Chains Of Pride

Chapter 86 - Collective Ascension

"Wait, what?!" Gin was surprised. "How come you didn't say anything about that? No, 'Hey Gin and company, I found a snail in the forest today, I called netflix to get that series back on, oh, and your childhood friend has the energy of a fallen. Things you should mention!"

"So many things wrong with that statement, you've been hanging around with Makoto for too long," Rikona sighed.

"What's a fallen?" Nehone asked.

Rikona took the time to explain to Nehone exactly what 'The Fall' was and what being a fallen entailed.

Nehone's eyes widened in shock and could barely believe what he was hearing, but he knew that Rikona had no need to lie to him. Gin also vouched that everything she stated was true, further cementing this odd state.

He advised her that he would try his best to not use this energy going forward. Seeing that everyone's energy had increased several fold, it was about time for her to let the recently awakened Taliums know about the dangers of the fallen.

In the evening, Rikona did just that and released another piece of news.

"Our resident tech whiz Kyros Numani, has been keeping an eye out for us to make sure we're safe here, and at present we have around 5 more days before the association are upon us." Rikona paused at this point to allow the news to sink in.

She could see the looks of shock, fear, excitement and many others on their faces, but above all, the unmistakable look of anger ran rampant. Rikona smiled when she saw this before she continued.

"They've locked on to our positions, so staying here is a definite no-no. They brought the fight to us and as a result I have a perfect way to receive them in kind."

"We'll allow them to come here, lead them into a false sense of security. Heck! We'll keep the lights on at home, invite them into our house, maybe put something on the stove so they can feel comfortable. Once they relax, we're gonna reach around and f**k them so hard that their grandchildren are gonna be pregnant!"

The crowd that surrounded her started to let out massive cheers hearing this. They had long become used to Rikona's weird way of describing things, so they just cheered with everything they had.

"Everyone get ready, I'll assign team leaders to each group to make sure we're all in sync. Now get moving!"

In the lower levels of the building Rikona, followed by Gin, Yang Min, Numani, and Zutto Shu were heading to a makeshift cell.

The old moldy smell of the lower levels were really pungent, this was why they hated coming down here. However, now they had to, someone here had information that they really needed.

Arriving in front of a barrier, Rikona simply snapped her fingers and the glowing dome dissolved.

"Hello Machyal, how have you been?" Rikona asked with a cold expression.

Machyal stared back at her with an extremely loathsome gaze, "What? Should I thank you for personally bringing food to me or something, or do you want to torture me? Maybe you want to take turns beating me since you have the power rangers following you?"

"Oh no, nothing like that, we're gonna finally gonna get the grandchildren of your association's HQ pregnant so…" Rikona said with nary a change in expression.

"Wha-"

"Don't think too deeply about it, anyways, you're gonna give me and my friends some information, specifically about your place's Headquarters of course. Since you were a regional director and all, I would think you have some information on it." Rikona stated, not breaking eye contact.

Machyal gulped in fear, "Wh-What d-do you want to know?"

"Oh, just things like where does it get its milk from, how cool looking their uniforms are- What the hell do you think I want to know?" She stated as her anger began to slightly slip through.

"I-In Hokkaido?" He stuttered.

"Did this bitch just tell me..." Rikona's head went blank from that answer. {Fact} [Hokkaido is known as the dairy land of Japan, where Japan produces most of its milk and cheese products. This is because Hokkaido is big, and so are cows.]

"Fine Machyal, and when we get our fill of calcium from Hokkaido. We'll head on the Association so tell me where the f**k it is! How many Taliums there are, and how hard I should unalive it!!!"

...

"I think that was a very good session back there." Gin said, an extra pep in his step as he walked away from the lower levels with Rikona and the others.

"Uhm, Master Rikona will we really be able to win against the Association's Headquarters?" Apparently the info they got wrung from Machyal had daunter her a bit.

Rikona looked towards Yang Min who spoke just now, "Now where did that come from? We have been crashing bases left and right during our younger days, this'll be the same thing."

"Younger days? That was about a month ago!" Gin pointed out.

"And aren't I one month older? Hence, younger days…" Rikona said, not feeling embarrassed about her logic.

"With the info I got from him, I can set up a jamming signal, to keep their satellites so that we can move around unnoticed for a while. I need to get to work on that, so on that note, bye guys." Numani branched off from them and headed down another corridor.

"Seriously though, that girl really helped us out. Without her, we'd probably be picking on our first base still." Gin stated.

Rikona smiled coyly as he watched her receding back, "You have a crush on her now, lover boy?"

Gin quickly blushed when he heard this, "Wh-What are yo… n-no! Lady Kura is the only one for me." He said nothing more, not wanting to incriminate himself.

Rikona calmed down after this and began to head in another direction with Yang Min, Gin and Zutto Shu.

"Are you okay?"

Oddly enough, to the shock of the others, this question came from Zutto Shu! Though the voice was a bit rough and the tone quite blunt, Rikona still felt warmth in her heart at this.

"It's fine, I know they're fine."

She knew the only reason he asked this, is because she had asked Makoto to take Kura away and keep her safe. Makoto was the only with the means and who Rikona trusted to take on such an important task.

She had observed some odd phenomenon with Kura, but her fundamental condition never changed. So she had to put her somewhere safe.

"So what now? I mean you told us to follow you ever since we left Mr Regional Director back there." Gin asked.

"We're heading gonna be heading out for a bit." She looked towards Yang Min right after. "Did you call Minayatsu Lerner, Hokori Nehone, and that Xiao Yu?" Rikona kept her reason a bit vague, which only furthered their curiosity.

"Y-Yes I did, they should be waiting for us out front," Yang Min replied.

"Good, now just follow me, you'll know where I'm taking you and the reason for it quite soon," Rikona said nothing more after this.

When Rikona exited the building with her small group and saw the others waiting as expected. She took them deep into the forest, past the river, beyond even the location where Gin underwent his first breakthrough from back then.

When she had taken them far enough, she turned around and looked back at them with that same smile.

Gin felt a bit uncomfortable, this was the same smile she wore when she became the instructor from hell.

He couldn't help himself as he asked "Can you tell us now?"

Asking the question on everyone's mind, they all stared at Rikona for the answer.

Rikona, in the most casual way ever explained, "I need a few more powerhouses apart from me in the upcoming battle, especially with Kura out of commission. Now barring Nehone, you're more or less nearing the next realm's bottleneck, so on that note, if you guys could just become a couple of Invatas that'd be great."

"Eh…?"
