CEO's Little Bride: My Irrevocable Decision

An hour after getting to the office my boss calls to let me know he won't be coming in and will be leaving for the business deal he made mention of on Saturday from the house.

After which he left other instructions which means more work, lots of calls to make. And a warning to do a great job at the branch or else I will be the one out of the door.

What a way to remind me of his stone cold personality even in his absence. I clear up my schedule and move to HR department as we'll be going together

*15 minutes later *

We are sitting in the car of the HR representative Adrian Kolisky. Please are all rich men handsome. I think I was struck by a mini lightening when I saw him step out.

I thought I would be going with any of the ones who interviewed me but I was wrong. This handsome man right here is my partner for this drama.

Wondering why I said drama? Well I narrated to him what transpired the last time I was here and that unfortunately I hadn't met other workers enough to judge for myself.

Even though I already have acquired information on the competence of the workers here, I want to see it before making my decisions. That's when Adrian suggested we storm in like a couple.

I instantly rejected the idea.

"Ms. Arjana it's only an act and think about it you want to see what the other workers are like, what other way than to storm in there and raise hell"

"we can do that individually"

" yes we can. But the last time you came here the manager came onto you. Now we don't want him whisking you away. So let me be your backdrop pillar while you bring all the workers out of there offices for assessment "

"this idea... "

"trust me, the best way to assess workers is when there's a problem. That's when you can separate the sheep from the wolves. That's what we at HR do. We make use of problematic situations for inspection."

"Yea I do agree with you on that point "

"haha, but not on the couple point." I looked at him sheepishly

" don't worry, it's all an act and I love myself a good drama. I believe I'm enough to stop the manager while you do your thing. I hope you are good at raising hell" he smiled.

why not just strike me down o lightening. F.u.c.k you are definitely more than enough. Shit

Back to present

I compose myself and we leave the car park. Here comes the dramatic rich couple, we decided on this because no one would believe Adrian is poor. I mean have you seen the man. His suit alone screams I am loaded. Unfortunately yours truly will be the free loader.

When we got in I noticed that the atmosphere was almost a replica of the Last time. The expressions of the clients spoke volume.

I look at the timer on the wall, it's almost 11, then turn to Adrian and said " we are going to raise a 1hour hell before lunch break "

" take the stage cara mia" Adrian smirks and I hope thunder fires him because I'm begining to suspect he is doing so on purpose.

Turning back to the office I get on my runway and I made sure everyone heard as well as looked as I made my way to the secretary.

She could have recognized me but I doubt since she never paid attention the last time. Even if she does recognize me, who cares.

On getting to her I stand there and stare at her. She waits for a while before asking "how may I help you " what a welcoming address

" I am here to find out about my shipment "

"take a seat while I search for it" at that moment Adrian walks up to us. He had been pretending to take a call.

when she saw him she restates that I take a seat.

" hello sir, how may I be of help to you. No matter the issue we'll do our very best to resolve it" she gave her best charming smile while speaking to Adrian. she's obviously flirting. In front of me.

Hell No

"take a seat? do you even know the details of what shipment you are to search for? "

"I said you should seat down I will attend to you "

I suddenly increased my voice

"how dare you tell me to step aside. what kind of an incompetent secretary are you. Asking me to step aside, do you know how much that shipment cost. Is it even your department to ask me that. You had better get me the right person who will answer to me now"

" madam I will not repeat myself."

an octave with my hands slamming the platform which shocked her I can see. And everyone there as I realized that some people had started gathering which I'm guessing some are workers. Where is the manager?

"it seems you people at Zarlton Corp are very incompetent. Do you know how much that car is worth. I am yet to receive any information concerning it. And you ask me to step aside?"

" Madam if you do not calm down I will call security" such a direct form of stupidity

"security? you'll call security? "

Then Adrian asked me to calm down and then the idiotic secretary blew it

"never mind her sir, she's here to cause problems. we have a lot of people like her coming in all the time " she smiled at him.

Thank God Mr. Kyros is not here. This branch would have caught fire. She's so gone.

Adrian turns to her and in a menacing and yet s.e.xy voice says " do not speak to my woman in that manner again " I actually shivered

The secretary was quite shocked and just kept on looking at us. What bothered me was that none of the higher ups came to find out what was happening. Just a few workers who came to ask what was happening and also trying to settle the clients.

we later found out that some had gone on early breaks and others where engaged in other activities.

Wow.

I quickly told Adrian there was no need for the drama anymore. I asked him to handle the clients.Then turned to the secretary

"call an emergency meeting from headquarters and ask all the workers to be assembled in the general conference hall within 30mins" I didn't wait for a response and walked to the elevator.

The next few hours saw to the reformation of the branch.

By the time we finished it was almost closing hour. Before Adrian and I separated at the elevator at headquarters he asked me out for lunch the next day. And seeing as the boss wasn't in which means not much workload, I accepted.
