“Don’t be nonsense. I am not a pedophile.” Mo Beichen admitted that this young lady was a real beauty. But she was only eighteen, to him, she was still a child. All the guests from the upper class of Beijing congratulated old master Xia for reuniting with such a sweet and filial granddaughter. But everyone else in the Xia family was pulling a long face, especially old master Xia’s brother and his son-in-law. Both of them knew that old master Xia had lost his son, Xia Corps would be in their hands. They didn’t expect that he suddenly had a granddaughter. A DNA test revealed that she was indeed a true heir. There was nothing they could do about it.

“So this is my precious granddaughter-in-law! Such an adorable child!” Old master Mo looked at Xia Weilan with a broad smile. People at their age are fond of girls who are pretty with sweet smiles. “Thanks for the compliment grandpa.” Xia Weilan said without any fear or unease. Old master Mo’s smile widened, “Did you hear that Old Xia? She called me Grandpa! That means she agreed to be my granddaughter-in-law. Don’t you try to play tricks to destroy the fate of the children.”

The two of them made a deal thirty years ago to marry their grandchildren to each other. But old master Xia was a bit reluctant to let her precious granddaughter get married, “My granddaughter is too young to get married. Don’t you want your reputation? Is there any difference between the Mo family with an animal?”. “Sigh. You’re not keeping your promise, old man. Back then…” Before old master Mo finished his words, Mo Beichen came down the stairs and continued with a smile, “Don’t worry Grandpa Xia, even if my grandfather wanted to be an animal, I won’t do such a thing. You can rest assured that I will not marry your granddaughter.” 

At first, old master Xia was happy to hear the first half of this sentence, he was about to praise him for his understanding. But when he heard the last bit of the sentence, he was upset. “What do you mean my boy? Are you trying to say that my granddaughter doesn’t deserve a man like you? What do you mean by will not marry? If my granddaughter really had her eyes on you, you will have to marry her!” This little brat must have thought that he had made a name for himself in the business field and dared not to respect old seniors like him?

“Then tell me, my precious granddaughter-in-law. Do you like our boy?” Old master Mo quickly seized the opportunity to ask. Xia Weilan blinked her eyes shyly and nodded. “Me and big brother are really fated. A few days ago he even rescued me and I’ve spent a night at his place. I refused to marry others but him.”

“What!” Both old men shouted the same word but Old master Mo was already in cloud nine. Old master Xia felt his lung was about to explode from rage. He took off his shiny leather shoe and threw it on Mo Beichen. “Why you little bastard. How dare you bully my granddaughter. You lowlife!” He felt pain stabbing on his heart as he thought of his precious granddaughter who just reached adulthood being defiled! 

“Grandpa Xia, you’ve misunderstood. I didn’t do anything. It was her who insisted on pounding at me! Xia Weilan! Aren’t you going to explain to him that it was you who pounced onto me and insisted that you wanted to follow me home?” Mo Beichen felt that he must be having extremely bad luck. Xia Weilan sniffled, “I was very drunk and you had rescued me from those gangsters. Of course I rely on you! I’ll just stay away from you if you hate me so much.” The air around Mo Beichen turned colder, “You better stay as far from me as possible!” Is there anything she knew aside from pulling off pitiful acts like this?

“Why you little rascal! You’re scaring my granddaughter-in-law!” Old master Mo gave his grandson a slap across his face before Od master Xia raised his temper. Mo Beichen threw his coat that was dirty from the imprint of Old master Xia’s shoe onto the floor, “Cut your act, Xia Weilan. Let me tell you this, I will never marry you. You can be sure of that!”  He turned around to leave after saying that. It was up to Old master Xia on how he wanted to spoil his own granddaughter. But his grandfather must be out of his mind to spoil that girl as well and even wanted him to marry her. What nonsense!

Tears instantly welled in Xia Weilan’s eyes as she saw him leaving. Her tears flowed like a river, “It’s all my fault. I do not deserve big brother.” The gentlemen on spot all felt pity watching her crying as such. However, Mo Beichen pretended not to hear anything. “Stay right there, you little rascal!” Old master Mo shouted, “How is it that Xia-er doesn’t deserve you? Bring her this instant to get your marriage certificate. Otherwise, there is no need for you to come home anymore!” Old master Mo’s words were powerful. Surely enough, Mo Beichen halted. He turned around and confronted Xia Weilan coldly, “So you wanted to be Mrs Mo? Sure!” 

Xia Weilan blinked but she was not in a hurry to wipe her tears. She knew that this was too good to be true. Surely enough, Mo Beichen added, “After marriage, you cannot touch me. Do not enter my bedroom. Do not ever declare in public that you are my wife. This is the basic rules to obey as Mrs Mo. Can you do that?” Sarcasm flashed across Mo Beichen’s face. Bravo for having the nerve to act pitiful in front of his grandfather to force him to marry her. Bravo!　　

“Yes, I do!” Xia Weilan agreed instantly with a sincere voice hammering into one’s heart. Mo Beichen didn’t see this coming, he was stunned. Did she say yes? Not waiting for him to regret, Xia Weilan quickly tugged Old master Mo’s sleeve and said softly, “I’m so happy grandpa! I’ll be a good wife!” The scene sure changed very quickly. One minute she was bursting in tears, the next minute her face was radiantly glowing with happiness. 

A few moments later, a voice was heard, “Isn’t this the lady who was rescued by Master Ouyang the other day? Didn’t you say you wanted to repay him? Your true hero is here!”. Xia Weilan lifted her head to find a teenager in a green shirt standing a few meters away. Ouyang Mingqi stood beside the teenager. He hid the hatred in his eyes and was smiling toward her. That’s right, this was the hypocrite that she wanted to seek revenge on every single moment!

Xia Weilan immediately looked away and said to Old master Xia, “That’s right grandpa. I borrowed some money from Master Ouyang the other day. Please help me to return the money back to him later. Thank goodness things turned out alright that day and I met the love of my life.” Xia Weilan paused for a while and intentionally stared at Mo Beichen’s body. Her eyes were filled with sincere gratitude, “It’s Beichen-ge who gave me shelter. I had made up my mind since then that I wouldn’t marry anyone else but him!”
