Mo Beichen obediently opened his mouth and finished the bowl of soup slowly. Xia Weilan let out a sigh of relief and went to the bathroom to wash up.

Ling Xuefei hid in the dark. When she saw that Xia Weilan was alone and had just emptied her glass of wine, she felt her heart beating uncontrollably. She called the waiter that she had pre-arranged and passed him a glass of red wine that was spiked with poison. The waiter quickly walked toward Xia Weilan. He lowered his eyes as he let Xia Weilan take the only glass of wine on the serving tray.

Xia Weilan raised her glass and shook it gently. She accidentally caught sight of a familiar person. It was Ling Xuefei who was hiding at the corner. At this same time, Rui Li also noticed Ling Xuefei’s presence. She looked at the waiter who had just walked away from Xia Weilan, walked subconsciously toward Ling Xuefei’s direction.

Rui Li quickly went beside Xia Weilan and whispered to warn her, “There’s something wrong with this glass of wine.”

Xia Weilan calmly retrieved her gaze, she had already sensed that something was fishy.

“Do you want me to get her?” Rui Li suggested.

“No need. I’ll go get her myself.”

A few minutes later, Xia Weilan walked casually toward that corner. 

“Ling Xuefei, why are you here?” Xia Weilan asked in surprise.

When Xia Weilan finished her words, she gently put down the glass in her hand on the table beside her, as if she did not intend to drink it.

Ling Xuefei took a glass of wine from a waiter and raised her glass, “To my sister!”

“Good, I’ll toast to you too.” Xia Weilan also raised her glass but she suddenly reached her hand to pinch Ling Xuefei’s chin and pour the red wine from her own glass into Ling Xuefei’s mouth.

‘Gulp, gulp!’ Ling Xuefei took a few gulps and her face instantly turned white.

“You…” Ling Xuefei coughed hard and she was terrified, “Quick, quick! Call an ambulance. I’m going to die. I’m going to die.”

Everyone started to look in their direction. They saw Ling Xuefei calling the ambulance and pressing her stomach as she rolled on the floor.

“What’s wrong? Did she eat something wrong?”
“Is she being poisoned?”

“I saw Xia Weilan forcing her to gulp down the wine..”
