"Every wealthy man must have a good right hand man, and must be willing to listen."

One of the very important lessons I was taught by father. He thinks all I was thought has been flushed down the drain somehow, but he's wrong.

As much as my father thinks I'm stubborn to reason but it's only against that topic and some things I deem as unnecessary. I remember the lessons. And I never fail to apply them.

"Parker. Handle that situation. They have got to make mistakes at some point. Detain but do not eliminate. Yet."

"Yes Sir " He takes his phone to rattle out the orders.

One things for sure, nothing beats having a good team. And that's something we don't lack. They are all trained to a tee.

We get closer to the mansion and just as the driver is about taking the curve around the man-made water fall in front of the house I see my mom rushing down the stairs.

Damn it this woman. why is she running down the stairs, if anything happens to her father will hold me responsible.

I order the driver to stop the car and move towards her immediately. Thank God for quick movement skips, because she was about falling. I feel a chill on my back and not having to look around I know it is my father glaring at me from his office.

Last time this woman cried because I wasn't picking their calls since I felt they weren't going to tell me anything new, I lost a big contract. Yes my father's handwork. My mother's number one fan. The only one who also pulls him down from his high horse.

Holding unto my smallish mother as she hugs me like she hadn't seen me in years while squealing. I can't help but shake my head. I sometimes wonder if I am the older one.

She saw me last week. Yes that dinner, the one my secretary booked. It was with my mother. Whom I didnt know was coming to see me by the way. I had to cancel everything or she could have traced me in any of those meetings and dragged me to dinner.

And even though I suspect father wasn't also aware of her impromptu visit, if she had called to complain, I would have paid for it. So I had to cancel and bear the lectures all through the night. And the only reason she left after was that I promised to come down here this week.

"Oh Kyros, mom missed you so much" she isn't letting go anytime soon.

"mom you saw me Last week" I complain

"you look so thin" she ignored me

"come mom has made your favorite" she doesn't let go of my hand as we walk in. No freshening up. I have to eat immediately.

"Elena" she calls out to one of the helps.

"yes, madame "

"go tell my husband to come down for lunch. His son is back"

"yes madame"

Afterwards she turns to me with a bright smile as she continues to pull me towards the dinning.

"How is work son. Any new contracts" Somehow my mother knows a lot about my business, I suspect it's from her husband but I am not sure.

"Did you handle the Luthers ?" I looked at her with a bit of surprise. I'm not even gonna ask.

"Mother you knew about them ? why didn't you tell me. I could have fallen victim"

"of course I knew. Such petty tricks. You are smarter than that. And if you had signed that contract, you wouldn't be a Visilis. We are not stupid"

I just shook my head.

"Son" we had just sat down when I heard my father come in.

"Dad" we hug and then sit.

After the meal, my parents look at me and I know it is time.

"So ? This question comes from my father

"I will take over. Maybe I can merge them together. I'm still undecided on that though"

"you taking over is undisputed. What we are concerned about is that you have all it takes except one."

"I have been saying the same thing father, I can handle it on my own"

"I know you son. You are indeed capable. But we must live by the rules. Emilia it seems we are going to sort this out ourselves" He says to my mother.

"you will do no such thing father. It is just this rule that I beg to be left out. Every other thing I have"

"you are damn right we will. It is expedient that you take over. You are no longer a child. You certainly no what's at stake. This is the only thing holding you back"

"son listen to your father and do what's right. You need capable people around you. I know it's archaic but it works. As you can see."

I look at both of them and try one more time

"Can't I just do this with Parker and the rest of the team"

"Are you f.u.c.k.i.n.g Parker ?"

"Alesandro" my mother exclaims. Then she looks at me and I shiver.

"But are you ?" Where the hell did this come from.

"I beg to be excused"

"one more thing Kyros, you are not leaving tomorrow. You need to rest from all the traveling you been doing" I nod and leave.

As I leave I see the smirk on father's face and could hear my mother's laughter.

Can't wait to get out of here.
