Chains Of Pride

Chapter 92 - Operation 'Wreck Their Shit'

"This is incredible! Oh man I wish Makoto was here!"

"Why do you want that in sufferable burden on mankind to be here?"

"I don't know who this Makoto is, but if Gin likes him. Then he must either be very simple, a living representation of shit, or something that causes loss of control of your bowels...thus resulting in shit"

Yang Min took a minute to think before responding to Xiao Yu's several descriptions, "You're not inaccurate."

"Oi! You three, focus and drive your energy into your constructs, be like Zutto Shu, silent and imposing, or like Lerner, not annoying," the voice of Rikona, who was in the sky above them sounded in their heads, instantly quelling the argument that was bound to take place.

"Hahaha I love it! Operation "Wreck Their Shit' is a go!" The cheerful voice of Numani sounded out not far behind them.

"Numani?! Shouldn't you be in the midst of the multitude of of Taliums behind us? We can't afford for you to be hurt, also, operation 'Wreck Their Shit'? Wasn't that the name of the first base attack?" Gin asked.

"Excuse me but don't butcher Master Kura's exquisite naming sense, it was called…operation 'Up The Ass'" Yang Min hastily corrected Gin after a bit of hesitation in the middle.

"Pretty sure Lady Rikona, is the one that caused that to happen," Gin stated.

Ever since Gin and Makoto had gotten along a lot better, his and Yang Min's relationship were starting to be like oil and water.

"Can we FOCUS!?!" Once again Rikona's voice came down, this time, however, it rang loud in every single Talium's head, reinforcing uniformity.

"Numani, where's Central Command?!" Rikona asked.

Transmitting her thoughts back to Rikona, Numani replied, "It's much deeper in the compound big sis, it's that big silver tower like-thing way over yonder."

After sharing that information with Rikona, their directions changed as their objectives and goals were defined.

Suddenly, however, Gin who was more to the left, felt his senses prickle. He quickly erected an energy shield as he warned the Taliums he shielded.

"Brace yourself!!"

Boom!!!

A swarm of Taliums being led by a controller who was at the back, suddenly charged out of one of the smaller buildings they were passing by.

They all leapt forward and started to pummel the shield with kicks and punches. Though their power was impressive, against a shield erected by Gin who was now an Invata Prime. It was like watching eggs being thrown at a rock, wasteful, sad and maybe a little bit fun.

"Damn it, let me have a go at em!" Xiao Yu leapt from behind Gin as she planned to take them on herself.

"Oh no ya don't! I saw them, so I get to fight them, back off!" Gin was determined to have this to himself as he immediately brandished his construct.

Several links of chains materialised before quickly running down from his shoulders to belt akin to suspenders. He then clapped both of his hands together, as he called his construct to serve him.

"Argent Deity!"

In the air in front of Gin, a severe fluctuation started to take place, as a liquid-like silver element started to form out of the air. It then began to writhe and twist before taking form, its forging taking the shape of that of a woman.

A woman of incomparable beauty, a woman that showed no blemish on her skin, a woman who shared an unusually uncanny resemblance…to Kura!

The only difference is that it was composed of what appeared to be silver in liquid form, as it shone with the same silver hue. Although this might have taken a while to describe, this all took place in the space of 3 breaths.

"Shackles!"

As soon as this word left Gin's mouth, the construct called Argent Deity lifted its hand and suddenly a silvery light appeared on Xiao Yu's body. It then coalesced and wrapped itself around her leg and dragged her back, throwing her somewhere behind Gin so he could have some fun.

"You cuuuuuunnnnnnntttttt!!!!"

Hearing her fading voice from behind, Gin flashed a smile as he rushed forward.

"Remember to not kill them, this is not of their own will nor any fault of their own," as Gin was heading towards on the other side of the barrier, he heard Rikona's voice in his head.

His only response to that was a perfunctory nod, as his Deity flew beside him.

Rikona who was floating in the sky watched the small fight below her with a contemplative look. The gaze she levied upon the Deity was quite complex to say the least.

When Rikona first saw Gin's construct, she was understandably shocked. She first believed it was actually Kura due to the staggering resemblance. The disappointment on her face was heartbreaking when she learnt it was simply Gin's construct.

It was here that Gin took the time to explain why he believed, nay, knew, why it resembled Kura so.

From the moment that Gin saw her he was instantly smitten. As a result he did everything possible to win her affection, but was only shut down everytime.

However, he was determined and would never quit no matter how long it took. He would win her heart, sparing no effort to succeed.

According to Gin, it was not that his construct took the form of Kura, but rather, in the deepest parts of his heart, the very existence of Kura, was etched and carved, before he even met her. It could be called the very definition of a soul mate. Their frequency aligned near perfectly.

The outline of his other half of him had existed. Meeting her was him encountering the very thing that lay vague within his heart.

Consider it like an artist that painted the greatest work of his life, only to find that somewhere else, the very same scene already existed in its entirety, in reality. What would such an artist feel? Would it be hate? No! It would be felicity, happiness that his fiction was real.

Kura was his fiction.

Gin was a man that's had more than his fair share of women, and Kura knew it. Many of them have had their hearts broken by him. With his looks he was able to get away with many things that most men could only dream of.

However, when he met Kura, it seemed as if everything that he was, right then and there was purged.

He knew that he had to prove himself. Even if it took days, weeks or even years he would show her that he was determined.

"Because of this damned place, the woman that lives in the heart of me, sleeps in unknown slumber. Argent Deity, austere fetters!!!"

The same light that appeared on Xiao Yu, now started to shine on the other Taliums. However, unlike her, their veins began to bulge as they were sent crashing to the ground, unable to move even a muscle.

Gin had passed through the barrier by now and was upon the controller who was not trembling at the quick change of events.

"W-Wait! I-I can tell you where the r-re-"

Before the controller could finish what he was about to say, Gin had already landed a punch on his c.h.e.s.t. He could feel the entity cavity of the controller's c.h.e.s.t caving in from his fist, from this alone, it was pretty sure this controller wouldn't be getting up.

He had no intention to listen to them, vengeance and liberation was what he sought here, and he knew he would have it.

"Damn it! Haven't you heard back from the 15 high Taliums and Glover's team yet?! And where the hell is Nefiera!?!" The Director was absolutely livid and no one wanted to be in the scope of his ire.

He was well aware that the obese man had access to a tech that could help them turn the tide. As for Nefiera, she was able to help him handle certain sections of the base that he otherwise had no time to manage.

"S-Sir Director we heard back from one of the operatives on the raid. H-He said t-that u-uhm..."

"Spit it out already!" This outrage came from Venko.

"T-The 15 high Taliums w-we sent have a-all been wiped out!!" The observer blurted out.

The Director's pupils dilated when he heard this, the veins on his usually clear forehead bulged and pulsated, 'WHAT!!"
