Chains Of Pride

Chapter 43 - Help

Splash!

"Aw c'mon Rikona! You can't expect me to see you n.a.k.e.d and not make a move!" Makoto was chasing after Rikona, who was expertly dodging him at the last possible moment.

"I told you before we came here Makoto, no touching. It's not my fault you're unable to keep your little friend down there under control. Though, I'm guessing it isn't so little anymore then, is it?" Her movements in the water were graceful, almost as if it was less an obstruction and more an aid to her to elusiveness.

"Well, with you bouncing around and those two little friends of yours bouncing along with you, can you really blame me?" Makoto's two eyes were going up and down as he spoke, his eyes apparently glued to Rikona's little friends.

Swish!

Before he could react; however, she slithered right up to him "Hihi, well then I can give you this as a little payment." Rikona locked her arms around his neck and landed a kiss on his lips.

"Mhmmm..."

A m.o.a.n of content came from them both, Makoto's strong arms embraced Rikona, gently pressing her into his body. Rikona's hair was slick from the water, and it stuck to her body, increasing her allure all the more.

The longer they kissed, the deeper it became. Their tongues were long familiar with each other as they engaged in combat, either pushing, pulling or slipping away, such was their play.

"Hah…"

The length of Makoto's pulsating rod eventually kissed the entrance of her cave. This was all she said before she broke the kiss of her own volition. As her face pulled away, she licked his still open lips before she slipped away, a smile on her face all the way through.

"You know what? I feel like I'm not the only one who's been blue balled here today and quite frankly, that's unfair. What I'm supposed to do with this?" Makoto pointed to London's Bridge which was not falling down.

"Not my problem, you're lucky you even got that much anyway. Besides, that was a good show, right?" Rikona mockingly replied.

"You gotta take responsibility even a little bit, and uh...what show are you talking about. I mean yeah you slipped away, but the only slipping I'm interested in right now is-"

"Not you Makoto, I was talking to the peeping tom hidden in the bushes. Did you enjoy the show, or did come for more than just to watch two people bathing?" Though she wasn't necessarily loud, the night was so quiet that her voice still carried quite a distance.

For a while, there weren't any changes, even Makoto decided to calm down and remain quiet, slowly inspecting his surroundings. He was privy to some of the skills the sisters were capable of, and their awareness was no joke. Because of it his juvenile game of 'guess who' was never the same again.

"Makoto, you were wondering what the stages were for us Taliums were, correct?" Rikona asked with a smile on her face while her eyes slowly closed.

Makoto tore his eyes from his surroundings to look at her before answering. "Uhm...yes?" A tinge of confusion infected his voice.

"Taliums who have yet to awaken are known as Dreamers, not really a stage, but that is what they're known as. They're like any other humans, well all except for the potential that lies within." As she spoke, the water that quietly passed her by began to ripple, with the core, of course, being her.

"Those who have awakened are referred to as a Genesis, much like myself in the fight a few months prior." The ripples began increasing in intensity, but the smile never left her face, and her eyes were still closed.

"I am a Genesis no longer, of course." Her eyelids trembled as she said this, the ripples now more like waves than anything else" I have ascended to the realm reserved for an Invata. I am a Core Invata!" Her voice boomed at this point, the waters, so calm before, were turbulent.

"Come out!" Her voice reverberated through the night, shattering the quiet beauty so prevalent before.

"Hehehe, even when I try to hide my myself, you don't even need to try, and you can find me, though I'm nowhere as good as you. But I'm glad I finally found you guys." The voice belonged to a woman. Her face and figure were obscured by the shadows.

"Who are you, are you from the association?" Venom dripped from Rikona's tongue. Her hate for the association reached unfathomable levels. Their treatment of Taliums only deepened this hate as time went on, and as she went through the stages.

"N-No, I'm not from the association! I'm sure you know that Taliums don't enjoy freedom there, and though I'm nowhere near as strong as yours, I'm sure you can tell that I'm a Talium." Her words did make sense if there was one thing they knew about the association; it was that no Talium enjoyed freedom.

"Then speak, where are you from? who are you?" The pressure that Rikona released did not lessen in the slightest. The tranquil river was like a stormy sea.

"…"

When Rikona saw that she refused to answer, her figure slowly rose above the water. Chains of varying lengths extended from her back, they continuously curled about, similar to snakes. The endless clinking of their links only served to magnify the already suffocating intimidation.

"SPEAK!"

This time the voice seemed to almost possess pressure nearly causing the mysterious girl to kneel. She shivered in fear at this point, but this was what she needed, she was no longer able to run on her own, and she needed help.

"M-My name i-is Kyros Numani." She girl finally admitted, she knew Rikona wouldn't ask anything any further if she said nothing, only opting to act from this point on, and she was perfectly poised to do so.

"I-I came here after searching for you guys, I've been running from the association for the longest time. Y-You know how they are, once they've got their eyes on a Talium, they do everything in their power to get their hands on them." She started to blurt out everything she could in an attempt to appease the overlord who floated above the water.

Though she was n.a.k.e.d, there was no shame on Rikona's face. In her mind, possibilities were playing out one by one as to how a Talium who knows about the association was able to evade them and even worse locate this place.

Makoto by this time was already at the other side of the bank, fully clothed of course. He was looking at the proceedings with a grim expression on his face. Rikona and Makoto were of the same mind, if she was able to find them, then it's only a matter of time before the association did, right?

"If what you're saying is true, then I will spare you. If you're a part of the association, hmph, well, I don't think I need to say anything else, do I?" She finally lessened her pressure granting movement back to Numani, before encasing her in an energy sphere.

"Of course, even though you're only-half awakened, I will still need to confine you. Don't try to break out either, you're not strong enough to even put a crack in it." She then hovered to where Makoto was to don her clothes.

'Gulp.'

Numani was overwhelmed by her prowess, she felt all over the sphere. It felt soft, yet unbreakable, quite peculiar. Their powers went far beyond anything she could imagine.

"This is not looking good for us, we'll need to leave here and soon." Makoto was warning Rikona that staying any longer would be unwise.

"Relax, we'll take immediate action in the morning, we'll take her back for now. She's either an ally or an enemy. One empowers us, the other gets killed by us, either way, we don't lose anything." Rikona's voice was cold as she said this.

Makoto didn't say anything at this point. He just followed behind Rikona as they made their way back.

As Rikona levitated the energy sphere to bring their possible ally back, Numani couldn't help saying, "I've spent a long time to find you guys, all I ever wanted…all I ever needed, was help." Helplessness saturated her words.

For a long time, Rikona didn't reply, she saw the hunched figure in the sphere and increased the size of the field to make it a bit more comfortable for her. She looked away when she saw how the girl looked back at her with a mix of shock and…happiness?

Even though he was troubled by what had happened, Makoto still smiled when he saw this.

After a while, Rikona muttered to no one in particular as they edged nearer to their destination, "This is something we all need, but is a commodity that is all too rare…help. Let's see if we're able to drink from its cup even now."
