Let me read it… Mahogany Travelling Store, isn’t it?”

“Yeah. I can read it too. It’s not English, is it? It’s not Chinese or Korean, either…”

“I wonder if that white god equipped us with a translator or something?”

The characters were from this other world, but they could understand them.

Their motorcycle approached the camel and rode alongside it, but the camel showed no signs of stopping. They wanted to ask the owner for water and food, but they didn’t know what to do…

“Helloooo! Excuse me! Helloooo!”

“A, Anna?! You’re being hasty!”

“You have to shout so they will hear us! I’m really thirsty!”

Anna shouted as much as she could from the tandem seat. It was a different world, yet she didn’t seem to be afraid. Takeshi couldn’t help but be amazed.

Then a window on the ground floor of the house opened with a bang.

“[Welcome!] I’d say… What the hell is wrong with you two?! What is that lump of metal?!”

“Excuse me! Can I have a glass of water, please!”

“Haaah?! I can’t hear you!!!”

“Aah… it can’t be helped.”

Takeshi approached the window of the house and drove side by side with the man leaning out of the window.

Anna was fearless as she spoke to the beardy stocky man.

“Um, I need a glass of water!”

“Wateeerrr?! Oh, sure! Hold on a minute!”

“Okayyy!”

“You’re kidding me…”

The man pulled back from the window, and then a few minutes later… surprisingly, the camel stopped.

Takeshi also slowed down his bike and ultimately came to a stop. The front door of the house then opened and a wooden ramp came down.

The man from just now stood at the doorway, gesturing inside with his thumb.

“Come in.”

“Yay! Thank you, oji-san!”

“H-hey, Anna.”

“Come on, let’s go.”

“There, hurry and get in.”

“…”

Anna hopped up the ramp as Takeshi put his shotgun on his shoulder and climbed the ramp. It then occurred to him to turn around and say to the bike.

“Disappear.”

Then the bike just melted away.

“So we don’t need a garage… Thank goodness.”

“Heehh, so you have a dimensional storage? That’s rare.”

“Wha—?!”

“There there, hurry and get in. We’re leaving.”

“R-right. Sorry about that.”

Takeshi and Anna entered the house of the “Mahogany Travelling Store”.

“Wow… Amazing!”

“You’re right, it kind of looks like a traditional sweet shop, no, more like a general store.”

The ground floor of the house was filled with all kinds of utensils. Housewares, such as saucepans and frying pans, and tablewares were lined up on the shelves along with bottles filled with a strange coloured liquid. Maybe it was detergent? Either way, she did not want to drink it.

And that’s not all. Farming equipment hung on the walls, as well as swords, spears, shields and armour that they had only seen in pictures.

No matter how you look at it, they’re not made in Japan.

“Here, girl, your water.”

“T-thank you! Glug, glug, glug… Phew!”

Anna gulped down water from a container that looked like a goat’s stomach. 1

Returning the water container to the man, Anna bowed her head.

“Thank you very much. You’ve been a great help.”

“Don’t worry about it. More importantly, what were you doing on such a remote plain?”

“Well, errr….”

Anna glanced at Takeshi.

“… The truth is, I was living with my daughter in the mountains, but due to various reasons I decided to go travelling. We know nothing about this place. If you don’t mind, could you tell me about this place?”

“Heehh. Father and daughter, huh… Well, since you’re a traveller, I’ll lend you a hand. Our store is also on a similar journey, you know!”

“Thank you very much. So… Where is this?”

“Huh? … This place is Nakita Plains in the Kingdom of Markt. It’s a plain of nothing.”

There’s no way he’d believe they’re from Japan. For the time being, they’ll just have to hide it.

Putting aside the words he couldn’t understand in his head, Takeshi then asked a question.

“I’m sorry for the late introduction. I’m Takeshi and this is my daughter, Anna.”

“So, Takeshi and Anna. I’m Tuck, Mahogany Store’s blacksmith. Well, as you can see, I’m a Dwarf.”

“Dwarf?! Whoa, a real Dwarf!”

“Bwahahaha! Is this your first time seeing a Dwarf? Well then, we’ll have to introduce you to the others! Hey, heeeyyy all of you, come here for a minute!”

After Tuck shouted loudly, three people came out from the opening on the first floor… They gasped.

“Oh my, we have customers? Forgive me, I didn’t notice. I’m Bavaroa, the tailor. I run the dressmaking shop upstairs.”

The person who called themselves Bavaroa was a bipedal “snake”.

They wore clothes, but from the neck above, it was that of a snake. The long stretching, slithering neck and the forked tongue that flickers in and out, those characteristics were too distinctive. Anna immediately paled.

“Agh… My head hurts. Tuck’s loud voice is a real problem… Ah, I’m Lumimi, I run the apothecary on the second floor, nice to meet you.”

The one who introduced herself as Lumimi was a woman in her twenties.

She wore a robe and a pointy hat, like a witch in a manga, but with a bottle of wine in her hand, they could only see her as a shady witch.

“…”

“Ah, this is Morgan, a cow-beastman guard. He doesn’t talk much, but he’s a good man.”

The person Tuck introduced was a cow-beastman over two meters tall.

His skin was brown and he had five fingers. But his face was that of a cow and he had a nose hook. His upper body was only covered with a tank top and he was obviously muscular.

“With that being said, we are a group of traveling merchants, the Mahogany Travelling Store. By the way, Mahogany is the name of the camel beast that pulls this shop.”

It seemed that the dump-truck sized camel was called a camel beast.

A gang of four consisting of a dwarf, a snake-person, a witch and a cow-beastman. Once again, Takeshi and Anna realized that this was without a doubt a different world.

Tuck then said to a dumbfounded Takeshi.

“What would you like to buy, dear customers?”
