Cross- Roads: What To Choose Love Or Friendship

Before take off Aaron clicked a selfie of himself and Hayley and send it into their chat group captioned mission accomplished.

On the other city when their respective phone vibrated Keith and Tyler heaved a sigh of relief but Caleb who was pacing around in his room started to get more anxious. He wanted to see Hayley, the moment he realized that something was not right he wanted to go to her side and stay with her.

These three days has been nightmare for him. He wanted to be by her side but restrained himself because he knew it was not his place and time to be there. He knew that he has the resources by which he can keep an eye on Hayley's every activity without her knowing about it but he knew it will be like betraying Hayley. In picture Caleb could notice Hayley's sad eyes but he could not do anything about it. He wanted to rip something apart, he wanted to strangle something. This helplessness was killing him, some time being friends with a person you love sucks.

In his fit of rage he picked up flower vase and tossed it across the floor but cracking sound from falling vase never came. He turn around only to see that his father was standing there holding that vase in his hands.

"Seems like my son is in love, or I say in one sided love" he said chuckling. Caleb eyes went big with surprise, he never discussed anything with his father. "What? I am still king of underworld, do you think I don't know what's happening in my own son's life?" he answered his son's surprise gaze.

Lucian Mason standing right in front of his son holding the vase his boy just threw in fit of anger. He was amused to see his son's expression changing every moment by his words. Lucian Mason Caleb's father and current king of underworld always knew about Hayley's presence and importance in his son's life. He was at some point happy when he got to know that his son was in love but then he got to know that Hayley was in love with Aaron. Aaron was like second son to Lucian, if anybody else had been at Aaron's place he would have advised Caleb to fight for Hayley's affection but right now he won't make two brothers enemy in name of love.

"I want to meet her" he told Caleb. The moment Caleb heard his father statement, rejection was clearly seen in his face. His father knew he will not let him meet Hayley but he still wanted to ask. He sighed and said "It is hard to love someone but it's more difficult to love someone when your affection is not returned. My Son! you are lucky enough that your girl consider you as a friend, when in trouble there are chances she will look for you. You have rights to care for her even there are some limits to it. She is happy and you are happy for her I can see that. So always remember everyone is different and you will have your share of love. I don't believe you will end like me because you have friends and family who wants to see you happy."

Once done his father turned around to leave when suddenly Caleb moved forward and hugged him. It has been very long since his son last hugged him. Lucian was shocked for a while but coming back to his senses he lifted his hands and patted his son's back as if assuring him that everything is fine.

After a while Caleb said "one sided love sucks, Father." " Hmm, i know the feeling, Son" Lucian replied.
